Loss of connection without wire-intermittent

I have a desktop computer and a laptop computer, the desktop computer is directly connected to a TP Link WR641G, Ihave, Virgin Media cable modem.

It will work quite happy with excellent connection, sometimes for weeks, the entirely to chance, he loses his connection. Sometimes it is intermittent and is healed by a re-boot. Sometimes it is persistent and nothing seems to be a reliable cure. Sometimes the system restore it will heal, I resorted to re - install Windows 7, 3 times, not always with success. I spent about 5 hours today trying to fix this problem without success, currently connectted through ethernet connection.

Finally got error message windows diagnosis it is impossible to connect to a hidden network, but NETWORK IS NOT HIDDEN.

I copy last dignostic detail.

Advice or suggestions will be gratfully received.

My problem is solved. After that all these years of strange problems with W7 disconnection when I used my XP system, I finally replaced the old router Linksys BEFW11S4 with a Netgear 300 - n. all problems went away and I drop no more. Regarding security, I can now use WPA2. Thus, W & and the 1397 were obvious doing jobs, while the Linksys router could not survive in the modern world.

    Hi Krisw6164,

    ·         You receive an error trying to connect?

    Try the following steps.

    Step 1

Remove all wireless networks, and then restart your computer.

    1. click Start and select Control Panel.

2 open network and sharing Center.

3 click on manage wireless networks.

    4. Remove the wireless network that you do not have or that you do not use.

5 restart the computer and try to reconnect to your wireless network.

    Step 2

    1. open network connections by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click network and Internet, clicking network and sharing Center, and then click connect to a network .

    2. click on 'show all' and press the Refresh button. If you find any active network connections, select the one you want, click on 'Connect' and don't forget to check the option that says 'start this connection automatically '. If you check this option, Windows Vista will automatically connect to the network selected whenever you log.

  • Slow connection without wire-Intel 3945ABG card on Inspiron E1405

I've never noticed this problem before because I never had a more than 5 Mbps connection. But a few weeks I had a 15Mbps internet connection cable and am using a Linksys WRT54GS router with him. My laptop (Inspiron E1405) never seems to get 5Mbps > 4 - the wireless. I've finally isolated the problem on my laptop, after test with a friend too, where it was stuck at 4-5 Mbps too. When I directly connect the modem (ethernet), I get the expected 17-19 MB/s, so my ISP is not at fault.

I've been watching online solutions, and here is what I tried so far, but without positive result:

1 tried to use different channels on the router (1-11).

    2. I tried a Linksys tech support - they suggested a few settings more to the router... no permit.

    3. update my Intel wireless drivers... has the last being now... but no effect.

    4. have you tried using Intel PROSet/Wireless manage my connection and Windows too, both give me the same slow speeds.

    5. uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for my wireless card several times.

I have another laptop with Vista, and who gets at least 15-17 Mbps on the wireless. I am now at a loss and plan to test external wireless card, so I can at least isolate the problem of my wireless card.

I am currently using XP Professional Service Pack 3.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you!

  • Problems of connectivity without wire - HP ENVY 14

I have a HP Envy 14 2020nr that will not connect wirelessly to the internet.

It recognizes all networks within range, but does not connect (it gives me a "Restricted access" message and I can't use the internet). I can only use internet if I'm directly connected via an ethernet cable.

All other devices in my home (computers laptops, phones, tablets) are not having problems to connect to this router. The troubleshooter in Windows is unable to solve the problem.

I tried reinstalling the drivers, update BIOS and restore to the latest wireless drivers them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • How to make a connection without WIRE of Windows PC based on the 670 printer iPF

Is it possible to connect to a Windows-based PF (Windows 7 or Windows 10) to the iPF PROGRAF 670 printer (by using a router or other means if necessary)?

    Hi BryanGraham,

Use the ethernet on your imagePROGRAF iPF670 port, you can connect your router to your printer with an ethernet cable and then any computer that accesses your router (wired or wireless) can then use your iPF670 imagePROGRAF on the network connection.

  • All in one C310 wrong with connection without wire/printer offline

When I try to print from computer the printer status is offline.  I have a Norton 360 antivirus and don't know if it's my problem to allow me to print. The printer itself is set to my router.  I was able to print from HP ePrint.   Why can't I print from

    Web site?

    Can you please help?

I recommend without reservation the IP address of your router and to do this:

Let's define an external static IP and DNS address for the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

Hoping you can help me with my problem with the wifi connection.

    OS: Windows 7
Wireless adapter: Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN adapter
    Laptop: Toshiba Satellite Pro L450
    Wireless router/modem: Cisco

When I turn on the laptop the wifi connection can work for 10-30 minutes, but then the down network access but remains connected with limited access.
Then restart the connection will have access limited the offset.
In addition, sometimes the available wireless connections do not show in the networks available on the windows toolbar.
When you use the Ethernet cable connected to my router there is no problem.

I have searched the forums for help on this and have already tried without success, the following

Updated driver: issue date may 2010
Verify that TCP/IP has been installed to automatically obtain the IP and DNS
    Disabled firewall
    Reset the modem

  • Pavilion g6-2215sia: CARD without WIRE NOT DETECTED AFTER UPDATE BIOS

Recently I have updated my BIOS on my laptop HP Pavilion g6-2215sia think he'll adjust the hardware acceleration feature missing in my system (there is no option in my BIOS to enable virtualization technology). My BIOS version was F.12 and I've updated to F.24, but after update BIOS all my wireless functionality no longer works (including my wifi and bluetooth), and still there is no option to enable virtualization technology in my BIOS settings. On my Windows 8.1 x 64 Pro wifi and bluetooth options are grayed out so I can't turn them on or off. I tried to reinstall my bluetooth driver, but the software says that it doesn't detect any bluetooth hardware. Even when I restart and boot in all my Linux distributions installed on my system (Ubuntu, Quina and Kali Linux) and my x 86 Android, they still do not detect my wireless capability (says Ubuntu, "wifi is disabled by hardware switch").

To confirm that this was not a software problem, I has conducted an audit of start-up and tested for my wireless module and got this result, "without WIRE MODULE CHECK: NOT INSTALLED". The only way I can get my Windows operating system to recognize my wireless (wifi and bluetooth) is now by doing a hard reset, when I unplug my laptop from the power supply, remove the battery and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. When I turn on my system, then I can turn my wifi/bluetooth on my Windows. But if I restart my system the problem comes back and I can't turn on my wireless. So basically, I have to avoid questioning my system off and only Hibernate, so that whenever I turn on my laptop I can use the wireless. If I restart my system so I have to repeat the hard reset in order to use my wifi/bluetooth, which can be very annoying.

The problem is that I often use my other Linux disributions and I have to restart before starting in them so that my readers will be mounted read/write, and when I do my Linux can not detect my wireless and it's a serious pain for me because I need to use my wireless often for internet connection.

Please I really need help on how to fix this and get my wireless working normally without having to do a hard reset every time. I tried to restore my BIOS F.12 unfounded but I don't have the image file (I extensively searched the Internet to find, but does not). I've even updated again to F.26 but I still have the same problem (my current version of BIOS is F.26).

If you see no updates the BIOS in your list of drivers - where do you have the updates to the BIOS, you used?

Try here - if you do not see the list of the BIOS, use the "Edit" button to change Windows 8.1 to Windows 8:

    Hello

    I think I know what might be useful for your problems of WLan boring;

    -Update the BIOS
    -WLan driver update.

Yes, these two parts of the software must be updated to make sure that the WLan would work properly.

One of my friends had the similar problem of WLan; He solved update driver WLan.

After the update of the Wlan signal driver WiFi was much stronger as with the previous version of the Wlan driver.
BIOS update help stop WLan sudden disconnects.

    See you soon
