  I can't open a session as administrator or my usual profile in windows 7 Home Edition.   This is probably due to a corrupt user profile. Corruption could be simple damaged files or due to the partial failure of hard drive.

  The first thing you can do is backup all data of the suspect profile to another device as memory stick, USB hard disk or enternal. It is where the hard drive is faulty and you need to protect your data against the possibility that it will fail completely.

  Your data will be most likely contained in records under C:\Users\, for example, if your login name is Sean, the issues will be

  C:\Users\Sean\Documents

  C:\Users\Sean\Desktop

  C:\Users\Sean\Favorites

  etc.

  Because you have XP Pro, you can use the Group Policy Editor.  Follow these steps in an account with "Computer administrator" privileges

  • Open the Group Policy Editor (start > run > gpedit.msc > OK)
  • Under "Computer Configuration" expand "Windows settings" by clicking on the +.
  • "Security settings".
  • "Local policies".
  • Select "Security Options".
  • In the right pane, scroll down to "Shutdown: allow system to be shut down without having to connect" and double-click on this entry
  • Under the tab "Local security setting", make sure that the 'Activé' option button is selected
  • Click OK, and then close the Group Policy Editor.

  Who should do it, although you may have to restart to see the effect.

  On a windows machine XP after putting in place the machine administrator and when trying to connect as a user, I get the error message "security log is full, only an administrator can log in to solve the problem." I know how to solve this problem by going to the event viewer, by selecting the security log and by setting the journal to "ignore the events as needed", but I would like to create a script that will do this automatically for me.

  so far my research revealed that the value of the registry key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\Security] "MaxSize" controls this setting and changing the value default DWORD_VALUE to 0 x 01000000 to 0 x 00000000, change is possible. Well, when I did it in regedit, nothing has changed in the security log properties, the default setting of 'remove older items after 7 days' remained the same.

  Can someone tell me what registry key, I need to change in order to make this change? Keep in mind im trying to include this in a script.

  My wallpaper, the desktop icons and most of my documents are gone.

  I have Vista Home Premium and a couple of days and I connected my desktop background was changed. Several desktop icons are missing, and a message came up saying there was a problem loading my settings and check the event log, or ask the administrator (me) for more details. All my "Favorites" were missing in the sidebar and my documents and recorded images folders are empty. Microsoft customer service tells me there is an error in my code for the identification of product (from the Windows Activation in systems and Maintenance) so I can't help out.

  It is likely that your user profile is damaged. I would advise to create a new user account and test if you get any errors. If everything works as expected under the new user account, you can start to recover your account profile by following the steps on the following link: difficulty of a user profile is corrupted

• Malwarebytes crash showing MSVCR100.dll as the problem (logs attached events)

  work on a computer running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, and according to the owner on the 16th malwarebytes began to break up the dialog box just says that the program had planted and windows must close, no information error or something. so I pulled the event logs and it shows MSVCR100.dll as the culprit, however. There are more than 30 different files with the same name. and most are in different program folders, malwarebytes is the version and MD5 info for anyone who is in my computer (I also use malwarebytes) I run a complete scan with TrendMicro housecall thinking it might be something hidden in there but he found nothing.  I tried to run the Chameleon of Malwarebytes, but when it launched the program it will fail the same way.  I have the event logs loaded on my skydrive http://1drv.ms/1lUZtLu I would appershate if someone could watch them over and see if I missed something.

  1. uninstalled and reinstalled the program
  2. full scan with TrendMicro Housecall (64-bit)
  3. system restore
  4. reinstalled the program
  5. taken from the installation of a known working installation directory

  My next recourse must have the operating system offline (using UBCD) and execution of an Analyzer of virus of rescue,.

  i have a new appointment with the customer on 19 for this.

  If anyone has any suggestions for this problem it would be great, I have not had this problem before.

  Can you check the version of the database (4 correct digits), I guess they're different.
  The LGWR switch message may be added in a future release and does not exist in the previous version.

  HHmmmm bears ok I will answer your questions, but I don't really see the relivence of them for the progs anti, spy, virus, malware are not the problem.

  (1) a little more than two or three weeks ago or not.

  No. 2B) I don't buy anti progs that do not work. Why would I? He did not set the blocks just prob the random load IE 8 to a maleware site addresses.

The only thing that it does not stop is when I use IE occasionally it will load a location for a Wal-Mart gift card, but I've just close it. If I use a different prog or any it constantly blocks the random addresses loading IE. I don't have IE loaded. Yes I have popups blockers, but it does not block another page being loaded on the card gift wlmart site. everything else works well.

  Please don't give me no matter what more links to the help pages for Microsoft because I already looked through them all and tried a lot of useful advice and none have worked. What I really need Bear is a set of instructions on what or the files to search posibly containing a script that gives orders to the system files to try and load IE maleware sites. I need to know where to look, what I'm looking for and how to rewrite or erase the command or script. Probly get rid of some files HKLM or commands too if there are orders as well. I'm sure you'll tell me its probly in both registry keys. in any case if you can help with a set of instructions on how manually enter and take care of the problem that would be great.

  I have seen the manual of instructions on how to repair scvhost.exe but I'll not go messin' and delete this file cause I know that you need so that windows run.   Log-in "creates" a file "users.txt" which creates and registers values for log-in and the names of the candidates.

  And in the end, the scores are saved in a file attached, called "scores.txt".

  Now, I'm much too out so that there is not too much to go, or it's really very simple (I don't think).   The key, I think, would be to look at how it puts in the data for you. Even if you do not have the user id verified that it will always insert a user name. So if you want to "pre-load" the users.txt file you make up ids. Look at the format of the IDS that are there and copy this format when you create your own. The KO should then allow users to connect without displaying the box for the first time. I noticed that the users.txt file the user id, then a tab, then the username with spaces between the first name, mi and the name. I don't know what he would do if there was no mi... you have to experiment. Note also that there is a folder and a file to match each user so I would pre-load these things as well. The userinfo.dat file is not something special... just another text file.

  If you don't want the box show even when the prior user does not exist in the file, then you will need change the KO that brings back me to message last week. I only started looking for the answer, but I couldn't find a copy of the KO in a State not locked so that it could be modified. I thought that we would reach a dead end, until I remembered a trick that you can use. Export the KO in XML format. Open the XML file in Notepad and find the part that says AWWizardLocked = '1' and replace the 1 with a 0. I also changed the AWWizardLockInsert to 0. Then import the XML file into a new file and now you will be able to open the KO and make changes. I only suggest this because I know that to release the source for these was intended. The source files for the KO of the application and the Quiz KO are http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/150/tn_15006.html. I suggest you do this to penetrate the other KOs. It will probably take a while to understand the code in the KO. Working with models KO and KO files is a fairly advanced topic.
