  I'm all new to Illustrator. I created a logo and converted to an eps file. My problem is that when I use the logo, it is a big place with a lot of empty space on the bottom.   Looks like there is a hidden somewhere element forcing the whole document whenever this element is, even outside of the artboard.  Just a hunch.  Make a command Y (Mac) or control (PC) is to see the contours.  Then do a "select all" and see if the item appears anywhere.  Find it and delete it.  Now, maybe there is no hidden item.  That's what I do for each logo I prep would be: a.) if the work is h 2 "x 3" w (hypothetically speaking), set the size of your 3 x 5 work plan.  Define a holding imaginary line to the size 3 x 5 using a rectangle of 3 x 5 with no line and no fill > then lock it (object > lock selection).  You can benefit by exporting the work as a .tiff RGB and using them in Word.  However, you can import or insert a .eps in Word, but what works best.  I hope this helps.

  I have a document with an InDesign file linked, an area of text that is used in many documents, so interested in this issue.

  I did a quick test and it seems to work as it should. I made a smaller file with an image linked and bound the Indesign file in a larger document, and since it is a linked InDesign file it recognizes and displays the image in the links Panel.

  The problem disappeared. I think it was a bug is triggered by setting the selected items after I had updated the dataProvider and refreshing the tree.

  I had another question where the selectedItems disappeared after update of the tree. I fixed it by setting using callLater() selectedItems, because put immediately after the update the dataProvider of the tree did not work as long as the selection was lost anyway. callLater to do this fixed the issue of the selection and now apparently also the issue with a section of the tree being overshadowed.

  Deskjet 6980 driver is compatible with the Officejet 8500 and provides a checkbox 'Mirror Image '.  You can do the following: click on start, devices and printers, click with the right button on the Officejet 8500 and select properties from the Printer Ports.  Note the port settings.   Now, the devices and printers folder click on add a printer, a local printer, select the same port as the 8500 noted previously.  Now, click on Windows Update in the lower right.  It will take several minutes for the update to finish unless there is an error *.  Once the full update Select manufacturer HP (Hewlett-Packard no) and the Deskjet 6980.  Once the printer has been installed, you can click with the right button on the Deskjet 6980, properties of the printer, and then rename the "HP Deskjet 6980 series" to something else, maybe "Officejet 8500 Mirror Image", OK.  Right-click on 'Officejet 8500 Mirror Image' printer and select Printing Options, finish, check the 'Mirror Image' checkbox, apply and in the print task Quick Sets type a new name as mirror and then save.
