Logic pro motu audio interface

Someone has trouble with Motu 4pre after upgrade to El Capitan? I have no signal: alert the Motu 4pre in Logic Pro. All levels of finish on the CueMix interface return to 0 and all the channel input levels return to - inf dB regardless of what I do. I reinstalled the Motu software, but that did not work. Microphones operate and signals to inputs XLR 4pre seem to agree.

You have the latest drivers for the 4pre?

  • Can Logic Pro mix audio film?

Hi, I've separated audio and video recording of a concert by the band, I'm sure that LPX splice them so that they are synchronized, but how do I then get the result of the combined for UTube?

    Of course logic can do:

    • Import the Audio file to your project of logic
    • Import the video file (file ➤ ➤ open film...). Only one video at a time in an open project
    • Drag the Audio and/or video to synchronize manually
    • Make a few necessary mix (fade, eq, compress, etc..)
    • Use the file ➤ ➤ film export Audio to movie... command to create a new video file with audio mixed in
    • Download the video file to your YouTube account.
    • Optional: watch your YouTube video go viral

For the detailed procedure, see the manual.

    Hope that helps

  • Logic Pro does not recognize my audio interface

    Hi all

I just bought the "Claret pre2 audio interface" (Thunderbolt) going to the thunderbolt port in my Mac pro. In system information, both devices show as connected. However in my audio preferences in 'pro Logic' his does not give me the option to select the audio interface, like its just do not appear at all. Someone has an idea of what might NOT be past - lack driver/s maybe? Thanks in advance

    Shane

have you installed the driver and the control software, as shown below...

    https://global.Focusrite.com/downloads?product=Clarett+2Pre

If you do not have - do, restart, make sure you see the interface in the audio and Midi of the Mac - if you do - then it will appear in the logic.

I'm trying to understand why there is a load on the output on headphones output Macbook Pro external keyboard outputs 1-2 going on 3-4 the corresponding inputs of the audio interface.  I am interested to know if anyone has something similar.

  • M - Audio Keystation 49th, not its entry into Logic Pro 10.2.1

Don't know what I do wrong here. I've lived all my Logic Pro X settings and I don't understand why there is no sound coming out of my M - Audio Keystation 49th in Logic Pro 10.2.1.

Can someone tell me what setting could be the cause of the issue?

    (1) the keystation makes no noise... there just send data Midi...

    (2) download the free lunch monitor...

    https://www.Snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/

Install and then press the keys on your 49th and see if it's midi notes transmittiing to your Mac...

If it is not then the 49th doesn't correctly... and has nothing to do with logic... See the manual that came with the 59 E for assistance or call M-Audio for help...

If it is... so that the midi data will be received by the logic so it must be how you have set things upwards in the logic itself... (As you have not selected the right inputs and outputs audio to hear sound from a software Instrument...)

  • USB & Firewire audio interface ports still work as input and output?

I guess everyone has to start somewhere, even if it is borne by almost everyone I would like to know the answer to my questions, perhaps with good reason, what I don't know is so if the USB ports unique connection and firewire on an audio interface function ALWAYS both as input AND output.  In other words, whenever I read the information about the product on audio interfaces, no matter where I go, it is generally accepted that most people buy their audio interface for RECORDING.  And so when most people talk about connecting their Apple computer, iMac or MacBook Pro, it is generally accepted, they turn to the USB as INPUT.  That's all very well and good.  But in my case, I want to use the USB port as output (not the taken mini) and go into an audio interface that gives me as a symmetric output signal that I can plug my amplified studio monitor (which has only a balanced XLR input). All of the examples I see with audio interfaces address registration and involve the use of the USB on the audio input interface.

So my question is: can one USB port I see on any number of audio interfaces always function both of the inputs and outputs? It takes, but if so, why does any site mention this fact and whey didn't they show in all the diagrams of the audio interface manual hook to studio monitors?  I know what may be obvious to some, but as a user with the intention not to use a piano for a scene while but rather a keyboard/MIDI controller that is attached to the iMac to be able to use the virtual instrument software, I need to go to the controller to the iMac, then the iMac in symmetrical powered monitors. Do the balanced inputs of speakers requires more than a simple adapter to give the President a balanced input.  But nobody talks about audio interfaces usually unless they talk about as a way into the computer to record.  As for my situation? Why don't they include this example?  And why should they assume that novice will automatically KNOW that the usb port, an audio interface will work as an output as if they never EVER mention this example or Setup?  I guess it is to operate in both directions!  But really, I'm crazy to wonder when no one never speaks or shows this configuration? He suggested I buy something similar to a UR22MkII of Steinberg, who has a USB port. Even the Steinberg site speaks only records and so using the USB key as input for use with the recording software. There is no mention of its use out the mac in balanced speaker entries, even in the manual. In fact, it is question is always true for every audio interface manual that I watched, even by other manufacturers! Why they all assume a novice like me (whose money is just as good as money from the experienced user) KNOW that? It's frustrating!

I know that this is not strictly a matter of logic, but I guess, in my view correctly, that a logic user community could be more appropriate to address my question for others communities. If I'm wrong, please help to re-send-the matter.  Thank you.

Sound the interface itself that determines it can send and receive Audio or Midi... not the USB or FW port which both are devices of e/s...

All USB and Midi peripheral FW are inputs and outputs

All the USB and Audio FW are inputs and outputs...

All devices USB or external hardware with a USB port... can handle Midi and Audio...  Some do... Most manipulate just Midi... or just Audio

The Steinberg UR22MkII manages Audio and Midi...

However, I do not recommend USB 2.0 audio devices... There are simply too many cases, problems and questions after the major updates for OS X with such devices especially when they are class compliant (IE without driver), even if the UR22MkII Steinberg is supposed to be compatible 10.11...

View the other may vary... because it's just a personal opinion based on my past experiences both in my studio... and based on the many issues presented here and elsewhere.

I'm sticking with Motu equipment for all my Audio devices... and I use iConnect devices for my Midi needs...

  • Keyboard in Logic Pro making strange noise

Recently, I figured out how to use an audio interface for Logic Pro X so that I can record MIDI and hear me during the recording, but the sound I hear is very strange. When I'm not recording, the regular Steinway Piano preset sounds as it contains some very slow tremolo, making some notes sound an octave higher sometimes. However, when I save, the sound plays back perfectly normal. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Data sheet:

    Roland RD - 800 keyboard

    Interface Audio EX Roland Duo-Capture

Maybe the RD-800 sends on two or more MIDI channels at the same time. To do this, simply save a note and take a look at the Publisher of the event, how many events is recorded.

  • Crackling with Thunderbolt resident Audio interface

    Hello

I just bought a new Macbook Pro 15 inch retina, installed with El Capitan 10.11.4 and Logic Pro X, with a new interface reside Audio T4 Thunderbolt, and there is a cracking and sound distortion, crossing the input string. The output is very good. Sometimes the crackling can range from 30 minutes without past and other times it is constant. Unplug and plug cable Thunderbolt and change the port, it can do a little better or worse elsewhere. The crackling and distortion has also nothing to do with the entry levels. I tried:

    • Replace all cables (audio, stroke, etc.).
    • Disconnect other USB devices and even the power of the computer agreement. Also unplugged all other cables, including lunch, from the interface.
    • Purchase of an ALL-NEW resident Audio T4 interface, thinking the problem was inside the unit. It wasn't.
    • Update, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers to interface
    • Turn off the Thunderbolt bridge under 'network '.
    • Make sure bit depth was the same on the interface and macbook

I read on other musicians recording in trouble with DAWs and interfaces after the upgrade of the El Capitan, but not with this problem. This is my first time to go from a mac to a PC and am quite impressed so far. I'm grateful for any help.

For me, when crackle happens "at any time", it is a good indication of low buffer I/O.

Open CMD-comma logic preferences and click the "Audio" tab at the top. Then, make sure that you are on the "Devices" menu Input and output device are your interface. And nothing below your IO buffer size. try increasing this value to 128, 256, 512 and so on. In other words, the buffer is a small part of the memory where the incoming audio stream is buffered and the CPU can perform any processing required on this subject. If the CPU can't get enough data quickly enough, it starts to sizzle. More a buffer gives the CPU more time to perform a treatment. Usually, this is the case for systems with many things, for example, dozens of simultaneous tracks with many plugins active or slow systems. However, this is not the case for your new, shiny things unless you really have dozens of titles and many plugins per track. Or all of a sudden some background process kicks in and use the time processor and disk, such as a Time Machine backup and others.

Make sure you plugged your audio interface directly to the Mac, not a hub or something. This introduces a latency and the buffer drains faster.

    Give it a try.

  • Logic Pro will integrate with Alesis adat?

Logic Pro will integrate with Alesis adat? If so, how?

Do not take into account statement below

Define integrate them, there are several scenarios, I think how you want to integrate the ADAT machine with logic.

To record 8 ADAT tracks simultaneously in Logic, you'll need...

    1. an audio Interface 8 input analog

    or...

    2. an audio Interface with an ADAT i/o.

  • Logic Pro: MIDI channels

    Hello

I just bought the M - Audio Code49 and I would like to split the keyboard although tempered into 4 areas.

I so do not apply on the well-tempered clavier, in area 1 note C1 - B1 channel en 1, canal zone en notes C2 B2 2, etc..

I then selected the 4 buttons of zones on the well-tempered clavier, in a way that 1 2 3 4 buttons are turned on.

The settings are so well-tempered clavier do on the pay be split areas en 4.

Bathroom, on my MacBook Pro (retina, OS X El Capitan), in Logic Pro 10.2.4, I created 4 tracks of instruments.

I've assigned each (in Inspector > track > MIDI channel) UN number correspond to the MIDI channels 1, 2, 3, 4.

MIDI channel 1 pour the first instrument, instrument to MIDI channel 2 for the second, etc.

I thought so have a different instrument by octave on my keyboard, but the Microsoft is not case...

That do I do? I forgot what manipulation?

    Thank you!

  • Piano MIDI pedals on logic pro problems

the pedals of my piano yamaha arius, the right and the middle ones, produce a sound when connected to logic pro X. I can't pass that off, and it drives me crazy because I can not play with pedals, which sounds terrible depends on music. The right pedal produce a E and the middle one a d. and it its really strong. I need a way to configure them to work as they are supposed to! Thank you

This looks like to me MIDI controller messages being modified in MIDI Note messages. (These message numbers of control pedal, 64-127 and 66-127, correspond to these notes, and the value down to a pedal is 127, which, for a note, would be the largest value for sound intensity). Unfortunately, this can have several causes. A simple thing to try is:

But don't think it will work in your case, as I suspect that the messages are sent by your Yamaha like this, so you will have to consult its manual and maybe its forums to find out what parameters to change. I guess that the Yamaha has a direct USB connection and not a separate MIDI interface?

In any case, to check that the messages are sent by your Yamaha, download this free app:

Here is an example when I type my pedal support:

  • Freezing / sluggish: Logic Pro 9. Mac Pro; Yosemite

As the title suggests, I am experiencing sluggish controls and performance in reading with Logic Pro.  My specs are:

Mac Pro (round) mid-2010; 2.8 GHz Quad Core (Intel); 12 GB OF RAM

    10.10.5 Yosemite

    Logic Pro 9.1.8

Everything is apparently fine with the performance, however, I randomly and almost inevitably experience the app 'snap '.

Never quite completely, it freezes, will get rather unresponsive in functions such as when I'm in the reading, he will just continue to play while any activated button will be delayed for a few seconds until the number of seconds before he answers.  This does not happen with the launch at the beginning of a session and a cool app, but wire time, it will be unless I have close / restart the application.

I recently created a new installation of Yosemite on his own internal drive - using a stock of Apple HD (Western Digital, Black Label, 1 TB, 7200 RPM)

The only thing installed on the OS drive is Logic Pro and a few plug-ins.  I watch performance monitors, nothing appears close to overload (this is both logic and Universal Audio monitors CPU usage).  My sessions are not complicated: consist on average of about 4-5 stereo Audio tracks / track Instrument 1-2 / 2-4 Bus titles.  Plug-ins averaged around 2-4 per track.

I use a writing another drive internal (2 TB) and save the files of session while recording / mixing.  My plan was to spend the end sessions at the coast by car after completing their but I suspect that it is the source of performance problems.

My question is, I'm pretty committed to get an upgrade of RAM max (32 GB for my system).  I hope that this will add enough buffer space to avoid blockages in the performance.

    • It is, 12 GB sound like a stretch to try to run the logic without any problems?

    • Would a 32 GB upgrade be important?

    • Logic Pro (9) have known problems with hang up and becomes unresponsive / slow over a period of time with a running period session continues?

    • Any other use?

    • Is it I better off working on and recording of current session to the local operating system drive rather than another drive?

In fact... I think you will find that much of this is related to graphics performance. Are you running one of the EQS of channel mode Analyzer, medium or hi res? This will certainly lead to delays, even if they are not displayed. Logic 9 graphics routines is quite old and showing their age with newer operating systems. Using a dual monitor system (display)?

  • Satellite Pro U400 - audio quality is not good

OK this problem has been plaging me for years. I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro U400 windows 8.1.

    The sound quality is terrible.
I can remember it's bad in windows 7.

Contextant driver is bad, and so is the generic driver windows 8.1.

    Help, please

To be honest, I have no idea what you mean exactly by the quality is terrible.
I've owned a notebook Satellite U400 happened and I have to say that the sound quality was quite good.

Satellite U400 is a small portable 13.3 and the speakers have been adjusted to the dimensions of the laptop.
The Conexant audio chip is part of the motherboard and you will not be able to replace it.

If you want to use another sound card, you can try to use an external USB audio interface.
I use this external sound solution for my home recording studio.

The audio interface is connected to the USB port of the laptop s and the external speakers are initiated for the external audio interface.

By the way: isn't Satellite U400 is the list of the supported 8.1 notebooks... Win so you won't find not all drivers Win 8.1 for this unit on the Toshiba driver website.
