• Looking for hosting companies with web form processing scripts

  I'm a beginner when it comes to creating web pages.  I have created a website for the first time and am looking for a Web host that can provide the form processing scripts.  I'll try HostGator, but when I asked about it on their online chat, the lady who answered said that they do not have what I was looking for.  Due to technical difficulties with their online chat program, I don't have a chance to ask follow-up questions, but I had the impression that the Lady, that I was talking knew what she was talking about.

  I would ask here.  It is my understanding that if you have forms on your website, you need form processing scripts to run.  Can you name of hosts which can give them?  Is this something that most web hosting companies can normally provide?  Are there any that you would recommend for someone like me who will use forms on their web site?

  I think your priorities for web hosting should be based on other more important criteria - availability, services, space and affordability.

  Canned scripts are a secondary issue.  Practice for beginners, Yes.  But generally UN os without any room for customization.

  • PHP MySQL & or Maria db

• Web site look at a problem with Firefox 3.6 on Windows 7

  I use java script to the current titles of list on my website userfriendlypc.net as, "In The News". The site has always looked good under Firefox, IE, Safari, Opera and Google Chrome. Since migrating to Windows 7, Firefox, Firefox only makes the text of the link in this area as shit look after the first link. The text becomes a greenish color and the hovered link seems to lag makes really bad sound. This happens only in Firefox and only under Windows 7. I tested with a basic Firefox and XP installation under Windows 7. Any supplements or anything else has been added when it occurred on the test computer.

  Looks like a problem with the font smoothing (ClearType) that is not configured correctly.

  Windows 7 users should use the ClearType tuner in Control Panel under appearance and personalization to set their ClearType settings.

  I'm sorry that you trouble with that. Looks like there may be a conflict with one of the cookie settings in your browser. The Web of Typekit site uses cookies on Adobe.com and the connection will not work if you have blocked in the browser of third party cookies.

• The font size in Photoshop looks totally different in the Web

  I have a very strange problem. I'm using Photoshop CS6 now make some modifications to my Web site.

  We use font type Arial size 12 points of the PSD file and also Arial size 12 points in the web. But in the web, the police seem to be much larger than in the psd file.

  When save us the PSD to JPG format in the browser and compare it to the site fonts of the jpg looks well but they look much bigger in the web.

  It seems that we must use 12px in the Web, so it will look even as 12pt to PSD.

  But I am very confused by the present. How is that possible? Or what we're doing wrong?

  The web runs on pixels, not point. According to the font size of the browser by default, the system font sizes and factors 1 million type dynamically rendered in the browser can always different. Even assuming 72 dpi is not exactly true any longer because of the views high resolution and browsers using another logic internally. that and of course the CSS formatting on the web site can substitute some things as well... Complex issue with no easy answers. Generally, you can expect that it will look like the broad more to wait it looks under all conditions. So to get an idea of how make you some texts and don't mix too much with normal text image-based text.

• Tips for creating an application with web services please?

  I created a simple application for a client who interacts / monitors a device VISA with LV 2009.  The architecture is essentially a state machine with a timeout for VISA calls that retrieve the current state.

  The client asked that the app will also be controlled via the web and asked me to set up a demo with one or two simple functions.  I have the experience to bring charges against the Server Web LV7 model, but not with web services.

  So here's what I did...

  (1) added a line to my application that would inject actions in the state machine.

  (2) created a simple VI pushes these actions in the queue and plans to use it as the Web Service.

  And then I followed the examples for Web Services, thinking that the Web server is running in the same program as the development environment, such as the version LV7.  This doesn't seem to work.

  Could someone give me a quick overview on how best to do that, or to report an article?  I have simple working WS, but here are a few questions...

  We met this difficulty with our web app (LV 2009) as well.  Because now we feel the solution the easiest way is to activate the VI server in your main application (EXE) VI and place calls to its hierarchy of web services in the open Application > VI Open > call by Ref > close VI > structure to close the Application.

  Although we try to minimize the use of the present in web services, it makes sense for some resources shared and accessible throughout the world as references to database, configuration globals, etc.

  I also note that there seems to be an instability that we have not been able to identify which may (or not) be attributed to the use of this technique.  The symptom is LabVIEW from memory immediately at some point.

  I am currently looking into migration towards 2010 LV, and it seems that the same constraints between instances of the application are in place.  I expect that, but I was expecting some more simplified with the next version of LV interprocess communication methods.

  If you are hearing 3 or an earlier version, the activation server was arrested.  Take a look at this page, Download Adobe Acrobat 7 and Adobe Creative Suite 2 products for instructions on how to download another copy of AA3.01 and use a generic serial number.  (For the purpose of the present hearing 3 counts as CS2 even though he was not part of the Creative Suite then.)

  However, if you are using a later version of the hearing (CS5.5 until the current 2015 CC) while the others are right... you will need to contact customer support Adobe because only they have the serial number details.

  Hello, I am still fairly new to Muse and BC and will have a little trouble with the addition of forms. I know how to create a form in the muse and place it in my site. But I have a problem with is the info that the visitor to 'Send' for download on the website of BC instead of emailing for me every time... Already do this automatically if I host with BC? Or the other option, I know how to create a form in British Colombia, but can't put into my site. I followed some tutorials but don't know what I'm missing. Any suggestion would be great. Thank you!

  Looks like you have IIS as the Web server 'by default'.

  Try this http://localhost: 8080

  If that takes you to the Apache Web server, then you must set it as your default.

  News added: it is possible that both are listening on port 80 and IIS is a winner. To reconfigure IIS, open it and site web by default, you must change the site link. Http must be on port 8080.

  If Apache is already set to port 80, then you will not need to do anything else. I think that is fair. I don't know how to set up Apache to listen on port 80 if it is defined on port 8080. I do not have to look at.

  Make sure that you stop and restart your web services.

  Hello

  From your description, I suppose, you have installed 10g on a machine to which you refer as a server. Then installed Forms 6i on a machine, which is the client.
  Now, when you are using client/server forms (and active web), you must have the installation of the Oracle client, which should come with Forms 6i. No need to think on the application server.

  You entered in PAYTEST in the tnanames.ora on the client machine?
  You can run command "tnsping PAYTEST" on the client machine? What is the output?
  On the server, try to connect to the database 10g using tns i.e. sqlplus /@PAYTEST. Does it work?
  Make sure that the listener is running.

  Post the errors you get test and we will have a few things to think about.

  (Looks like you guys are moving from 8i with web according to Forms 10g and something else :-)))
