What OS are you using: XP or Vista?

If Vista:

Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
  • 11/11/15 Windows 7 Professional Patch forces Lenovo X 220 in endless loop
    This morning (11/11/15), I woke up my laptop Lenovo X 220 running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and I saw a patch update had been installed during the night.
    I clicked on my profile deleted icon screen and return to the logon icon screen. There are three profiles to choose:, admin my wife and me. No work. I click on any one of them and it is just the same screen. Will not progress to the desktop. Seems to be a reboot loop.
    I restarted many many times. I removed the battery. I held each F key trying to access advanced configuration. F1 on my machine gets me into BIOS. I clicked on system start 'Quick' to "Analysis" but that just took more time from the BIOS before arriving at the display of the icon.
    Any F key I have (other than F1) the system continues to boot to windows but always stop at the connection of the screen with icons for profile and then won't let me go any further. Lenovo has the little blue button that is supposed to fix the computer. Now that button gets me only beep, then he continues the startup of the connection profile screen. No matter what, I can't do anything to start the machine.
    I ran the machine in now the power button. That came back with "Windows was not end normally.» You want to start in safe MODE, safe MODE with networking or command window in safe MODE? "The screen did NOT offer the option to"REPAIR COMPUTER"to go to a previous installation point. The three modes always bring me the same profile screen. Clicking on one of the icons just rest in the reboot loop.
    No matter what I do, it just restarts.
    What did Microsoft for my OS Win 7 Pro? It has worked wonderfully for years. Now Microsoft has bricked my laptop. It's really annoying.
    One thing is for sure. I turn off "Automatic updates" from here out - if I ever start my machine again. It is clear that I can't trust Microsoft even to "solve" a problem in their own operating system.
    UPDATE: I just remembered that I had a Windows Phone plugged into the USB port to charge the phone when the update occurred. A STINKING PHONE WINDOWS! Not an Apple, not an Android. A WINDOWS PHONE that made my work on me. (It stinks by the way.) I'm afraid that this stupid piece of junk may have messed up the installation of update.
    In any case, tonight I tried to recover the laptop. I made a Win7 64-bit to get CDs from another Win7 machine and tried to do a system restore, but of course, there is no point of system restore on the computer. Did not one, conveniently. Tried every service offered by the Sys restore CD without result.
    The Lenovo X 220 had a partition on the C drive for the restoration of an original installation, that is going to lose all my programs, of course, but I can not even the reader to do the installation.
    Something really watered this X 220 Tablet.
    If Microsoft thinks I'll never trust their laptops after they have destroyed one of mine, think again. So disappointed with Microsoft, Bill Gates with his billions.
    Hi Daniel,.
    Hello, I had this problem a while but a restore fixed it, and of course it happened recently that I want to challenge results.
    Basically, my mouse and my keyboard do not respond before Windows logon.
    Opening height of session does not either.
    The keyboard and mouse seem to work if I go into the conservation program (ESC key at startup and F11).
    I'm running Windows 7 on an HPG60 laptop 64-bit with 3 GB of RAM.
    Processor: Intel (r) Celeron (r) CPU
    900 to 2.20 GHz 2.19 Ghz
    My mouse is actually a touchpad - Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad.
    My keyboard is attached to laptop Standard 101/102 - key or Microsoft Natural Keyboard PS/2 with HP QLB.
    I need help as SOON as possible so that I can get back to work.
    This is equivalent to the old rule of iron of computing: If you have important files on your PC, then you need to back up an external medium regularly. Problem request not do or wait until you have a major problem. Fortunately, Windows 7 gives you a loop hole. Here's how it works:
    1. get a disk external 2.5 "in a USB case.
    2. connect it to the PC.
    3. set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    4. start the computer with the Windows 7 repair CD or with your Windows 7 installation DVD.
    5. press a button if you are prompted to start from the DVD.
    6. When prompted, select "Safe Mode Command Prompt".
    7. connect as administrator if you are prompted.
    8. Select repair when prompted.
    9. Select command prompt.
    10. save your files or folders on the external USB drive (or a flash drive).
    If you are not familiar with the commands of copy in the command line environment, ask a friend gifted in computer science to help you.
    After solving the problem of keyboard and mouse, do you a favor and use the USB disk as backup media. On a regular basis.
  • Logon trigger does not not on DB-Link?
    Hi all
    I have a serious question on the table access via a database link.
    I have three schemas:
    DATA@SOURCE
    INTERFACE@SOURCE
    WORK@TARGET
    DATA schema has a table called T1
    The scheme of the INTERFACE has select privileges on all the DATA tables. In addition, INTERFACE schema has a logon trigger change the "current schema" data:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER TRG_A_LOGIN_SET_SCHEMA AFTER LOGON
    ON INTERFACE.SCHEMA
    BEGIN
    execute immediate 'ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA = DATA';
    END;
    The scheme of WORK has a link database to the schema of the INTERFACE called INT_DB_LINK.
    I am now logged in the scheme of WORK on the TARGET database and I will execute following statement:
    select a from T1@INT_DB_LINK
    -> it works
    Then I run
    declare
      cursor c is
      select a
        from T1@INT_DB_LINK
       where rownum<2;
    begin
      for r in c loop
        null;
      end loop;
    end;
    It does not work. Error message is ORA-000942: table or view does not exist.
    But why?
    Can someone help me?
    Thanks in advance
    Py
    Hi all
    After a long, very long search I found what caused this strange behavior.
    The error ORA - was not triggered by the SQL execution engine, but by the SQL-parser/SQL-Validation.
    The second statement is that an anonymous block of SQL Oracle parser checks all the dependencies of objects before execution.
    This means that a connection is established to the TARGET to SOURCE checking if table T1 is available. The strange thing is
    that, in this respect the "ALTER SESSION" trigger is not fired. If the Analyzer does not find the object T1 in schema INTERFACE.
    If I create an empty table T1 in INTERFACE the anonymous block gets analysis/validated and the statement is executed. But this
    time the block made a normal life 'connect session' and the trigger is triggered. This means that statements access table T1
    DATA schema. (But T1 in the INTERFACE should be existing this analysis/validation works)
    I don't know if it's a bug or a feature.
    To work around this I created private synonyms in the diagram pointing to DATA objects INTERFACE.
    Thanks for your help!
    Py
  • iMac 2012 - sierra installation failed, caught in the loop, please help
    Hey everybody.
    That's what I have:
    iMac 27 "mid-2011. He had on El Capitan.
    This iMac contains two hard drives and drive superdrive.
    A disc is 256 GB SSD and the other a regular 2 TB internal HARD drive.
    As SSD is faster that I keep my OS X and programs on this SSD drive, all the other stuff like photos, music, documents, are put on the classic 2 TB HDD.
    This is what happened:
    Attempt of I:
    Everything was going well until the installer has discovered that the SSD did not have a sufficient space to install. I quit the installer, the option pop up, I called "Startup Volume" has chosen my SSD and restarted it. Has been 2 attempts, if I'm not wrong, but worked. I killed and moved the files, I think now would be enough disk space on my SSD tried the Sierra ad install again.
    --> Attempt II:
    This time Sierra Installer arrived at the stage language choose where he welcomed and asked to choose the language. The next screen it tells me once again: not enough space, the bigger internal drive offers enough, but I don't want that. So, I tried the same exit to leave the program and launch then boot Volume installation...
    ... that in trouble:
    My SSD drive now no longer appears in this window of the boot Volume.
    When you try to access the boot Volume it will skip in the app language choose, sometimes shows this window choice animation multilingual, sometimes simply stays gray but will show when moving the mouse upwards arrow to the top of the screen, choose language drops in when I try to open the boot Volume after leaving the installation program. In addition, the language choice (can not be exited by cmd Q is said by the way) seems to open before the boot app Volume and the boot volume app does not appear my drive more-> Catastropheeeeee!
    Also option to restart regular off the menu above will not help. After about half to the top of the boot of the SIERRA Installer keeps new hindsight. No chance to reboot to my previous El Capitan based OSX. I am bound to this loop.
    Is turned off, wait and switch back to does not help, even in a loop.
    Then I tried also open disk utility, I also have an external time machine backup drive connected. Tried this way to restore my SSD of time machine, which fails on every attempt.
    I'm totally caught up.
    Help, please!
    just in case.
    I did the job.
    Launched my iMac in disc mode on my mac pro book. A few items to the disc hard iMac deleted, then restarted, macos sierra resumed and concluded correctly, in other words: all and working again!
    Even a message to Apple to look bad when insufficient disk space is detected, see my first post, thanks.
    Best regards
  • Boot Loop iPhone 5 c problem
    So that's how iphone got a uppdate iTunes, but after she got into a boot loop.
    The phone can be switched on using the on/off switch, but it can be disabled by using only the power on + combo home buton!
    Powers on but right phone at the apple logo, it stay there for 3 seconds then the apple logo fades to grey (like an LCD) broken then there restarts... and that on and so on... until the battery is empty.
    The phone goes into DFU mode, itunes acknowledged, but after itunes launch the iphone in dfu mode, itunes says "waiting for iphone", the phone restarts, but instead to continue the restore procedure, it penetrates into the same loop and after 10 minutes, itunes gives error.
    The phone is out of warranty, and I want to record just because it seems perfect, no sign of use!
    Oh and another thing, I tried to put another apple original battery (I hade a new brand in hand 6!) did not work...
    So guys I came to you for your review. Be free to say what you think that will fix this poor iphone!
    I was about to say to make an appointment at the genius bar. They would try to restore it for you free of charge...
    Then I saw your mention of trying to put a new battery in there... If you have physically opened the phone upwards, it is technically unbearable and completely untouchable by Apple. I couldn't hurt to consider anyway and see if they can get it to restore, but you can kiss all hopes for a farewell to replace security exit.
    Swift playgrounds, how to Code 2, build a loop, I can not all isOnGem. What Miss me? If I am not mistaken, is it a bug? How should I declare?
    I can't figure out how to solve the puzzle without this.
  • Note looping in GarageBand
    In GarageBand, I did a recording of me just sing a long note and want to loop an entire song so the note sounds even longer.  But when I do that, whenever the loop again it makes a little noise, hard to explain, but even if I cut the beginning and the end of the recording, he does always a little sound whenever he performs a loop itself and I don't know what to do. Y at - it a setting I can change to stop? I want it to look like a long drone.
    To what you want to achieve, you must to crossfade regions to create transitions smoothly between them. Unfortunately, GarageBand doesn't have the ability to fade or crossafe Audio regions (Logic Pro X). However, all is not lost, there is a solution, you can do the same thing with automation.
    Look at the screenshot to understand the procedure.
    • Create two Audio tracks
    • The first Audio track has the area of your voice recording audio
    • Apply the Volume Automation to increase the level at the beginning of the region and lower end of the region.
    • Now copy (Option-do drag) this region in the second piece so the end of the first area overlaps the beginning of this region. Automation is copied with the region.
    • Now select the region on the first track and the area (you just copied) on the second track and the Option-do drag to the right to copy both of them, yet once for the region of second and third overlap.
    • Keep this copy procedure as long as you need it to be.
    As you can see, when a region Faints, the other region on the road to spare fades, create a crossfade without welding.
    You play a little to find the right length for automation to come in and out and also how to straddle the regions.
    I explain details of the automation and the rest of my book of GarageBand. ""X GarageBand - how it works".
    A tip:
    Instead of having a linear Automation curve between two Automation Control Points (the points), you can create logarithmic shapes by Ctrl + Shift + drag the line between two Control Points. Drag left/right for s-shape or high-low exponential curves. It will look something like this (sh + ctr + click on the line to linear curve).
    Hope that helps
