  My new folder location has way C:\Users\Ronny\... and all my OneNote hyperlinks are related to files to the location: C:\Users\RL\...

  I checked a few threads here, and it seems that it's not easy to rename your user folder. I spent a lot of time installing software and transfer the data from my old pc and my new pc, so I don't want to do this again.

  I use OneNote to study and my laptop is great, with many hyperlinks to pdf files, now located at C:\Users\Ronny\, as they were at the C:\Users\RL\ on my old pc. I definitely is unwilling to edit everything manually. I checked the mklink command, but I'm afraid to spoil the new folders now.

  There is not much of an easy solution for that, for the past, but I can offer an alternative to ensure that you never have to suffer again.

  In the future instead of just hyper-lier the PDF files, you might consider simply dragging them directly to your laptop and a fall.  Functionally, the only difference is that you will see an icon instead of a link, but just as before, you always this way with a single click to reach the PDF file.  Except that with the method of the icon, it can never be broken again.

  I assume you are using Vista Movie Maker 6 and not Live Movie Maker?

  at times combined clips on the timeline. I guess it's possible
  If you've done a lot of editing/trimming clips... something was corrupted.

  I was wondering... If you import the .wma file saved in Movie Maker and drag
  it to the timeline... it shows the clip as being the length of 12 minutes? If it isn't...

  then re-save.

  Divide... drag the playback at the end of the music and the type indicator... CTRL + L
  .. .to split the file then right-click of the unwanted part and click on delete.

  Tip: Unlike clips video... audio clips can be dragged to the timeline, so don't forget
  they are dragged all the way to the left to prevent air from dead at the beginning or
  between the clips.

  It may be worth trying to go to... Tools / Options / compatibility... tab and the left click
  the "All default settings" button before the Save.

  And... If the clips audio source are not the. WMA format... it could be a useful
  try to convert them to WMA before you import into Movie Maker.

  I'm starting to do a lot more editing and I'm trying to understand what is the best workflow for my media management when working with Adobe Premiere. I have three optionsand am looking for advice to go with. I'm working on two machines: a late 2012 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 iMac with 8 GB of RAM. AND a late 2011 MacBook Pro 2.4 GHZ with 8 GB of RAM. Both run OS X Yosemite. I would like to be able to switch between mid-project machines.

  I bought a 1 TB of space in Dropbox. Is this a good or bad idea to edit out of Dropbox, which means maintaining the project file and all property in DB? The advantage is that it syncs (possibly), making it easy to switch between machines of mid-project. However, it seems that the computer run more slowly. Can someone advise me on this?

  I have 750 GB on both machines. Obviously, the con here is that this makes it more difficult switch between machines. I'm not sure if active editing stored on an internal hard drive is faster than the assets recorded on the outside. Any advice?

  I have a LaCie Thunderbolt of 3TO drive.

  The pro is that I can switch between machines, but not as easily as the use of Dropbox - I still need to be near a power source and to keep my computer hard disk. I'm not sure if active editing stored on an external drive is faster than assets recorded internally. What do you think?

  Depends on.

  Depends on how fast your internal drive is your external drive vs. If your internal discs SSD, they will probably be faster than an external drive. Also depends on the interface you use to connect to your external drive.

  Unless you're dealing with a small project, I recommend you keep on an external drive as to not bog down your interior. First did a lot of background things that need space on your internal drive and it is best to keep it as concise as possible. That being said, if it's a project-ish going internal is usually faster, although it may not be very much more fast. It depends really so many variables such as how much time is your project, the codec, media, etc.

  Do you know how much media size-wise you're dealing with?

  I would like to know if it is possible to apply some effects (especially twixtor, some warp stabilizer, color correction) and see the result (perhaps at lower resolution, resolution 1/2, 1/4), without rendering, but the liquid (to check the image goes accordingly with audio, to see the speed change is control with twixtor, etc...)

  I know that I can use proxyes, but I think proxyes with less resolution gives problems with the stabilizer of warp and with less fps gives problems with twixtor.

  GoPro black 3 is very slow on CS6. Twixtor is poorly threaded and does not support CUDA acceleration.

  Re option 1:

  • The 980 is way exaggerated, a 760 is more than enough.
  • 16 GB memory isn't enough, you want 32 GB.
  • Forget the EVO. It's far too slow with the Scriptures. Get a 850 Pro.
  • Get a few more HARD and SSD drive to improve disk i/o.

  Re option 2:

  • A single video card is supported under CS6. Go on the other.
  • 16 GB memory isn't enough, you want 32 GB.
  • a single 120 GB SSD for media cache and previews is very low. Better to use 256 GB Samsung 850 Pro.

  With GoPro material and even with the improvements suggested (more memory, better disk i/o) that you will still experience slowness, jerks, unstable behaviour, because of the quad core CPU.

• Organize Clips edited in project using first Elements 4 Panel

  I use first elements 4.

  When I edit a clip in the timeline or in the Panel Monitor is possible now to put the clip in the project Panel and collect clips edited it the Assembly subsequently. I used Canopus Edius and you can assemble the clips in what is called the tray and then get back on the timeline.scenceline subsequently, makes for a nice workflow.

  I tried several times to drag the clip edited to the Edit/project Panel does not. I read the Help menu but it does not really address it.

  I'm not under any other software while doing this, I'm on 2 years, Dell with vista just FYI.

  It seems to me you can edit and place in the Panel project for later installation on timeline would make sense as a workflow? I looked at all the menu drop-down menus to try to move them as well but no luck?

  I know it must be something really simple anyone can help?

  We do a lot of editing on Edius but it's our backup system and we would like to do a simple task as described above. We then export them to a quicktime file and use the clips in another software called Proshow gold.

  Pre 4.0 (may differ in future versions), Dbl-Click the Clip to open it in the Source monitor, set the Points In & Out, then drag it to the project Panel, where pre will give you the opportunity to appoint subclip trimmed.

  I assume you mean ExportPDF service.

  PDF to Word, Excel or any other format conversion is one of the most complex things, you can try to do it with a PDF file. It works very well in some cases, in other cases, the output doesn't have much to do with the original file. The key to success is that the PDF file must be "marked" - which means that it contains information about the information displayed in the file. The best way to ensure that a PDF file is properly tagged is using the PDFMaker in Acrobat to create PDF from Word or Excel file (this is the Acrobat Ribbon or toolbar).

  Unfortunately it is not that you can do to improve the output without spending a lot of time (for example manually tracking file). In addition, because you use Adobe ExportPDF service and do not have access to Acrobat, it is even not an option.

  The only thing you can do is complain to the original author of the file and tell them that they used a PDF generator bad to create the PDF file.

• Solutions of games/Workhorse GPU for AE, 3D and other processes accelerated by GPU element?

  Currently, my PC is customized with Windows 7 Professional and sports a Phenom II x 6 16 GB of DDR3 Ram and a GeForce 470 GPU, PSU. I used to about 7200 RPM disk drives, as well. Mainly, I use it as a staff, games AND work computer, but now I have a job and macbook pro staff, and now with Adobe CC and GPU acceleration I hope to tune more finely to be a rendering engine. I would like to also keep my ability to play the games of the most recent and - running on Ultra isn't a necessity, but it would be nice to have the ability to push my system to the same graphics.

  I own almost all the plugins video CoPilot, and 3-d element and optical flares use GPU acceleration. I also use Premiere Pro to a lot of editing and I love makes it fast, and I hope to someday add Cinema 4 d or 3DS Max to my software. I want a GPU that can give me a few makes incredibly fast while allowing me to play at a decent rate. My budget is probably around $1000 for a complete overhaul, but I could see myself growing a little more high if she was worth.

  I look at the cards GeForce GTX 750 series (probably the 760 or 770) for graphics, but I'm torn between making the jump to a Quadro 4000. I don't think that the 5000 is in my price range, and I don't know that the 4000 would be perfect for my needs. My main question is essentially...   I know AE mainly use multicore, so I'm looking to the quad-core i7 4950 my processor. I was AMD, but after seeing it in action on many products of Adobe through my MacBook, I'm starting to think it might be worth the extra money to get an Intel processor. Therefore, as the 3D rendering is not my main goal, I'd like something that can give me a pleasant experience using plugins that are WHAT GPU accelerated - mainly plugins Red Giant and VCP - allowing me to play games.

  If this proves to be a choice between play and work, I guess an alternative solution could be put my old parts in a second case and have a gaming pc, then a working pc. That's fine with me.

  After Effects will be no acceleration of a GPU. Learn more: features GPU (CUDA, OpenGL) in After Effects

  3-d element could be able to handle larger and more complex models with a more powerful card, but I doubt that the Quadro difference would be a price difference.

  C4D uses very little GPU.

  Spend more on a processor more in addition to RAM would make you better than a GPU. If you build a computer for After Effects and first, I strongly recommend to Watch this presentation.

• Impossible to get iMovie to 'find' my videos in PHOTOS

  I know how it is supposed to work for videos from the PHOTOS app.  You go in iMovie, go to the LIBRARY of PHOTOS and I'm supposed to be able to select the album or video in the PHOTOS.  However (and been at the Apple store on the subject twice) since the replaced PHOTOS iPhotos my library (libraries) have been damaged or displaced.  But right now I see the 4 videos in the PICTURES and I can't drag it above.  I can't IMPORT because they appear NOT anywhere on the choice iMovie gives me part of the library of PICTURES, but NOT what's actually in mine.

  I have a lot of editing and the person is here today to give a voice and here I am stuck unable to slide or get access to the videos that we shot together in iMovie to edit.  Why can I I not drag and drop on the desktop.  At least, it's a choice that I must get in iMovie.  I won't send them because I can't lose the quality I have of have compressed them that small.  They go to a course I've created.  Help!

  If you drag and drop the fromPhotos on the desktop, Photos will try to create a preview of the video.  If slipping does not work, the original of your video file may be unreadable or missing.

  This test by exporting videos on the desktop instead of drag.

• Is the iPad + Hynek still viable combo in 2016?

  Hi all. I just needed advice on that. I was currently an Android user and wanted to test the waters of iOS in an inexpensive way. I sold my phone to buy an iPod Touch 6th Gen and a silent phone. With my laptop by train to die, I need a key feature of "computing". I've thought about selling the iPod Touch to get an iPad (no matter what iPad, I am open to suggestions). I would also need to sell my laptop in decomposition. I intend to keep the mute phone and get some kind of iPad as my main machine computer. I thought rather in the sense of a Pro iPad because of the possibility to get a smart keyboard. I'm willing to invest in it with the money I saved. The thing is, I won't be able to afford an iPhone or another type of phone. Something feel it disconnected for using a Hynek, combined with days and days of calls of battery life for me. However, I don't want to lose any connection to the internet. Is this a good idea? Can an iPad as my main computer and effectively replace my camera and laptop? Note: my profession requires no complex editing tools or anything of the kind. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

  First, spend some time of real quality on the Apple Store to decide what better devices to meet your needs. You might find 6 + only iPhone to be able to do what you need.

  I got an iPad 4 and a Hynek for three years now. The phone is the easiest part, buy a Samsung Tracphone to Wal - Mart for 10-20 dollars, then every 3 months buy airtime. You can save your unused minutes, right now I have 500 minutes waiting for me.

  I would like to get an iPad 2 Air instead of a Pro. Right now you can get a 16 GB Air 2 for $ 400. The keyboard sounds good, but I found that I can live without it very well.

  I had a question about what would be the best way to import Motion 5 sequences into a Final Cut Pro project?

  Specifically, I started using both programs as a hobby, and I learned how to post Motion projects in Final Cut Pro as a generator.

  However, as most of my work involves a broad green screen and the effects of particles of edition, all the sequences essentially have to go through Motion. (as I am skeptical of 'Tools' Final Cut Pro when I can do more with proposal anyway)

  So is the only way to import sequences of movement is made by a generator in Final Cut Pro?

  I feel like there should be (and it might, like why I'm curious) a less encumbering way to import video edited between the movement in addition to hundreds of generators in Final Cut Pro.
