  • Has anyone found a fix for Airport Express music jump Apple?

I searched for weeks for a solution to my intermittent gaps in music, aka jump. It's so frustrating. I really don't want to have to go to a wired solution. It will take too long and a cable unattractive in my rooms.

I use the Bright House Networks 5 ghz Arris DG1670 router/modem that my provider rents for me.

The router is less than 30 feet of my Airport express

The airport express is on the ground, hooked by fiber TosLink Cable to my Focusrite Safire Pro 24.

    • Thinking that this could be a problem I have since turned sideways to try it as a cure for that surface in contact with the ground is less. The next step, I'll try is put on something instead of on the floor. But given the proximity is is not much of a problem anyway.

    I tried:

    • change the channel on my router from 11 to 40 to 47 to the automobile. They all jump.
    • I tried the 5 ghz and 2.4 ghz for connections.
    • Streaming of my Macbook Pro, streaming from my iPad 2 Air
    • Change the setting of joint A/N to N only (since the Express a N)
    • Activation and deactivation of WMM in the router configuration.
    • Pass bandwidth of 20/40 to 20 only and then back again to 20/40.
    • Change the interval of tag to 500 ms 100. (This allows supposedly with the flow and the battery life).

All jumps. But after change the channel to a 44 superior to WMM and putting the Express with nothing around him to block the antenna inside, he seems to ignore a little less. It is likely that there are too many networks in my home nearby that are fighting in the spectra of bandwidth, but I hope someone may be able to offer something else.

I suggest anyone with the same problems to try some of the "fixes" I tried above reading.

    Thank you.

It may just be possible that you have a bad AirPort Express...

I'm assuming that you have a 2nd generation 802.11n AirPort Express AND that you have configured to join the wireless network provided by your gateway Arris... correct?

The router is less than 30 feet of my Airport express

As you probably already know the AirPlay flow is from your MacBook Pro or iPad 2 Air to the Arris first, then, the Express. In theory, you should get the best streaming when all these devices are co-located. As you can imagine, if you take a camera from another room or floor, the stream will pass through a number of walls, floors, ceilings, etc., which will affect the overall available bandwidth.

    • Change the setting of joint A/N to N only (since the Express a N)

Not quite correct. The Express supports modes radio 802.11a/b/g/n. 802. 11A only works on band 5 GHz. 802. 11 b or g only works on the 2.4 GHz band, and 802.11n can operate on either.

    • Activation and deactivation of WMM in the router configuration.

AirPort base stations do not QoS support for this parameter shouldn't have any effect.

    • Pass bandwidth of 20/40 to 20 only and then back again to 20/40.

This setting is usually only on the 2.4 GHz radio. All AirPort base stations do support 20 MHz channels across this tape. I suggest you leave this set to "20 option."

and put the Express with nothing around him to block the antenna inside, he seems to ignore a little less.

Most likely, it was the most effective solution. All wireless routers must be placed so that they are in a (possible) clear space for their antennas to be clear... especially of metal objects.

It is likely that there are too many networks in my residence nearby which are fighting in the spectra of bandwidth...

It is unfortunately a real problem... and maybe deserves to be studied more, if only to verify that it can be a cause. In an intense environment of Wi - Fi, most people will try to get the "best" of the performance of their network. This could mean, they have implemented their wireless routers to produce a network that can interfere with others without thinking.

At best, you can try to change the channels that you already find one located on a less used channel... but without duplication of canals, including on the 2.4 GHz band are very limited. (1, 6 or 11 to the United States).

  • Looking for Non-iTunes Apple TV 4 movies

The new remote control and the method to search for non-iTunes movies is absolutely useless. So I hope we get an update soon for a search of movies, similar looking for my music.  For people who have a large media library (more than 1000 films), the new Apple TV is a bit useless and frustrating reality (the exact opposite you would like in a user interface).  Don't know who has signed off on this design.

We had no music or Showtime or PBS included at launch, but they are now included. I suspect as with Siri on iOS, we will see the continued evolution with Siri on tvOS...

Research on your Apple TV (4th generation) - Apple Support

Search for movies and television shows in several applications at the same time

Use of Siri (in some countries) or the search application to search for movies and shows through applications on your Apple TV (4th generation). You can search by title, genre, actor and more. With Siri, you can also narrow your search, you go.

When you are looking for content with Siri or the application of the research, the Apple TV checks these content providers, with more to come soon:

    • United States: Film and television shows in iTunes, HBO GO HBO NOW, Hulu, Netflix, PBS, PBS Kids, SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME anytime
    • Australia, Canada, France, Germany and United Kingdom: movies and television shows available on the iTunes Store and Netflix
    • Other countries and regions: movies in iTunes

To search for content in one application at a time, just open the app and use its own search function.

    Research topic

    • You can use the search application to find applications in the App Store. Siri research applications in the App Store.
    • If you have a subscription to Apple's music, you can use the app or Siri Apple's music search.
    • The search app and Siri do not search home Shared libraries.
  • Looking for another expression of Regexp

I'm looking for a better regex. I want to find all tables that are marked as Temp tables. The rule is simple: they have TMP with a underscore in the name of the table.

The traditional syntax is as follows, for example:
    select owner, table_name, num_rows
    from all_tables
    where table_name like '%/_TMP%' escape '/';
    or table_name like 'TMP/_%' escape '/' ;
I wonder if there is a smart regular expression to get the same result. The best I came up with was:

    REGEXP_LIKE (table_name,'(_TMP) |) (()_^_TMP_) ')

example: with the 'bad' tables must be returned
with testtabs as (select 'TMP_test' table_name from dual
UNION ALL select 'test_TMP' table_name from dual
UNION ALL select 'test_TMP_NEW' table_name from dual
UNION ALL select 'wrongTMPtest' table_name from dual
UNION ALL select 'TMPwrong' table_name from dual
UNION ALL select 'wrong' table_name from dual
            )
    select * from testtabs
    where regexp_like(table_name,'(_TMP)|(^TMP_)');

    Row#     TABLE_NAME
    ----------------------------------------
    1     TMP_test
    2     test_TMP
    3     test_TMP_NEW
I hope to have a simpler expression of POSIX. Something where the string "TMP" is used only once.
Unfortunately, something like '(_|^) TMP' does not work, although it's close enough.

Yes you're right. But I guess that no one will keep a tablename "TMP" in real databases for data storage. :-)

  • Software TOSHIBA that are looking for the latest drivers and installs them

Is there a software? I have Toshiba tempo, but it appears just a message saying that there is a new drivers, but there is no option to install automatically as well as to check the current version?

    Hi monte0682,

Yes, there is a software that automatically installs these updates. The tool is called Toshiba Service Station and you can download this tool on the Web from Toshiba site.

But why is it so important to always have the latest drivers?

Never update all the drivers if the computer works properly. This is only necessary if you notice any problems.

  • Looking for a specific phrase within a document.

I use Windows 8, I used to be able to search for a specific phrase within a document by using the file Explorer.  This no longer works.  I'm looking for an expression as ZONE-14-D search returns anything that has all the combinations of these letters.  Is there something I'm missing in the search parameters?

In this case I will try to rebuild the index it uses to search for.  First of all, to run this diagnostic Auto search.

    (1) open Control Panel by typing Windows + X

    (2) type "disorder" in the search box and go to the troubleshooting section that appears

    3) go to system, then click on find and fix problems with Windows Search

  • Network error extend w / Airport Express (7.6.7)

I see on various discussion forums that there is a problem with the firmware 7.6.7 for Airport Express, it generates an error when you try to select the device to extend a network rather than join it. Currently mine is set up for these, and I can't change it to extend the network instead. Again, forums, I have read it seems to be a bug in the firmware 7.6.7.

I tried downgrading the firmware to one of older versions who apparently always worked to expand a network (7.6.1 and 7.6.3) but they cannot be installed on my device as it comes with 7.6.7. Any advice? Anyone else see this problem?

The Airport Express will be only "extend" a wireless network is provided by another Apple AirPort router.  We will make sure that your 'main' router is an Apple product and confirm on what model of airport number you may have.

  • mirroring AirPlay look for apple tv

Since the iOS 10 update on iPhone and iPad, it seems that I can't find my AirPort Express for streaming music on my stereo.  When I click on AirPlay Mirroring it only looks for AppleTV and never find my Express.  Someone else has a similar problem?  Is there another setting I'm missing?

When I'm in the Spotify application, there is a button for devices and this app can find the Express (on iOS 10), but my SiriusXM app doesn't have this same feature.

    Thank you!

Since the iOS 10 update on iPhone and iPad, it seems that I can't find my AirPort Express for streaming music on my stereo.  When I click on AirPlay Mirroring it only looks for AppleTV and never find my Express.

AirPlay Mirroring and AirPlay streaming are two different things. With iOS 10, AirPlay Mirroring is accessible via the control panel. AirPlay Streaming has been integrated in the music app.

Apple provides a free user guide to help users to familiarize themselves with the features of the new version of the iOS.

  • How to connect the Airport express as an Extender for airport extreme to El Capitan

I have a model extreme A1521 airport and a model express airport A1392 and upgraded my OS to El Capitan. I want to use the express as an Extender for the extreme because my old House is long and has thick walls. My problem is that Airport utility will not 'see' the express, regardless of its proximity to the main router (extreme). I tried to move and reset.

Of course, as soon as I get the utility to see, I need instructions on how to configure the express as a booster for my extreme.

    Any ideas?

Unplug the Express and put it in the same room as the AirPort Extreme.

Put power on the Express for a few minutes, then hold down the reset button on the back of the Express for 7 to 8 seconds and release.

Allow a minute for the Express to restart

Click the WiFI icon at the top of the screen of the Mac

Look for an announcement of the new AirPort base station

Click directly on the AirPort Express Terminal

When you click on AirPort Express, the "Wizard" will open and take a few seconds to analyze things, and then see a screen that looks like the figure below, except that you can see your cameras.

Type a short and simple name that you want to call the Express

    Click next

The installation wizard will take care of everything for you

When you see the message Setup is complete, unplug the Express and move to halfway between the AirPort Extreme and the area of the House that needs more coverage of wireless signal

Turn on the Express and you're all set

Important note... the Express to expand the quality of the signal it receives. About half of the potential speed on the entire nextwork is lost when you extend using a wireless connection between the airports.

It would be much better if you could connect the Express to the extreme by using wired Ethernet wired, permanent, since there is no loss of signal via the Ethernet cable and there is always a lot of loss of signal through the air, the (thick walls especially) walls, ceilings, etc.

  • The AirPort Express Terminal is good enough for me?

I need a new wireless router to replace my Netgear WNDR4300 'antiques '.  The network is only 2-3 laptops and iPhones 1-2 at a time, over a printer and Chromecast device.  We occasionally video stream, but not often.  Critics say the AirPort Express is best purchased as an add-on to an existing network, but I can't justify more expensive options from the airport.  I don't need the 11ac 802 that offer other options, and it seems that margin would be a problem, because it is limited to 5 GHz.  We have a two-storey house. Is the simple terminal AirPort Express good enough for my home network?

The AirPort Express, pourraient deliver similar performance to your old Netgear router in terms of signal strength and the beach... but the only way to know with certainty if the Express will be good enough for your needs is to try in your home.

Try to locate the Express up high on a shelf or Cabinet, if you can, to help in the dissemination of the signal.

Fortunately, if you buy through Apple, you have one day 14, no questions asked return privilege, so if the Express does not provide the performance you need, you can return the unit for Exchange or a refund.

  • My Airport express has had a solid orange light for a week. How can I fix this?

My Airport express has had a fixed Orange light on in for about a week. When I click on it it says "it was part of my network" and to "ensure that it is still in the range and plugged in an outlet."  I tried this - does not change. I unplugged the main base station and then plugged it in. It also did not work.

My operating system is OS X 10.9.5

    Thanks for any help.

Sorry, but you can't 'fix' it. A status LED light amber solid that would indicate a power or another failure of the base station. There is no serviceable parts by the user, that you can replace.

If the product is less than 1 year, Apple will replace the unit for you... or... If you have AppleCare implemented on a registered product, the AirPort base station is covered up to 3 years from the date of purchase.

If you have an Apple Store near you, take the base station for them. Otherwise, contact the Apple directly to http://www.apple.com/support/contact/ Support

  • Airport Express as a bridge for cable internet and wifi

    Hello

My first post and I hope you can help, because I was not able to get a clear answer to my question, but it's perhaps easier to write

I have an airport extreme for wifi, it's in a piece of my house. Airport extreme, I have an ethernet cable to my living room on the other side of my house. The cable is for my TV. The walls are solid, and I have only weak wifi in my living room. Therefore, I would like to connect an airport express (WAN port) to the cable in the living room, offering a better wifi, and I want to enjoy the internet connection cable between the LAN port in my TV

the new airport express 802.11n, do the trick?

    Thank you

    Kris

Yes. You would like to configure the Express to be in a roaming network configuration with your extreme. This would make the Express Ethernet active ports to support your TV.

  • Exchange of wall plug adapter Apple AC - Airport express

    Hello

The list of exchange programs Apple AC power adapter plugs for Iphone/iPad/iPad/mac - with explanation on how to identify the affected cards. It Tuns on that my plug for my AirPort Express Base Station has the same affected care. However, this s/n will accept not under the replacement program.

The program is supposed to work for caps from 2003 to 2015 - the unit is 2011. I don't know why Apple customer security statement does not apply to Airport express base station. Is anyone here able to explain this?

Since I have small children, I decided to unplug the AirPort express base station as I guess that is not safe since it has identical to the affected card registration. Someone in the registry here the same problem with their caps for the AirPort Express Base Station?

    Kohl

Just an update - when I enter the s/n on the AirPort Express base now - he accepts and candle replacement can be ordered. So problem solved - thanks.
