  Yes, there could be situations where you can not apply a State locked in a pageItem.
  We need to know what exactly is this causing.

  PageItems anchored in overset text, perhaps?
  PageItems anchored in the tables?
  Graphic images in the graphics cells?

  Better would be to tell us more about your document, that you run the script.

  Prevent error and not blocking pageItems, that are not locked to the 'current state' are easy.
  We could also write a protocol what kind of items that would be:

  I just tested this extract on a document that contains an object multi-state (MSO) and the newspaper is looking like this:

  In Indesign CS 3 and CS 4, when a picture was locked, position I couldn't use the service tag on the image Frame.

  It is not clear from your posts, it is a question of script, but I will respond as if it was. Review the Scripting Guide MarkingUpGraphics.jsx script. We can show your problem by making a few changes to the script. Find the line (in the function of mySnippet):

  var myGraphic = myDocument.pages.item (0).pageItems.item (0).graphics.item (0);

  Now add this line following the line above:

  myGraphic.parent.locked = true;

  Run the script, and you'll see the error message indicates that InDesign cannot mark the chart because it is locked.

  Now, add the following lines below the threshold of what we just added:

  var myRestoreLock = false;

  if(myGraphic.parent.Locked == true) {}
  myGraphic.parent.locked = false;
  myRestoreLock = true;
  }

  Then, find the line:

  var myXMLElement = myDocument.xmlElements.item (0).xmlElements.add (myXMLTag, myGraphic);

  .. .and add the following lines below:

  if(myRestoreLock == true) {}
  myGraphic.parent.locked = true;
  }

  Run the script again. You will see that the script unlocks the graph (or its parent rectangle, really). The script will not change the location of the chart.

  If I lock with the Lock position SMPTE command regions I can still cut off the right edge of the regions. Is there a way to lock completely any region so that I can't change it at all?

  There is a way, but not for different regions, it is only by track (all regions on this track).

  (the first click (to get the context menu to see the track protect) is a control - or right-click)

  I reopened the case again and found two locks A and B (5022-8046, 15051-T1-REV A). I thought that maybe I moved to the locked position when I opened and reopen the case. Am I wrong? Any advice will be grateful.

  I answer just my post here because I found no "resolved" button.

  The device, that I mentioned in my last post yesterday is not a lock. Its position in the 1 or 2 does not affect the monitor.

  I'm the guy can't sleep, if I have a problem in my mind. Last night after work, I turned off all power including the monitor and the computer and I cleaned my memory and USB slots.  Also, I plugged the monitor using DVI connection instead of using the VGA. After that I started the computer my HP pavilion p6670t with monitor back to normal.

  I posted this earlier today and for some reason any, that it has been deleted. (I know it's there an hour after I posted it, so I'm not sure why it was deleted).  Anyway. I have a screen Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW monitor and today by chance, I pushed the monitor down and clicking on it in the locked position.  Until today, I wasn't even aware that he had that.  Long story short I fell on the dell site and discovered that you have to press the Unlock button.  Unfortunately, this does not work on my stand.  The button pushes into a fine, but the base of the monitor will not spark.  I use the two landscapes and modes Portrait every day and really need the stand to get back to the top, so I can rotate.  With all this down, it is almost impossible to rotate and when you do you must rear angle as far as it goes which makes it useless.  I went on Dell Chat and was essentially told too bad and I need to find someone to fix it for me or buy a new monitor.  Then he me the unplugged.  Note I was not angry or abusive up to this point, I was just trying to get it fixed.  Needless to say, after he abruptly ended the session, I was less happy that I almost lost my morning trying to solve this problem (only 30 minutes maximum was with the guys from cat). Anyway. The system is a XPS 600 and is still under warranty for another year.  I really want to spend another $600 on a new monitor just because the support is stuck, but I really need to be able to go back and fourth between portrait and landscape.  Does anyone know any way for me to fix this or get Dell to help me solve this problem? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

• T420s - lock broken lid?

  My new T420s has arrived and so far I am very satisfied with it, but I think there may be a problem with the locking mechanism. I open the laptop very well, but when I close the lid, the latch loop roll-out and lock. The only way I can get to lock is forcing the latch to the locked position (but he meets much resistance) or by moving the latch to the middle position, close the lid and sliding it to the closed position. I tried to apply extra pressure when closing and it does not help.

  So I guess my question is, is my broken lock / has cracked? Or is this just normal with the T420s? All the laptops I've owned or known in the past, lock the laptop is closed.

  Nevermind, it seems to work now. I had to push the locking mechanism; who did I think. It just seems to be a bit finnicky.

  These are Bézier point ICT position keyframes.  They could be messing you up.  Just reposition the layer.  And if you're animating the mask, know it will move over time, because these key frames have not been deleted.

  How am I supposed to check that they have finished my other parts that I asked?

  Shouldn't a key to be part of the order, or at least have the unlocked delivered server.

  Yes, on some systems, it is quite normal. For example, the side cover T620 is put in the locked position at the factory and no key is sent with the system because it does not require a key to open it. It is designed to be opened using a coin or something similar.

  If you have problems, the opening system, please provide the model of the system and the location of the lock.
