  If you have had success with witout XP SATA driver installation, there is no need to worry about this. Do not install Intel Chipset_that is the motherboard drivers.

  Real novice here and, of course, I did not receovery disks when I bought my laptop.  Talked to HP colleagues tonight on the purchase of recovery disc for my Compaq Presario V6310US.  He told me that I don't have to buy records; that I could go to HP.com and download them here.  Told me it was easy.  I told him that he did not know me!  I had the location of the driver/software and see a lot of things listed (including the order form to purchase recovery discs) but don't know what to do (other than to order discs by mail for me).  Am I supposed to just to buy the discs or am that I supposed to burn discs for all the other things that listed there and not buy discs by mail?

  You must phone/web-form to order them and have them sent you... There is no mechanism in place to download records (officially) from the HP website.

  I think that HP has released/posted drivers for all models that will be supported. All have support do not at this stage are not likely to see them.

  Windows 10 includes a large number of drivers for the hardware older - but no way to know for sure before the upgrade. I'd certainly do Windows 7 recovery discs before you perform the upgrade.

  Hello SteMMo.  I understand that you are curious to know what LCD screen using your laptop.

  Here is a link to Guide of Service and Maintenance of your laptop.  It covers the process of disassembly and repair for your laptop; It also lists the relevant references for you.  In the display section begins on page 55.  According to the document of your laptop uses part numbers 454934-001 (no webcam) and 462456-001 (with webcam).  You should be able to order these parts through the HP part Surfer.
