  • Lost Live Mail account

My wife uses Windows Vista and Live Mail.  Under the direction of a sky Help Desk - trying to get his work having been locked - email said to delete his account underTools/accounts.  She duly did.  Of course, on the creation of a reconfigured e-mail account, she had lost a lot of important emails.

Question: Is there a way to the possibility of using this account, or even just the emails?  They will be backed up to a place or be recoverable in some way?

    Thank you very much.

  • Lost just send/receive on my live mail account.

    Original title: Microsoft Live E-mail

Me, too, just lost send/receive on my Live Mail account.  I get a request a password, but I don't remember ever having one for that account, though I am not sure that I must have had a.  Now, I want to create a new password.  No idea how I'm going about it, as the message I get does not provide for it?    I'd appreciate any input on these two problems.

In the login page, click "I can't access my account."  The next page will allow you to choose to reset your password, and it will help you along. Basically, it will need to prove who you are, by calling your phone number on record (when it exists) or to send you to a different address on file, so that they can prove it is you. Then they'll let set a new password.

Here is the page: I can not access my account

  • E-mail account of decoupling of lost phone blackBerry Smartphones

Hi everyone, I need your help. I recently lost my blackberry and I had connected my hotmail account to the phone. Is there a way I can disassociate it now? I myself have retired to the fact that theres nothing I can do on the card memory and messages, etc., but is it possible to link the hotmail account so that he who has the phone has no access to my e-mail account? Please help because it can become a serious security problem for me. The only thing I could think is changing the password for the hotmail account so the phone would not allow the verification of authentication. I don't know if it would work. Worst case I have to disable my hotmail account and I really want to do. All advice would be a great help.

    Very much appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Change your Hotmail password will work... DO IT NOW! Then worry about the rest.

You can connect to your Web of BIS carrier site and remove the e-mail account configuration. Or you can call your operator and ask them to do-, you must call them anyway to report the loss.

On your next BB, consider using a device lock password... that would protect your data against the one who picks up your BB where you lost.

    Good luck!

How can I fix this without having to re - enter all passwords?

As a result of the foregoing, I found that my connection Keyring contains entries for all of my email accounts.  However, these dates are back in July 2011.

After an episode of lost or stolen iphone, I had to update all of my passwords by e-mail in February this year (2016).

Search in my keychain, I found dated entries for my email accounts in iCloud Keychain section.  I don't think that I never activated iCloud for my email.

How the entires of e-mail account eventually sub iCloud and why the old entries from email account not updated?

  • Blocked e-mail account E

I tried several times now find my email account, I put all the information as I can, but still continue to be denied, someone has an idea? I lose every day important information, multiple addresses of electronic mail that are important to me are in my account and I have no way to get them, all relevant information concerning these details are blocked.

What e-mail account - with whom?  You never mentioned that.  You have posted in the Windows Vista Security, privacy and user of forum accounts and if I had not seen dozens of messages exactly like this (with no mention of what they had actually lost - just inference) I * could * (not likely) not having a clue as to what you're talking about.

Given the similarities, I said - I suppose (although it is still and supported who could go back to being incorrect) you mean a MSN / hotmail / Windows Live account (which has nothing to do with Windows Vista or the security, privacy and user that is referenced in the forum accounts).

    Hotmail hacked? Take these steps
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/securitytipstalk/archive/2010/07/07/Hotmail-hacked-take-these-steps.aspx

    Good luck.

Chances are that the free account which had no real connection with you (which could not easily be changed by someone who has hacked the password which could have 7 characters or less and probably had not changed over the years) and probably should never had been used for something drastically important and certainly not without a good plan of backup/backup of the data, etc...  went to you.  You can get it, but if it has been hacked and used for spam and then blocked for this, there is the possibility that all this about has been changed (for example, the answers that you were stating that it was you, addresses of e-mail, he sent in case a password reset is necessary etc.) and history could have been wiped out by the hacker even.

Point being - if you want an e-mail address to use for something critical/important - a free email address is probably not the best choice for the future.  Whatever the choice of the e-mail address, however, a backup of the e-mail and addresses/contacts, etc somewhere, you always get is a good idea but also change the password periodically and using something - IMHO - 15 characters or more with a combination of capital letters & letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.  :-)

  • Windows mail and runs under Vista, recently started asking passwords for e-mail accounts, I had defined for the years

I have several e-mail accounts defined in Windows Mail (WM). In 2008, I created these accounts and WM has never had any problems email from their recovery. A few days earlier, a "Windows Security" pop-up appeared asking me to "Please verify that the user name and the password are correct for your mail server." I enter the user name and password and let the box 'Remember my references' checked. WM then recovers successfully by e-mail of this provider. I repeat this process to enter email ID and their password for each e-mail and WM account gets successfully mail from them all. Subsequent recoveries automatic email (that occur every 20 minutes as specified via 'Tools', 'Options' and ' check for new messages every xx minute (s) ' in the 'Général' tab) run without problem until I restart WM. So I must return all identifiers and passwords.
I deleted the entry for one of the accounts, WM restarted and then recreated the account. Once more, it works fine until I restart WM, date on which the impulse begins again. It seems that WM has lost the ability to remember the ID and password between sessions.
Comments for similar problems indicate that McAfee antivirus can be the cause of the problem. I use BitDefender Antivirus. I don't see how my AV product could be the problem because once I re - enter usernames and passwords, everything works fine.

Thank you Gary, but I don't know why BitDefender or any other product of anti-virus (AV) would be a problem. As I said, once I entered the login details and passwords, I am able to send and receive mail several times without the prompt that appears until I restart Windows Mail (WM). I speculate here but I feel that the AV product would have not had invoked until there was the mail for her to analyze. This would not happen until AFTER WM was authenticated by the mail server, and then began to receive mail. The authentication command prompt was certainly appear BEFORE WM tried to contact different mail servers. I know this because I could see send/receive the WM status window, where it shows each email account and compares it to the coast after a successful login.

In any case, when I started this morning at WM, it worked well! The only thing I can think of that would have fixed this problem as if by magic is that I applied the following Vista hotfixes yesterday:

    • Windows malicious software removal tool - January 2011 (KB890830)
    • Update security for Windows Vista (KB2419640)
    • Update security for Windows Vista (KB2478935)
    • Update definition for Windows Defender - KB915597 (definition 1.95.3662.0)
Then I did the required reboot. I'm skeptical that these corrections have a direct effect on this problem because when I started at WM after the restart, he asked once more the ID and passwords. I did nothing with the AV product
The key here is that WM works very well this morning in the same environment as yesterday, except for the above mentioned fixes. I consider this problem in the past, but I do NOT know what caused his in the first place or what fixed it.
Thank you all for your help!
  • How can I restore lost e-mails? __

new modem installed yesterday. Had a connection problem. After that it has been resolved all my saved emails had disappeared.

Also cannot access my contacts anymore.

Considering that you have lost your mails from Outlook...

Search for the file in the following location

    C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst

If this file exists, try opening Outlook,

Or any file in this location with extension (.pst), infact if you have set the location for the configuration account on Outlook and then look at that particular place.

If you still can't find find the complete C: drive.

If you can't find so nothing else, but you have to say Bye-Bye to those e-mails.

I hope it works for you.
