  My installation is barely a week, so I guess that the installation did not have the correct settings. After you apply some changes to settings caused the system to behave properly in this case.

  Recently by alert audio low battery on my windows 7 laptop stopped working.  After exactly one hour of disconnected use, it goes into hibernation, even if it isn't at the level of the power critical.    Tried to change to warn me earlier to the critical power of level and pause, but did not. Still no sound alert and always goes into hibernation sometimes prior to the critical power level, last time at 28% of power.

  Maybe the laptop battery has failed and must be replaced. Ask for replacement, if it is still under warranty, or at least ask manufacturers to connect with technician so that they point stem exactly the question.

  Using the battery down quite slowly.  I would say even at 80% used, you have more than enough time to find a record. In fact, even 90%.

  Just make sure to turn off and additional processes (at the time) you won't need until you get to a form. For example, Safari.

  You can check the time remaining very easily, but showing the percentage of battery used in the menu bar.  Then you can click and hold on the on the percentage number and it will tell you how much time is left.  For example, mine is at 89%, and it tell me I left 11 hours.

  Some troubleshooting steps:

  1 make sure that the option display > Display Options > grid view > thumbnail Badges is checked.

  2. make sure that view > grid view Style > Show options is checked.

  3 reset LR preferences, which sets out a number of surprising problems when the LR user interface is wobbly: reset the lightroom - updated - Lightroom Forums preferences file

  4. If none of those who help, post a screenshot of high resolution of your LR window.  That could give clues.
