Lost to administrator Dashboard section

All by editing a dashboard administrator I wanted to HIDE a section of all nonadministrator users, but I managed to create a section such that even the administrator has no rights to change; or see; the section - is anyway to recover, because I wanted to keep this section as the equivalent of a rem statement pointing me towards what was there, in case I ever need to re - gain access to the original format that the copy section has taken.

Thank you

Robert.

Solution for this is:

Open your catalog manager.
Open your catalog online.
Go to shared -- _portal -
Right-click and select Properties.
editing xml and copy the xml data into Notepad or notepad ++.
Search for dashboardSection.
This will give you all the sections in this page. Go to your section.
At the bottom of the article you'll find you something like this:

This is for the administrator in your case.
To take

Copy the whole xml data and paste it and save it. Once you save, reload your page and you will now be able to see your article if you did it correctly.

Hello Cristina, what operating system are you using?

    First try this,
    • Turn on your pc and you will get a white text and start pressing F8 on your keyboard (before the windows logo appears).
    • You get a list of options, select Safe Mode
    • Then windows will load in safe mode, you will be able to select the administrator account on here. If you have assigned a password, type it, otherwise leave blank.
    • Once you are on the account, go to the account options, select your account from the list and change the type of administrator account
    • Remove any other account that you don't need.
Then, restart your pc and reconnect again as usual.

What gives an account Windows XP administrator rights

Note: so that you have the right to assign a different account to the administrator group, you must be logged in as administrator or an account with administrative rights.

    Recommended method

    1. Open the Control Panel.
    2. Double-click the icon for user accounts.
    3. Click the user account that you want to grant administrative rights.
    4. Click "change account type".
    5. Select computer administrator, and then on the button change the Type.

    Alternative method

    1. From the Windows desktop right-click on my computer.
    2. Click on manage, which should open the window management of the computer as shown below.

    3. Click on the + next to the local users and groups or double-click it. Note: If you are unable to access this section, it is likely that you have no rights of administrator on the computer.
    4. Click users, and then in the right pane, you should see all the user accounts on your computer settings.
    5. Double-click the account that you want to view the rights of.
    6. Click on the Member tab of.
    7. If the user is a member of the 'administrators' this account already has administrative rights. If this group is not listed, click the Add button.
    8. Type 'administrators', then on the button check names. If found successfully you should get your computer name \administrators followed and he stressed. For example,HOPE\Administrators.
    9. Click Ok.

After following the steps above, this account will be a member of the Administrators group and has the administrative rights on this computer.

  • Update my windows 8.1 to 10 somehow I could not update completely and I lost my administrator account

    Original title: Windows 8

Hi guys I had a problem like this. When I updated my windows 8.1 to 10 somehow I could not update completely and I lost my administrator account. Icreated new account and try to connect, but still he said that I had been registered in the temporary profile yet, I had the chance to use. When I disconnect and try to connect again it stay on the page of waiting please two days stating at the time that failure to configure windows updates. Now I can't connect at all for the last three days. Help me guys.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description, you can not connect because it is blocked to wait please and you also get error message failed to configure windows updates.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue:

    • What is the full error message / error code that you get on your screen?

This problem may be due to updates pending.

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check.

    Method 1:

I suggest you to disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) drives, etc...) Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add devices one by one after the other until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue. Then we can update driver for this particular device.

If the problem persists, try Method 2,

    Method 2:

I suggest you to check if you are able to connect mode safe mode by using the following commands.

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Follow these steps to start the computer in safe mode.

    a. boot from the DVD of Windows 8.

    b. click on repair your computer.

    c. click Troubleshooting, and then select Advanced Options.

    d. Select the prompt option.

    e. Once you open the command prompt, enter the following command and press ENTER.

    Bcdedit/set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu Yes

One time completed, please restart your computer, then press F8 to access screen on startup, then press F4 or 4 to enter Safe Mode.

Check if the problem persists in safe mode.

If the problem does not persist in Mode safe mode, then perform a clean boot in order to check if any third-party application is causing the problem, as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to solve problems using the clean boot in Windows: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, read the sections "How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting" in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

If the question did not resolve, try Method 3,

    Method 3:

I suggest you to check if there is no update pending Windows needs to be installed.

If so, then I suggest you to install the update and check if it helps.

Hope this information helps. Answer the post with an up-to-date issue report to help you further.

  • Unknow administrator created, whereby I lost my administrative privileges

    Original title: Unknow administrator created,.

I have an account administrator created without my knowledge in the computer, thanks to which I lost my administrative privileges. When I log in in safe mode, I see the administrative account and my account. But when I log into normal account I can't and it takes me directly on the desktop. In normal mode, I can not see the information system and cannot see the control panel. An error message appears and says "please contact your system administrator. But when I log in safe mode and the account administrator I can see table control and information system. I want to get my loss of administrative privileges. Please do what is necessary...

First of all, make sure that you really have lost your administrator privileges.

    Open a command prompt window:

    Start-> Run-> "cmd".

    then enter the command:

    net localgroup administrators

This will give you a list of all users with administrator privileges.  If you open a session name is on the list, then you do not have administrative privileges and your problem is probably a corrupt user profile.  If it is not on the list, you can put it back on by opening a session as administrator (in SafeMode as before), bring up the command prompt window, then type in the command:

net localgroup administrators username / add

where you replace "username" with your own username to login.  This will add you back as an administrator.

If your problem was a damaged user profile, try the following:

This problem has been resolved by disabling Windows NLB NETWORK adapter settings.

We used Windows NLB long back for security servers, recently we removed view Security Server NLB Windows and place in F5 load balancing.

Not sure for some reason, the Windows NETWORK load balancing service came active, disabled, and the problem solved.

Cannot start; or work from the recovery console because of the lack of administrator password.  There were periodic crashes which led me to try reinstalling XP.  Now I'm stuck when I get to the password requirement in the Recovery Console.  As you can tell, I'm not computer literate, but can follow written instructions on how to recover from this.  Also, would like to know how to recover my files and programs if they are not lost; or how to determine if they are.

    gchtm5,
Thanks for posting with us.  If you no longer have the administrator password you can perform a parallel installation so that your data will not be lost.  However, you will need to reinstall your programs.  This link covers the different installation options.

How to recover the password lost for windows 7?

While your application may very well be authentic, it could also be interpreted as a surreptitious attempt to bypass Windows security.

The only recommended method to retrieve an administrative password is to login as another administrator account and reset the password to a known unknown. If the administrative passwords could be easily overcome, there would not be much point in them.

It is in the terms of use and the Code of conduct of the responses of these forums to request or provide assistance to the cracking a password. Do not forget that you agreed to these and review if necessary.

You can view the policy of Microsoft about lost or forgotten passwords (KB189126) for more information on what resources are available to you.

The only advice I can offer you is either log - on another user with administrator privileges and reset your password to a new, use the password reset disk that you created when you set up your account, start guessing what the password could possibly be or reinstall Windows by default.
