You can configure your computer Windows XP does not start on startup, so you can see the error code when it is blue screening.

Disabling the option of automatic reboot in Windows XP, go to control panel in Windows XP in a left click on start, followed by settings and then choose Control Panel.

    1. In the Control Panel window, open System.

In the System Properties window, click the Advanced tab.

    2. Locate the Startup and recovery area, and click on the settings button.

    3. In the Startup and recovery window, find and uncheck the checkbox next to automatically restart.

    4. Click OK in the Startup and recovery window.

    5. Click OK in the System Properties window.

    6. Now when a problem causes a BSOD or other errors that crash the system, your computer will automatically restart. You will need to perform a manual restart.

  • VM restarts once after deployment

    Hello

I use the VMware API Python bindings to deploy new virtual machines templates.

Part of the deployment is to create a file specification, with a new NETWORK card, for different Mac.

The virtual machine is ok, boots with the OS image that I want.

However, I could see that it starts up to a certain point and then restarts once.

    After that everything works fine.

I'm trying to understand why he did this.

The model is a RHEL installation, without any currently configured NETWORK card.

These will be added via the file spec for the deployment.

My suspicion is that entails once reboot after deployment.

But I have never seen a VM restarts after I added a NETWORK card to it.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    Thank you

    Christian

    Hi Christian,

I recommend checking out /var/log/vmware-imc/toolsDeployPkg.log to find out what triggers this restart, and unpacking of the entries in the guest operating system.

To confirm whether the scripts of customization, the cause, you might want to test the deployment without the customization applied to see how the virtual machine behaves on its own, with none of the steps additional process post-clone.

  • Pavilion G7 stops completely and can be restarted, once, but stops then down immediately

Not really a deadlock, as the machine stops completely, no lights. It can be restarted, but just once and only for a few moments. After that, it will not start for several minutes. It happens by itself or can be caused by hand pressure or lower right or left in the corners, below keyboard. Looks like a problem of heat for me, but doesn't feel not hot at all when it breaks down. Computer repair shop had a look but couldn't solve.

Well, my child machine is Windows 7, as you know already, of course. But I find no help PC and tools or hardware Diagnostic tools. I'm sure that they are right in front of me, but I don't see them. I did search for each word in these file names, and they seem to be not installed on this computer.

In all cases, the problem seems to have been resolved. I hardly believe that it's as simple as the local computer store looked and could not find the source of the problem. Of course, having no idea how to approach a supposed heat problem that would not resolve, even with a strong fan, I ran Ninite then disabled some Canon files and rebooted. It is on for about 24 hours, when he wasn't going to twenty or thirty minutes without a sudden power, before. I cross my fingers.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Satellite Pro L300 restarts once the update the BIOS of the TOSHIBA Site

After an update of the BIOS under windows, my system restarts more. F2, F8 keys are ineffective to turn on time. The screen stays black and there is only some permanent access to the CD/DVD drive.

Can someone explain to me what happened and how to fix if possible? Should I reflash the BIOS or something else.

    Thank you very much

In my opinion, something went wrong during the update and the module ROM was not properly flashed.
According to the people here in the forum, only a Toshiba service agent can help you.

But I found an interesting thread here in the forum that may be useful.

    Hi SteveSJS,

I see that you are having problems with your Mac restarts once you press the ESC key to wake your Mac from sleep. I understand you want to your Mac to wake up from its sleep without problem. I'll be happy to help you.

The first thing I want you to do is a SMC reset, and then test the issue out by putting the Mac to sleep and wake it again.

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac.

If the problem is still there, please start Mac up in safe mode and then put your Mac to sleep and wake up then as you normally would. Check if the problem persists. So go ahead and restart your Mac to pick it up on your normal user account.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

Alternatively, you can test to see if this problem occurs in an another user account on your Mac. For more information on the implementation of a different user account, please see:

But if I exit and restart Firefox, the download button is once again absent, but the extension is always installed. Why this extension works only when I restart twice, and then it disappears again?

When the button does not appear, but the extension is marked as active, try to reload the page to Youtube without using the cache by pressing command + shift + r to see if that triggers the extension to insert the button.

To restart once a day at first, he went to restart every few hours. The battery capacity is increased from 45 about 20%, so I decided to remove the battery and work on AC.

It worked well for a few days, but then one night the dreaded restart has begun. Initially, it was only once a day. Now, a week later, my system restarts every 3 or 4 hours. Upon restart, the screen displays windows stops unexpectedly, and if I want to start windows in safe mode or normally. When I select normally, sometimes, the laptop runs checkdisk.

For me that's not easy to tell if these reboots are related to electronic food and I can't say with certainty why this happens. In General, you should be able to use your laptop without any problems by using only the AC adapter. I have the same situation with my old Satellite A300 and there is no problem at all.

This sudden shut-off valve is a little suspect to me, and maybe it's that some unwanted hardware. I see two possible reasons for this: either is completely cut power or laptop turns off due to another reason which can be overheating.

When you take a look on LED panel when this happens, can you notice that there is no DC in LED?

  • El Capitan woes. Safe mode, test hardware will not work. Restart the loop, kernal panic. Any sugguestions?

I have a MacBook Pro 13 "2011 start. He had some OS X Lion when buying.

Two years later I upgraded to OSX Mavericks.

Less than a week ago, I did an installation CLEAN of El Capitan. Wiped my HD and installed in El Capitan.
I did it with a bootable USB key. The installation went well. Throughout these years, I have drive repair/check, repair disk permissions when necessary. I have a 500 gb HDD installed, and I kept it about 200 GB of free most of the time. Before and after the installation of the El Capitan, disk utility has repeatedly demonstrated the hard drive in good condition.

Last night, I wake my computer from sleep mode, it seemed to be frozen.

Some applications still running - Google Chrome, VLC.

Mouse still worked. Any click of mouse or track to effect not anything on the screen.

I pressed Command-Option-Esc force quit and stop chrome by there for.

Then I rebooted, went to the screen toolbar and progress apple, but then hung on a blank grey screen for about 7 minutes.

I stopped him. I disconnected all devices.

I restarted now down option, same result

I restarted now pressed D, same result.

I have reset the NVRAM and MSC with the same result.

I restarted again and realized account of the progress bar was actually progressing just at an incredibly slow pace. So, I waited, and finally made it back to the login screen. IM speaking 20 minutes more.

Once I finally got on the desktop - I did another disk check and he said everything was fine with my hard drive.

I checked the activity monitor and shows nothing cluttering of CPU or memory.

I emptied the login items (System Preferences > users and accounts > login items) that could be the cause of it.

I would like to have checked permissions of the drive although I doubt it would have helped, but it seems that El Capitan does not provide this feature in disk utility more?

I then tried the same thing - restart + hold down D to see if I could launch a kind of diagnosis, something! It remains just started up new connection, but it bit more quickly this time.

I thought I was clear, but after reboot once more he would go in apple logo/progress bar and then show a weird code on top and then directly to the message ' your computer restarted because of a problem, press any key or wait to continue to '... etc. in various languages. The computer begins to restart once again to do the same.

I turned it off then reset the PRAM, SMC again.

I rebooted into recovery mode to check my HARD drive. Well, now for the first time, he tells me theres something wrong with my drive and cannot be resolved. I find it so weird because it worked very well on the Mavericks and Lion for years. I have never had problems - start the system or hard drive related.

Well it finally helped me get to Apple Hardware Test. Click on "test" and everything seemed to go well up to the mark of 2 min 0 s, thin progress bar froze, trackpad would work, but the mouse would be insensitive by seconds. IM guess that it is a hardware or a disk hard question then? Player's fault? Do not know how to install El Capitan would casue those things...

If I get a new drive and start all over again, I'll be able to reinstall my programs purchased in the app store? The only thing I have right now is Logic Pro. On a PC right now and not can't find anyway to see my purchase history. Checked apple.com and shows no purchase for 90 days, so I guess I need to check through to iTunes or the mac app store for really?

Thanks for reading and any help is greatly appreciated.

App store apps are linked to your Apple ID.  Change the HARD drive will not affect your ability to access these applications.

It sounds that a new HARD disk is in order.

    Ciao.
