Losing space on my drive hard c:

I have Win 7 with hd and mem 4gig 500gig. I am constantly losing space on my disk hard c:, I 67gig of 500. Only the music and programs loading.   C: drive is?  100gig at most.

My hard drive is 67 gig and still fall HELP!.

The missing space could be linked to the restoration of the system.

Free space - increase the hard disk space

The following procedure cleans the files associated with your user account. You can also use Disk Cleanup to clean all the files on your computer.

1. click the button start, in the search box, type disk cleanup, then click Disk Cleanup.
2. in the drives list, click the drive you want to clean, and then click OK.
3. on the Disk Cleanup tab, select the types of files to delete.
Note: To delete all Points except the most recent system restore - click on "Clean up System Files" and you will get another tab called more than Options. Now click More Options, and then click 'Clean up' under ' System Restore and shadow copies "and then confirm the deletion.
4. click OK at the bottom of the window cleaning disc and in the message that appears, click on delete files.

Reduce the amount of space allocated to system restore if it takes too much space.

1. start--> panel--> system and safety--> system
2. then click on the "System Protection" link located at the top left.
3. in "system properties? window, click the tab "System Protection".
4 locate the 'Settings of Protection' box and select / click on the drive letter (usually c :))
5. now, click the "Configure" button to change the settings to restore "disk space".
6. move the cursor to reduce the amount of space system Protection can use (min. 2 GB).
7. click "Apply" and then the "OK" button after setting the disk space.

  • How to extend my drive C use unallocated space on my drive hard if the option "extend volume" is grayed out?

I'm trying to erase my drives and have a clean reinstall of Windows 7. Endless hedges have attempted to quit of me, whose latest is my drive C is not able to use the unallocated space that was once my D drive (now deleted).

I am interested in disk management and you can see my drive C, BDEDrive (I don't know what it is and can't get a straight answer on it as of yet), unallocated and free space (I do not understand the difference between space and unallocated space) in that order.

I want a big C 1 TB drive, but can't seem to extend the C drive currently because it is grayed out.

    SOLVED!

    [for reference]
It's also easy to move the startup information in the BDEDrive and giving the computer reboot, and then delete the BDEDrive. After that, the free space can be deleted (it becomes unallocated) and all unallocated space can be swallowed up by the C drive now that the option "Extend Volume" became available.

    Hello

I got my Macbook Pro in 2014 and the agreement of Apple, I got a 1 TB of HDD to go with it. If I delete the files on the drive HARD internal of my Mac can I reclaim this space. If I delete the files on the external HARD disk nothing happens, the files are destroyed, but the remaining space remains unchanged. The same thing happens with my memory stick. I put these two devices wrongly? How to free up space without formatting them and start again?

    Thank you very much.

Plug the external hard drive on the computer, and then empty the trash.

Then check if the space is free to the top.

There is no practical way to do it.

If you do not enable iCloud Drive on your Mac, you can upload files to iCloud by car via the web interface at https://www.icloud.com

But you can access the files from the web interface and won't icloud drive as drive in the Finder.  You cannot use the Finder to access the files. You need to download it to use.

But you do not what you should have done when you bought your Acer machine; know-how in case of hard drive failure recovery disks.

Here is how to do this with an Acer:

"How can I create a set of the backup recovery disks?

    http://Acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/12866/kW/recovery%20disk

Your Acer computer includes Acer eRecovery Management software that allows you to perform operations of restore directly from your drive hard disc , which allows a faster recovery process and no need for discs. Acer eRecovery Management does, however, allow you to create recovery discs. The recovery disks will allow you to restore your computer something happened to your hard hard disk .

Note: According to Acer computer you have your Acer eRecovery Management version may be slightly different, but the ability to create your discs will be available.

To create your recovery discs backup follow these steps:

    Hi amireos,

Yes, you can create your workflow where you can keep all your images on the external hard drive and the Lightroom catalog file as well.

If you start with Lightroom and then use the Destination location as external hard drive when you import your image of the external source such as a camera or SD.

If you already have your Images on the Mac HD drive, then play all your Image on the external hard drive first and then import images directly from there.

Finally, you can change the location of the Lightroom Catalog as well.

Default location: folder on the Mac Drive HD, there is folder called Lightroom that you can move on the external drive too (however catalog Lightroom can't memory space as its only import previews of the images is not the real image and full)

Once you move the file catalog Lightroom external hard disk, then you need to browse the catalog file when you launch Lightroom only once.

See thread: LR catalog moving on external hard drive

Let us know if it helps.

  • Can I use the drive HARD internal extra for my Satellite A200-1 to 9?

    Hello, new to these forums,

I recently bought the A200-1 to 9, and I'm very happy with it. I was interested by the addition of an extra internal HDD to the exisitng 120 GB one. I obviously did not have enough research I bought a Toshiba MK2035GSS: 2.5 "HARD 200 GB drive thinking it would be slot directly into the spare slot and it doesn't.

So, really, I'm looking for some advice if I can add an extra internal hard drive and if so what model and how. After taking the back cover it looks like the aura of the place for another drive, even though I'm not sure if correct connections are there, or maybe if the space is used for something else.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thank you
    Martin

    Hello Martin

As far as I know that some A200 models come with hard drives 2. because of this Toshiba laptop brand standard chassis. All A200 models use this standard chassis. Your A200 comes with a single drive HARD and because of this place for the second disc is empty. This does not mean that you can use the second HARD drive.

I have the same laptop as you and in my case there is no any prepared for second HARD drive HARD drive connector.

  • Adding a second 3.5 inch SATA drive HARD internal product HP Pavilion model 500-A47A #: H5P71AA #ABA

I bought a Pavillion HL # 500 - A47A, product model #: Office H5P71AA #ABA about a week ago.  It came with a HARD SATA 3.5 inch disk drive 1 TB and a 5.25 DVD burner inches.  I want to add a second HARD internal 3.5-inch disk, but there is no mounting bracket in the case.  When I called to request a mounting bracket, I got responses ranging from "we can send a technician to do it" to "it cannot be done" so that the case can be customized.

There is plenty of space behind the drive and in fact, there is a cable hanging there to add a second drive.

I'd appreciate any help with where to find a 3.5 HARD drive mounting bracket.  I have a HDD from my old PC

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion 500-computer 047c of office. According to the specification, this model has only a single drive 3.5 "bay and one 5.25" drive Bay. Without using the optical drive Bay, you must use the double-sided tape or drill holes into the housing to mount media training or a cage in the computer.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Hello

D: is not a partition backup of your machine.

Acer has a time set up their machines to the way yours is:

They had a C: drive for the operating system, a drive D: for data (music, movies, etc you would like to register and a recovery partition 'hidden' to reinstall the operating system and to make the recovery discs to do the same thing.)

You can merge C: and D: as a whole, BUT save all data on D: first because it will be deleted when you merge.

Download a program like TreeSize Free (http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/) to see where the files take up a lot of space.  Be aware that deleting files without knowing what you're doing can cause your system to be unable to restart or cause instability can so be sure you know that you are deleting before you start.  There is no way to extend one hard disk other than to replace it, in which case you need to copy all the files from your old drive to the new.

This means that the disk is almost full.  Unless you free up space soon, your operating system will start to behave strangely and eventually boot is no longer in Windows.

Windows operating system uses a part of the capacity of the hard drive for virtual memory. A good rule is to never come to 15 to 20 percent of the capacity of the hard disk.
