    Hello

Thanks for posting the request in the Microsoft community forums!

If I understand correctly you want to turn off the camera at startup assistant software. To do this, you can try the steps:

    a. click on "Windows + R".
    b. Type "msconfig" without the quotes and press 'enter '.
    c. open the 'Startup' tab uncheck the "camera assistant software ' and click 'apply' to save your settings. Reboot your system to make sure that the software assistant camera does not start.

  • Pavilion p7-1235: failed to get comp boot - Windows startup, but no HP user login page

    Please read this:

I was on Google image search and typed in a key phrase to find images.  I decided to change the sentence by moving words.  Highlighted the first two words and I wanted to drag until the end of the sentence.  When I tried, I got a message saying enter now image and image search.  It was weird.  Never seen that before.  I wasn't looking for a real image using a picture, I was just looking for pictures of architecual using key phrases.  So, I hit ESC to clear the highlight and tried typing in the search box, but it wouldn't take any changes.  I closed my browser and moved.  Started a video and the video was stuttering as he played.  Tried again and it's the same thing.  Decided he must be still stuck on the image search so I closed everything, ran a quick system if the scan and then let it stop automatically at the end of the analysis.

A few minutes later I came back to the computer and started it.  He went to the blue screen of the HP with the hand and the flight of image files. Below it read "Press esc for boot menu."  From there, he went to a black screen and the following messages:

    Check cable connections!

    &

Error: No boot disk was detected or the drive failed.

I tried a few different options then found my USB stick recovery I did the day I bought the computer.  That put according to the explanations provided here in the support forums.  This time, on the next startup attempt, he showed the foreclosure "loading files" and then goes to "start windows" - it appeared that everything was fine, but it wasn't. The color Windows icons do their thing and below, he reads from windows... And then nothing.  It just sits there with the Microsoft image on the screen.  Then, this password start windows on the blue HP screen screen... Then it stops on its own and restarts the same exact process: "loading files" > starting windows > blue screen HP > restarts... Repeats.  Sometimes to where it should be, but then it looks like it not connect further.  No of HP user login screen.

In addition, I was never able to get the HP Recovery Manager window appears.  In fact, no HP can't at all (with the exception of blue screens such as mentioned previously).  In the past, once, when I had an error in startup (for more than one year), F11 brought by the HP Recovery Manager and I could simply restart the computer from a previous restore point... In this case, he never came to the top.  I'm not a tech guy but it feels like the side system HP isn't here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated... I'm dead in the water at the moment...

You can try to plug the data cable into a different SATA connector on your motherboard to rule out a problem with the connector itself.

You can test your hard drive:

    Screening of hardware failures

If your hard drive is mechanically dead then your data it lost unless you already have saved or pay an expensive data recovery service.

If only the operating system or a file on the disk is damaged, then you probably can data recovery by plugging the hard drive to another pc as a player sencondary to access the files.

You can recover your system on a drive hard new with your recovery disk USB by following the instructions here. See the section: boot from USB Recovery Drive

  • Giving priority to a CD in the boot of startup menu.

I have a Veriton X4620G and tries to set startup to load from a cd if I need to use a rescue disk.

At startup, I pressed F12 and given two options:

    (1) (2) P3 Windows Boot Manager: HL - DT - DVDRAM - GHAZN

I don't see any mention of an option to change the start to load from a cd.

Does this mean that I do not have this option, or should I do something else to help?

    Thank you.

to edit and save the boot priority list, you must enter the BIOS, not the start menu.

Press DELETE at startup and check the list of start-up, move the DVD in the first place, then save and exit.

In addition, you can use the start menu and choose (2) P3: HL - DT - DVDRAM - GHAZN, is your CD/DVD.

  • E5-571 and startup issues

Have just got a E5-571 and thought id look at updates after updating to windows 7 10

I searched by serial number and saw that the bios is outdated if updated as suggested - the bios was the one suggested by acer.

On upgrade, it started and told me that it couldn't read the disc.

I rebooted and F2 to see what was going on and saw that it has been fashionable to UEFI - don't know what that meant, but after a search on another laptop I changed it to the legacy.

Restarted and it boots into windows 10 ok

Seems slow at startup, should I try and downgrade firmware or is there a solution?

Now, the bios is 1.27 and was 1.09

  • How can I get vista logo is displayed at startup?

For some reason, I see only the loading bar and no logo on it. How should I do?

The 'logo' shows briefly (and this isn't the standard logo) after the loading of the process bar and the black screen that follows but before providing the option of login screen.  There is no way in Vista to control the operation of the system during this process (until the login screen appears and then that can be configured and even eliminated, if that is your wish).

Here is a free software program 3rd party who claims to be able to show the Vista logo during the boot process (though I haven't tried myself): http://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Shell-Replacements/Vista-Boot-Logo-Generator.shtml.

Here's another free bootable image tool: http://download.cnet.com/Vista-BootScreen/3000-2105_4-10789924.html.

I don't know when these images will be displayed during the boot process - so it may not be what you have in mind, but they are there for you to try.

Given that they are 3rd third-party products to play with the boot process, I first create a point in http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/create-a-restore-point-for-windows-vistas-system-restore/ restoration system and the backup of the registry: http://www.adamsdvds.co.uk/tutorials/vista/regedit/backup.php just ot be on the safe side.

    I hope this helps.

  • The Boot-Up sequence issue?

I am curious about the boot sequence and hope someone could shed some light on this topic...

I am on Windows 8, 64-bit... no major problems from the desktop...

I created an Image file (.) ISO) on my external hard drive I use for backups.

Aside from that, it is not plugged into the USB port.

I also have the DVD following the procedure after the creation of the. ISO file.

Is it wise to change the boot sequence:

    (1) external backup drive

    (2) drive C:

    ?

While booting, if the external hard drive is not connected to the computer, the startup will continue right on the C: drive?

Just curious in the case of a problem of later retrieval.

    Thank you

    Andrew

    Hi André,.

The order of the drives a BIOS system follows when looking for the operating system (OS) to start after the computer played POST.

For example, the BIOS can be loaded at the first glance on the C drive (i.e. hard drive) for the operating system and the player then A (i.e., the floppy). If the operating system is stored on the C drive then the BIOS should look no further. However, if the BIOS does not have the operating system on the C drive then it will then look on the player has, and so on according to the configuration of the boot sequence.

Research on the appropriate startup disk, the BIOS you will first record boot time, that tells it where the beginning of the OS and the next program file that will boot the operating system.

I suggest you use the first boot device as your computer hard drive (drive C).

BIOS NOTES: Change the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1529: HP Pavilion p7-1529 startup issues, no monitor activity

My HP Pavilion p7-1529 at start-up, the power led will Flash orange briefly, then turns off. The fan inside works perfectly well. To be attached to a monitor, the screen says "No Signal" even if the computer is on. The light output at the back is green and solid.

When the problem started first, the start light is blue but there is no response from the monitor and after leaving during several minutes, he would have himself automatically restarts and then fine. But the next day, what has happened, and it would be wrong to start. I think that there is something wrong with the boot priority in the BIOS.

I would try to reset the BIOS and boot priorities, but I don't know how to do that without being able to see the options on the screen.

Update: I did a reset of the BIOS and CMOS Battery, and now the starting lights turn blue again.

  • Qosmio G10: Qosmio and Windows startup Logo only appears during startup

    Hi all

Strangely, I turned on the laptop and a white screen is all I can see - not even the backlight of the TFT screen. For I type my password to start blindly and press on enter, and the computer does its thing for 45 seconds (still nothing on the screen and no backlight either) and then all of a sudden the screen password of Windows and the backlight lights up as usual.

So, indeed even if I can access my computer as usual, I can't access my BIOS, or make changes to the Windows startup.

I haven't got a clue what the problem is? Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello Warren

Is it possible to test it with external display? Connect external monitor to the Qosmio and press your power button. I am really interested about result.

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the command prompt.

Start by checking the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.  It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

Do, or do not. There is no test.
