Installation of 5.7.1 Lightroom 64-bit on Windows 10
I try to install Lightroom 64-bit on Windows 10 5.7.1. He keeps fails with "the wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1 64-bit could be completely installed.
OK, I got this sorted out. The "Lightroom_5_LS11_win_5_7_1.exe" program creates a folder called "Adobe\Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1". (It prompts you for a location.) I removed this folder, rebooted and tried again. This time, it worked!

Error launching lightroom 3.3 in windows
I get an error when I try to open lighroom 3.3. I've only had the program installed for a few days on my newly installed windows 7, 64 - bit machine. All windows and updates of adobe installed yesterday. The last time I used lightroom, I edited a file "141.jpg" coming from my SD card plugged into the computer. I do not remember to save this file, I played with the settings. I closed the program and now, a day later, I click lightroom and a text box appears on my windows desktop that reads "Lightrrom - opening catalog: IMG_0141.JPG.lrcat ' immediately after, an error box appears and tells Adobe lightroom has stopped working, with the only option to close. I searched the forums and couldn't find the user/appdata/prefs folder to remove (using Explorer and the search function). I have uninstalled twice and reinstalled 64-bit and 32-bit versions with the same error. I also deleted the lightroom folder that appears in the 'My pictures' folder before the second reinstall. I just purchased the serial number and put it in yesterday and now it does not work! Help, please. Thank you
This situation arises when you try to create a new catalog of in LR and then pointing to an existing file instead of entering a new folder name to use for the catalog (I filed a bug against it).
You can only solve this problem in two ways (Alt/Ctrl + key during startup doesn't help):
(1) rename the existing JPG
- Rename the IMG_0141.JPG file (if you know where he is) to something like IMG_0141_Ori.JPG
- Start LR, this will start LR in a new catalog called 'IMG_0141.JPG '.
- File/open to open your previous catalog
- Delete the file IMG_0141.JPG
- Rename the file IMG_0141_Ori.JPG in IMG_0141.JPG
(2) to delete/rename your preferences file
- Rename/Delete the LR preferences file
(Location of files Voirarticle article) - Start LR, this will start LR with preferences/default catalog
I recommend the solution 1.

Ball Msg: unable to connect to a windows service. Windows could not connect to the service user profile Service. The problem prevents limited users to logon to the system.
I was trying to deploy 1 Vista image on 4 laptops. I installed Vista Business (32 bit) on 1 laptop Dell Inspiron 1318. After I installed all my applications, I ran sysprep and has shutdown the laptop.
Then I used the Migration of Paragon Hard Disk Manager 2009 HDD utility make a clone of bit by bit of disk SATA (75GB) notebook #1. (Previous attempts to use ImageX has failed) After drive cloning, I inserted the clone into an another Laptop Inspiron 1318. The installation of Vista program began with the EULA and I created a new account user (an admin a/c).
When I tried to connect, I got the message: "the location is not available. C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop is not accessible. Access is denied. "and the ball above message.
I researched and found info telling me to reset the ACL in my desktop connection folder and systemprofile desktop folder. I've done those, but they have not resolved my situation. Another post said to create a new admin account. I did it too, but it did not solve my problem.
I am unable to use any GUI interface after the half-login. I have to use the safe mode and the command line to get anything done.
Help, please.

How to control the location of an XP Mode application window when it is maximized?
How can I control the location of an XP Mode application window when the window is maximized?
I'm running an application in XP Mode on a Win7 workstation company with three monitors. The primary monitor is on the left.
I opened the application in XP Mode and it will display on the primary monitor. When I maximize the application window, the window moves to another monitor and displays only the part of the window.
As an experiment, I have rearrainged the three monitors so that the screen on the right was the primary monitor.
Now when I run the application in XP Mode, it opens on the primary monitor on the right correctly, and when I maximize, it remains on this monitor rigthmost.
So, how can I control the location of the application window XP Mode so that it remains on this primary left more monitor when it is maximized.
Thank you.

Hi Akash,
It turned out that the last update Windows 10 from a few nights ago solved the problem. Now, I think the update of Windows 10 a few weeks ago to corrupt some library/driver LR and some other raw editors use. I shot of LR on and off for two days now without any problems. I think that this experience should help me (and probably you) in the future to try to identify the mysterious causes of application failures.
Appreciate your patience to stay with me to try to understand what was going on.

Free version of Bridge and trial version of Lightroom and Bridge for Windows Vista
Hello
I installed creative cloud a free version of bridge and a trial version of Lightroom, but clicking on a raw image file appears ' to open the file must specify the program you want to open it.
If I try to open camera raw (right click on the file imange) and select "open on CameraRaw" appears "the main application of the bridge is not enabled" and "To activate this bridge function requires that an original product has been started at least once.". But I don't know what to do. I can only use Lightroom separately from the bridge.Another separate issue from the previous: are there and, if so, where it finds a version of Windows Vista Bridge?
Thank you
FrancescoTo open images in Lightroom, you need to start Lightroom and then use the import function. Double click an image not open in Lightroom. Camera raw is a plug-in for Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, and After Effects. It will not work with just the bridge. If you have installed the bridge you will also need to install Photoshop which is also part of the creative package. Then you can use Bridge to access your raw files, then open them in camera raw. The way you have to put things in place now with Lightroom and Bridge, you can open your raw files by starting Lightroom and using the import function. Lightroom is not affected by plug in Camera Raw.

This module is used by Lightroom to import from usb, for example of a camera connected etc.
It was previously noted that Samsung phones have caused these accidents when it is connected.
If there is a usb device that is connected, disconnect it and the error should disappear.
If you have not a usb device that is connected to stop smash go to the moxplugins folder and rename wpdmanager.mix to .moxtest, but you will not be able to import directly from the USB. Copy to place on the hard drive first.

- Access %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs.
==> I can't find this file!
You have received the wrong way - the Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs file is inside this folder:
\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferencesyour usernameC:\Users\
Open the file in a text editor such as Notepad.
Close to the end of the file there is a line that says useAutoBahn = true,- change that to useAutoBahn = false,
Save and close the file. Now, try to start Lightroom.
If this does not work, try to delete the preferences file.
You don't need to uninstall LR5 - the problem is most likely has to do with the GPU and LR6.
I also see that you are not running the latest version of LR, you must upgrade to version 6.3.

What lightroom 5 compatible with windows 10
Is there a problem of compatibility with Lightroom 5 with
Windows 10?
Not, the Application will uninstall all the images.
All installation are stored in the catalog and all the images are related to the catalog.
So no need to worry about uninstalling.
You can reinstall the application from the following link: updates
