  Using a REG file download

  NOTE: This method enables or disables a system icon. This method works for all versions of Vista.

  5 click on Save, and save the .reg on the Office.

  6 right click on the .reg (on the desktop) file and click on Merge.

  7 click the button run in pop - up of security warning.

  8 click on continue (UAC), Yes, then OK when you are prompted.

  9 once completed, you can delete the .reg (on the desktop).

  10 log off and log on, or restart the computer to apply the changes.

  I have a problem with my USB are very random icon, but I've never been able to find one solution other than the circumvention of control of the setting always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar .  I searched here, www.sevenforums.com and many other places.

  How to make the 'active' tab in the navigation bar displayed in a different color, so that the user knows which page is currently viewing the color of the tab from the navigation bar?

  I tried to assign a unique ID to each element of the navigation bar (tab), so they can be decorated.  Then, I made a CSS rule for each tp tab set the same color (green) to indicate that the tab is "active".  I ran a test using the 'HOME' tab, but my procedure did not work.  Any ideas as to what I can do?

• Add separators to location bar entries?

  I've recently updated to the latest version of Firefox and have spent the last days to make him look and work as I want (or at least close to it), but there is something in particular that is bugging me. Return on FF24 and earlier versions, sites inscribed in the history of the location bar are separated by pale gray lines. At FF38, there is no such separators.   There is a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is placed at the right end of the address bar.

  • STOP button: during the loading of the page
  • Reload button: when the page load is complete
  • Print button: when you change the contents of address bar

  Note that you can middle - click on the Reload button to duplicate the current tab in a new tab.

  The search in the address bar searches with the currently selected in the search bar engine with 23 FF. • Windows7 task bar icons won't stay where I put them

  I spent hours carefully "pin" some 20 shortcuts to the Win 7 taskbar. When I removed some UI features, ALL icons have been deleted without warning.

  Then, I collected all the icons, this time putting them in a folder and put the folder in the to-do bar. So far Windows did not remove the folder or icons.

  But. After carefully put the icons in alphabetical order, all the hours or the icons are in a different order. There is no sorting feature for the icons in the taskbar (Windows 7 seems to have lost MANY useful features). The underlying folder is sorted by file name, but the taskbar seems not aware of my stated preference.

  What is happening, and how can I convince Win 7 I really know where I want the icons and ask them left in place?

  I know I can "lock" the taskbar, but I've never had to do before.

  For years, Windows has had a feature where he puts most recently used icons at the top of the lists, or even remove items that have not been used for some time.  Since I was oriented "positional", this "feature" always totally threw me.  I want to know that a specific icon is always '(deuxieme from the left.  So, I disabled it in every Microsoft program that I've met, including Windows.

  I think that my turn this off in Windows 7 has prevented Windows to constantly rearrange my icons.  I would have spotted it earlier, but the shifts that took place were NOT correct implementation of most recently used icons on one end or the other of the list.  In fact, the transpositions appeared more arbitrary than thoughtful.

  If someone of another unwanted meeting moving icons of Windows 7, you can try to disable this feature.  Honestly, I don't know what is the name of the feature. Or I don't like.  This "feature" has lost a lot of my time.

  I'm not a supercomputer user, so please keep it simple.

  Ok. It is the taskbar all moved to the left. Just do what I suggested in my first answer.
   
  Right click on the Start button. Properties | Taskbar and change the location to the bottom.
   
  Or, what you probably read on: right click on a place empty, as between the upper icons and notification icons and unlock the taskbar. Then left click on an empty spot and drag the taskbar to the bottom and relock it.
