Lost my music?

For a year I liked the Apple game, but $$ forced me to cancel in may 2015. I stored my music locally on a MacBook running 10.6.8 which is no longer supported, so I can't upgrade its iTunes. If I have a Mac running Sierra, my music will be available in iCloud?

If you're upgrading, then the library should come too, or you can back up and restore. Your purchases are generally available in the cloud. Other content can be if you had even an iTunes active game subscription or Apple's music.

I lost my music I transferred to my Sony Walkman using Windows Media Player.  Any suggestions?

    Hello

Please use the Microsoft Windows Forum.

As with any database, the information that is stored in the database or the database itself can be damaged. The Windows Media Player library database can usually recover automatically from the database. However, the database may be corrupted in such a way that Windows Media Player is unable to recover the database.

    1. click on Start , click run , type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player , and then clickOK .

    2. Select all the files in the folder and then click delete on thefile menu.

Note You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    3 restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files . To do this, follow these steps:

    # If you run Windows 7/Vista, click Start , clickrun , type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click onOK.

    # Select the folder Media Player and then click delete on thefile menu.

    # Restart Windows Media Player .

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

II. remove the Media player folder

III. to restart the computer, the Media player folder will be automatically recreated. Check whether the problem is resolved.

    2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

  • I lost my music on iTunes

I just transferred to an iPhone 7 but my music from my old phone (iPhone 5) not transferred via so I just went into my old phone and tried the transfer on my mac in order to put on the new phone, but now all the music on my phone has been deleted - is anyway to get back music (it is not on the mac either).

    Thank you.

If it is music bought on iTunes and it's still in the store and you have not reached the country since buying it (and you have not hidden cloud), it should show in the tab purchased in the iTunes Store app and article bought on iTunes on your computer (account > bought on the current iTunes menu option), for redownloading.

If you can't download it, or if it's your own music (for example copied from CD), copy it back from your backup to your library of downloads / and in iTunes on your computer via file library > add to library

  • I lost the music: when I delete a song in a playlist it is also deleted in my library

I use regular playlists, not the smart playlist. I followed the instructions on the site Apple help to iTunes, where it is written "deletion of an item in a playlist is not delete it from your iTunes library or your computer." I'm in the playlist, find the song I don't want to get there, click on the... where I can add it to other reading lists or delete. Choose Delete. Now, I realized right after editing a bunch of playlists and songs of them, deleting it also deleted from my iTunes library. I had to re-import (those I remembered the deletion) to have the songs in my library and other playlists.

How can I delete a song in a playlist and keep it in the library?

I have 12.3.3.17 which I believe is the latest version of iTunes.

Open the playlist.  Select the piece to remove. Press Delete on your keyboard.
