  You need custom programming to pull this off.  Captivate does not have with native functionality.

  You must create a widget or a lot of Javascript on the side of Captivate, and you need some programming as well on server side.

  Folks - this is proving to be a very reasonable problem to solve and I had the time today to spend on it.

  Here are the basic steps:

  (1) (use IMAQ find circular 2 edge to get describtion of circle with RADIUS and Center (use ID or OD - your preference edge until edge strength is pretty good in both directions)

  (2) calculate the coordinates of the point circumference associated with angle of interest using VI attached (I had adjust the direction which is the reason why I add 180 degrees from the angle of entry)

  (3) use IMAQ Overlay line with coordinates the circumference point and coordinates of the Center

  (4) output power line IMAQ superimpose your vision Image

  Under/Users, there is a directory with your name. There is a whole/private directories, which are usually used for temporary work space. Is there a specific reason/question looking for files/directories?

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
