lost broadband on my HP Pavilion 15

Hello, my HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) works very well until yesterday when I lost my broadband connection. It is said there is a problem with my network card or modem, but it works on a wi - fi connection (connected via my modem) and my other laptops and tablets are very good.

I disconnected and updated my drivers, but still no joy.

My apologies but I'm not very techie.

Hello, I used just Manager recovery to reinstall my drivers again and this time it worked.

I got my broadband connection.

Thank you.

  • How can I check the speed broadband on my HP Pavilion DV7 series laptop?

I am a Novice. My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv7 with Windows 7 64 bit, I received for Christmas 2011. His speed was great until I received a phone call from my DSL provider (a week ago) proposing to improve my speed from 3Mbps to 6 Mbps for an additional monthly cost of $5. I refused because he ran very fast and I was completely satisfied. Since then, it has been very slow and does not load new pages quickly. If I click several times, I get a circle with a line through it, that had never happened before the phone call. Another friend in the region had the same problem after having received the same offer.  Thank you!

    Hello

This will tell you some information:

    Kind regards.

  • Pavilion dv7t-4000 laptop: AMD HDMI port on the computer laptop dv7 is lost after free trial Win10 returns to Win7 Home Premium edition

My laptop was purchased in sept 2010 and runs Win7 Home Premium Edition (64-bit).

It worked perfectly until June 2016, when the trial version free odious Win10 forced itself on my laptop.  I had no choice, I used Win10 for a day or 2 and then discovered that:

    (1) I lost the audio capability, HDMI port, I use to connect to my TV, and

    (2) the Win10 trial enabled me to return on Win7, I did without delay.

In my Win 7 restored, everything was fine, except when I have her go in Control Panel to configure / reconfigure HDMI as the default, I couldn't - the element used to appear as "AMD HDMI Audio" is no longer displayed.  I remember a message during the free trial period Win10 that says it has disabled any material incompatible.  Without a doubt, Win10 free trial 'killed' this HDMI/device port, at least audio-wise.

Today, I always run the same Win7, but I can't have audio HDMI on this port.  When I connect to my TV, the video works.  Win7 Device Manager it shows with an exclamation in yellow, and when I right click to get more details, there is a message saying Microsoft:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52).

Is there a way to 'get it '?  'this' is AMD HDMI audio.  (and wthout spoil the graphics - that is, video)

I tried to install the drivers provided by AMD [graphics] and that did not work. The Internet from AMD website says that the audio drivers are included in the package for graphics drivers.  There is also a huge confusion in the way these low level items are named/described: ATI and AMD, because they have merged, were used somewhat interchangeably.  I also tried the graphics drivers AMD HP Support Web site specific to my laptop and it has only gotten worse.

Thank you for your kind attention.

    Hi @ RTX,

Awesome response. I read the details and depth of your post. I understand that the bios is updated. So you could end up with this update.

Happens to the other updates. This will be the order.

    1. Uninstalling the driver Chipset and resettlement.

2 reinstalling and uninstalling graphics drivers

    3. uninstall the sound drivers and reinstall.

Before uninstalling, you can try to update the drivers supplied by device also Manager and if that market that will be great. Please, do it only if you don't have already done.

Before uninstalling please make sure that you capture an image of the complete Device Manager window. Take some pictures of your cell phone. Please note the exact device for audio and video chipset drivers. Then, you will need to uninstall it from the Device Manager and install from the support site in the above order so that there is no confusion.

If nothing works as a last resort, you may need to restore complete system to factory settings. Please backup your files before doing so. This is possible since the recovery of your computer's hard drive partition.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I see that you have some problems starting your Pavilion. Do not wait until you see the message "Press ESC", press F8, press above all on several times to see if you can get to the BIOS before the error message. What other options you get when you go into the advanced settings?

  • HP Pavilion dv6-6070ee: lost all preinstalled on my laptop Pavilion DV6-6070ee help please

    Hello

I own a HP Pavilion dv6 - 6070ee notebook pc, serial number: product number [personal information deleted],: LL059EA #ABV.

Long story short, I had problems with the hard drive came with my laptop, so I had to switch to an SSD, but, unfortunately, I could not clone the hard drive to my new SSD because the hard drive was really damaged, so I had to install a new genuine copy of windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, which was originally on the laptop when I bought it.

The problem is, I've lost all the software initially provided with the original hard drive and now I don't even have a recovery partition. In addition, the sound does not work, the camera does not work the microphone and the reader of fingerprints and many other things. Please help im really really desperate, if only I can download a recovery partition so my phone would go back to normal thank you very much.

PS: beats audio also comes with the laptop.

    Thank you

Sorry, but it becomes increasingly difficult to find the recovery media for older PCs, because the places are running out of stock.

All you can really do at this point is go to this page and download and install the HP drivers for devices that do not work correctly: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-dv6-6000-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/5048664/model/5062485

  • Pavilion 17F1023CL: lost my ethernet cable connection.

Have 2 pavilions and lost the ethernet connection, with cable, on one of them, yet have the wifi capability. When you attach the ethernet cable, the port light does not illuminate.

Currently using my second Pavilion, with the cable is connected, and the light on the port is light.

The problem would be with the connection/WiFi wireless card? This card Realtek manages cables and wireless?

Prefer to do my own repairs when possible, as labor costs are far too high for my budget.

    Hey @dwflo,

    Please use the forums.

Sounds to me like the port has been disconnected somehow, as it should be a combo wireless connection/WiFi card as you requested.  You can check to make sure that the port is still connected properly, however it is likely that it will need to be replaced.

    See you soon,.

  • I lost HP pre-installed for HP Pavilion dv6-1245dx laptop software

My laptop won't suddenly continue getting started, the screen would go black, so I had to control by a computer technician. He made a check disk on my laptop and updated updated my OS from VISTA to Windows 7. And since he only did a custom install of the operating system has said, the previous contents of my C drive was transferred automatically to a folder called "windows.old". My laptop is now very well and is available at the start but the PROBLEM IS THE ALL THE HP SOFTWARE that WERE PREINSTALLE BY the ENTERPRISE have BEEN LOST. Among software/applications that have been lost are the HP Total Care Advisor, HP Webcam, Bluetooth, HP MediaSmart etc. and I failed also create a before recovery disk so I don't know how to get back them. Please help me where or how I can restore/get/download these software/applications.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance to those who will help you. ^_^

Here are the specifications of your laptop of HP Pavilion dv6-1245dx and a link to the Software page and drivers of HP dv6-1245dx. You can find many, if not all, the factory included software and drivers for Windows 7 on this page.

According to what has been formatted during the installation of Windows 7, you may be able to locate and use the HP Recovery partition to create the recovery disks, if she is still intact. On the possibility that the recovery partition has been erased the HP Recovery Kit is "Vista Premium SP1 64 b + Supp 1 Recovery Kit". This can be ordered via the software and the driver for Windows Vista 64-bit page, but it seems to be down at the moment. Contact the customer service HP for another way to order the discs.

The tech fair "redevelopment" during the installation of your plant operating system seems a bit dodgy to me. Please make sure the tech you supplied with the disc of Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 7 COA and corresponding product key.

  • Power HP Pavilion 22xi lost - Equavelant?

Hello.  Recently, I lost the external power supply in my HP Pavilion 22xi.  HP doesn't ' seem to sell replacements.  I wonder, however, if a laptop computer power supply is just basically the same thing and would work just as well?

Here's the dilemma, before I'll plug a.  On the monitor, it is said that it is 12 volts, but when I look around the internet I see that the replacement for the 22xi power supplies are listed as 19v.  HP power supplies come in 12v and 19v.  Which one to get?

E - bay has a lot of generic Chinese supplies to remove dirt cheap but I have yet to see a real HP for the 22xi (new or used) one listed on e - bay.

I would like to know exactly what to get, because as you know the supplies are quite expensive and I don't want to blow up my beautiful IPS monitor.

So, if I get an equavelant what should be the voltage?  What should the power be noted at?  How many amps or my it should produce.  I'm guessing that 12v 45 w 3.5 to 4.5 amps.

    Hello again.

I did a little research and it turns out that feeding that HP has listed for the 22xi Pavilion "700393 - 001 a/c adapter 40 Watt/19V - Liteon" is false.  It is only for larger screens 24 "the same type of model.  I don't know if it would harm the screen to plug what he can have voltage regulators to prevent this damage, but the 22xi only works on 12 volts and it would be wise to stick to a correct power supply as shown on the screen itself.

I have in fact not found on e - bay for £6.45 shipped.   The one I found was of 5 Amps / 60 watts but all 3 or 4 amps / 12 volt 40 watt supply should do the trick.

You don't have to worry about getting a power supply which generates the more amps the device says it's need as the device will only enough current to run the device.  So invest in a 5 or 6 amp power supply when you only need 3 usually means that the power will be less stressed and can run more fees.  If in doubt, always match the exact voltage and you will be safe.  If supply does not have enough amps to power the device, it simply will not work.  So invest in a power supply with a lot of amps can actually be useful in the future for something else.

The size of Bédard of the connector should be 5.5 mm x 2.5 mm with center pin positive (most are positive centre).

I hope this helps someone get their operational back monitor!

Here is the HP Recovery Options, also include pressing F11 at startup to start this process.

If you still have problems with the HP recovery process, you will need to contact the HP support (it's their recovery process).

You may need to ask them to send you recovery disks.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

Installed Samsung laptop computer to my service (DSL) wired according to the instructions it uses Intel.  My two Dell computers use modems to broadband in the CP.  They went to Intel and lost my broadband.  Went through the ISP (At & t) and IP (aol).  They said it wasn't their problem.  Talking with Microsoft and Dell to fix this.  No router, using a single connection to my DSL modem and swap Ernet cable that CP would use.  Remove the portable system will heal it because I am convinced that this has started my problem.  Suggestions for solving this predicumet would be appreciated.

    @Leady05 ,

Hello and welcome to the HP support forums.  Sorry to hear about hard drive failure.  Now for the bad news.  There is no driver support for windows 8.1 for your laptop.

The laptop was produced with Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit edition not windows 8 or 8.1, so it's drivers did not support to your system unless you reload Windows 7.

HP Pavilion dv6-3079tx Entertainment Notebook PC Drivers

This link provides all the drivers for your system.  If you reload windows 7 you will have no problems.
