  Yes, you do. Serial numbers are Mac only or Windows only. As you have discovered, you can't use a serial number of Mac on Windows (and vice versa).

  You are looking in the wrong library, the file is in the library of the lever of the root system. You have to look in your library account (the ~ means your "user name").

  A few other comments, you say you have CS5 but bridge CS5.1 Extensions to CS5.5 points. Not a big deal, but it means that you must also have a bridge CS5.1 folder in the application supports at the user level.

  (It's kinda a mixture to the top with all the different versions of the applications in the suite CS.) PS is located at number 12 and comes with CS5. Bridge is at version 4 in CS5.
