  How to install a second hard drive (4 t) of my HP P6620?  I opened the box and there is no extra cable for adding disks hard disks/CD.  Two slots used for cables are currently being used by the installed hard drive and a CD player.

  Hi @jdrabourn!

  Since all SATA ports are used at the present time, you can go with a SATA multiplier in order to have more drive connected to your PC. Plug you it in to a single SATA port, but limited all disks to the SATA speed (for example 4 discs on a 6 GB/s aura port 1.5 Gb/s limit each). This is different from a RAID controller because controllers allow a potential speed on each disc while the multiplier limited all disks to the single port speed.

  Regarding the cables, you will need additional in order to connect additional HARD drive.

• W7 Upgrade activation key is no longer valid after the second boot disk failures.

  My computer, purchased in 2009, had Vista pre-installed (no disk). AprΦs dΘmarrage player shows errors last year I bought an update to W7 (this time as a virtual drive). The upgrade went without problems. Now, a year later, my boot drive has yet again, this time a complete crash. I had to replace the drive and install W7 from scratch - and now I get the error message that the activation key is valid for an upgrade, not for a new installation.

  I tried to restore from an Image backup, but it turned out that the image was also corrupted. I have nothing more than the 'User', no file system folder. The old boot drive is totally inaccessible (blue screen just at the moment where I try to reconnect it), the first disc of starting (with Vista on it) is gone (and there were gaps, in any case).

  I understand why this (activation key invalid) happens, but I also believe I am justified in using this version of W7 and should get it activated. Someone has any suggestions how to solve this problem?

  I received this book, but it is secure.
  There is a BIOS password (which I have) and there is an administrator password which I don't have.

  With my user account, I can't install or change anything, so I want to erase the whole HARD drive and install a fresh copy of Windows XP, but I can't. I can't start from the installation disc or the Toshiba recovery software. I can't access the BIOS either, I tried pressing F12, DELETE, C, F1, Ctrl + tab + ESC,... but to no avail.

  And what happens if you press ESC on the Toshiba screen?

  I pretty sure that s ESC to the BIOS, but you can try other keys, maybe F2 m.

  I agree with the above use the A100 cannot be upgraded with a second HDD

  Disconect your drive, insert your disk again as master, install Windows XP on the new drive. Once msupdate was executed and the manufacturers drivers have been installed and the sys works ok.

  Stop, connect the old drive as slave, restart

  Transfer data as needed. You may need to "take possession of records" - see victory help (donot attempt the transfer settings)

• Accidentally used the wrong installation disk.

  I have 2 Dell products. One is a Dimension B110 and the other is an Inspiron 530. I recently did a complete reinstall of XP on the 530 and then realized that I used the shape of the disc the B110 and now I can not find the correct disks.

  As long as both systems have licenses (the product key sticker) for the same version of XP (Home or Pro), then it doesn't matter which CD you have used.  After using the bad XP CD is not the reason that network adapters and audio are not installed.
