  Once you have started with the Vista DVD / disque disk recovery, select Service Options, and then select command prompt (no admin password needed in this way)

  Now type:

• iMac 2012 - sierra installation failed, caught in the loop, please help

  Hey everybody.

  That's what I have:

  iMac 27 "mid-2011. He had on El Capitan.

  This iMac contains two hard drives and drive superdrive.

  A disc is 256 GB SSD and the other a regular 2 TB internal HARD drive.

  As SSD is faster that I keep my OS X and programs on this SSD drive, all the other stuff like photos, music, documents, are put on the classic 2 TB HDD.

  This is what happened:

  Everything was going well until the installer has discovered that the SSD did not have a sufficient space to install. I quit the installer, the option pop up, I called "Startup Volume" has chosen my SSD and restarted it. Has been 2 attempts, if I'm not wrong, but worked.   We just purchased a Toshiba 24D1333B/24D1333B2 24 inch high definition LED TV with DVD player built-in to our Museum Show videos constantly running on the USB.

  I've owned several Toshiba laptops before and I've even worked for Toshiba so worry, I like the machine. But I have a problem with his recovery software. I just bought a laptop Satellite L500-1DT with Windows 7 64 bit, on behalf of a non-techie who lives elsewhere. Since I know from experience that I have to sometimes panic calls from field in the sense of "it became too slow", "How do I get rid of the accumulated junk", "maybe he had a virus" and so on, the first thing I checked was ASR, which is how to bring the HD to "like new" condition.

  So I started out in the machine, replied to the questions until I got in the appropriate operating system, then led the program "make a recovery DVD. Double layer DVD checked ok. With the freshly made DVDs, I swapped the HD for a spare part, I had (much less: only 40 GB instead of 320) and started the rescue DVD hoping it would fix my own system to the blank disc.

  He did repartition the drive according to its schema, with more or less half the space for Windows and the other half for the data, including the recovery files. He did install the system in the Windows partition. It was then restarted in Windows 7 installed in order to complete the installation. There, the trouble began: an endless loop of reboots for hours until what I stopped it.

  Loop:
  * reset
  * black screen with bright logo 4 color windows «windows startup»
  * black screen with slight blade and "Setup prepares your computer for first use.
  * blue white screen "Welcome" with "please wait" and the crossbar with green blob, saying "the installation may take several minutes. Please do not interrupt or shut down the computer! »
  * blue screen saying it stops

  Repeat the above forever.

  I saw him restart way more than 10 times over several hours. And whenever he's faking, that this is the first time she did it. Of course, this is not normal!

  I tried to stop with ctrl-alt-del and the Task Manager, but the white screen would go even the Task Manager, making it difficult to kill any process or even inspect what they were on top. I stopped it by holding down the power button until it shuts. Then when it restarts it said that if I wanted safe mode. I tried. He went into the routine above and at one point he says that he could not proceed with the installation, if it was in safe mode. So he restarted in normal mode and then...!   Then he asked me all the usual language, record etc., questions as he did the first time I had turned on him. This seemed good. Finally, I walked into a newly installed operating system and everything seemed fine, except that I found out later that some programs that were there before were not installed.
  With bravery bordering stupidity (*) I even Redid the procedure hard disk provided instead of my rescue: first I have nuked the windows partition, then I save the HD (with F8), not with the DVD that I had done. Result: similar rigmarole, with endless reboot.

  After that I stopped it, it kind-of-worked, as above, but now some programs were lacking, such as the Toshiba DVD drive.

  (*) motivated by: better try now with the computer here and all my tools and other computers ready at hand, that when the computer died at home of its owner, and that's the only thing left to try with me at the other end of a line call. Been there before.

  Now, that specific (DVD player), that I could download it from the support page and it installed fine. But what else might be missing or not working not that I have not noticed? The restore process is clearly not working as it should.

  I'm the first or only to whom it happens? I'm doing something wrong? Is there anything else I should try?

  I need to make sure that the restore procedure works perfectly while I still have the computer in my hands. If not, there is no chance that I'll be able to do a remote reinstall for my non-techie, once I asks me to clean the laptop by phone a few months from now.

  The installation of Win 7 went well and everything has been installed correctly.

  Back to you:
  To me it looks like something wrong with installation maybe some HARD drive partitions were confues perhaps, HARD drive should again formatted, and then run the recovery procedure.
  You should test

  Regarding the DVD player:
  As much as I know there is no DVD player for Win 7 64 bit. There are only available for Win 64 bit updated. If you need to install the DVD player for Win 7 32 bit version and then update using the patch released for Win7 64 bit.

• pass-through of a Subvi to the next level with continuously running loops

  It is a very simple question, for some reason, data available as a Subvi indicator doesn't it up level vi. I think it might be something to do with the while loop I use, but I cannot understand, any help will be appreciated. I don't think I quite understand how data comes out of a loop constantly running.

  GPSdisplay runs a driver called GPS.vi (im not worried for my event structure immediately, which could be bad, but I am yet to test this bit yet) 1 probe should have the values of GPSCluster

  I think that you are on the right track with a FGV. You can do quite easily with GPS vi you have.

  Before going further, your GPS while loop will return only the last reading and because the Boolean value of "Read" output state is set to FALSE, it will not stop. You see it out at all? The logic, I read, once entering this while loop, that he will not stop until said.

  There are 3 options you can try.

  (1) use a FGV, because you are looking in. To do this, you need to change the boolean TRUE State and set records in the GPSCluster - to analyze the information around, holding each time the vi is called and you leave. Outside the while loop you will thread to the top of the cluster to the indicator that you want to collect (OR you can have it inside the case statement where you read - be careful here, if).

  (2) in the main code, above the frame of the sequence, you can place the GPS vi while loop (the ' read' a), given the State of the boolean connected to a local variable of the Stop button. This while loop will start depending on how feels LV, wire, one line error for the two while loop and Frame (indicating that the two are to run in a parallel mode), OR you can put it in a case statement and say 'go' when you want to start playback. In this while loop, you can then copy the data to read directly in your variable Cluster that it is generated.

  But with (2), you move yourself away from the purpose of the GPS vi, which would be to bring all the features of the GPS functionality in a vi - which is a good idea.

  (3) put a condition on the State of the Boolean case "Read" statement - just make it TRUE when you want to stop reading the data (do you have a time or a condition, you can check here?). Even by doing this, you would / may still need to shift on your lease registers loop to keep the data for each iteration.

  I have a wired problem when I try to use two loops with two event structures (see VI below).

  The problem is that you can stop the measurement and close the VI with X but not to stop it only with STOP button: this would lock the façade.

  Here my (rather long and perhaps not quite understandable) description of VI:

  A structure must respond on the user interface and the other a certain action. The first uses only user events: change value button START, PANEL NARROW? and the value enum STATE changes. The second event structure uses those registered dynamically: start the event user & user close event. Action when the STATE changes from button should always be done. When you press start the startup user event disables the START button and activates a loop in the second structure that should make continuous measurement. Now, we can always change the STATUS button and information (this works). The measurement loop should stop if the STOP button is true. Later START is enabled again and we should be able to press START again. It does not work as the front panel is locked. Curiously the last implemented user action works very well: by pressing X of VI, the PANEL CLOSE? is called in the first loop and should stop the two loops: If the measurement loop is running, STOP is True first, stop the loop measurement. Then a secondary structure event waits until the JUDGMENT is again set to False. If the measure is not in the process of running the first loop stops. In both cases, the event close user is sent to the second loop, successfully stop.

  I'm really confused, because I have no idea what is wrong. I would greatly appreciate any help on this.
