Low use of networks with a copy of the Windows 7 TO Windows 2008 Server client

Using Windows 7 ultimate and Windows Server 2008 R2

Two machines, connected via LAN 1000base-T with CAT5e, with a full duplex 1 GB switch between... and Yes, I tried swapping the cables and ports. Server has two RAID5, a tray of 6 and a tray of 8. Resort of work has two RAID5, a 3 SSD and a tray of 4. Both sides with the help of Intel CPU iX and a 811xC chipset RealTek Gb LAN, same latest LAN drivers on both machines. Static, client IP address in a workgroup and server a domain controller for a domain (have not tried to join the client to the domain yet).

I use Windows Explorer to COPY a set of files of 20 GB... I also tried xcopy and robocopy, with similar results. I tried all suggestions concerning the card settings network about unloading of duplex, big package, DRC, some changes to netsh (RSS and autotune) and a few others. Nothing has really affected the rate of final transfer significantly improve the use (and backup speed - the whole point of this exercise).

Server to server disk 2 Disk1: > 250 MB/s (server disk IO is not a problem).

Server to server disk 1 Disk2: > 250 MB/s (server disk IO is not a problem).

Workstation Disk1 to Disk2: > 150 MB/s (workstation disk IO is not a problem).

Workstation for Disk1 Disk2: > 150 MB/s (workstation disk IO is not a problem).

Now for the IO: first a base line by using the server-side Windows Explorer to copy a Client mapped drive to a local drive on the server:

-Disk1 (D :) Server Workstation Disk2(Z:): 91MB/s (près de 100 % d'utilisation de LAN).))

Everything looks good so far, but we will retry the same operation, but use Windows Explorer of the customer to copy a disk server mapped to a client local drive:

-Disk2 workstation to the server Disk2: 25 MB/s down to 17 MB/s; sometimes as low as 9 Mbps. average about 20% use.

It seems that there is something in Windows 7 that prevents fast passes; or something in Windows Server 2008 that blocks quickly gets. I put the client and server-side receive the training for people with reduced mobility, normal, highlyrestricted and experimental, in different combinations. Once again, nothing concrete to report as an improvement.

The MS Gurus, which suggests that I do with NetMonitor as well as capture something worth their time to diagnose?

People - I think I finally found the culprit - and I feel pretty stupid not finding it earlier. No of MS technicians also shoot quite appalled could help.
Disable Windows Search service (a service of indexation).
It seems if you never 'change' which is sought (such as adding a new disk, the oath of research), the service will begin to read all the files that are deleted or added to the field of research. If you move, copy, even delete files will incur the wrath of Windows Search indexing delays.
Once again:
Turn off / disable - Windows Search - service to start.

I can access the shared files of most of my computers on the domain, but there are a few that have WINXP Pro can't do. You have placed your beam to insert at the end of your text on page 13 and then apply Insert menu: Page Break? In the v5.6.2, Pages I just add a new page to a section of four pages to this approach.

I just got a new laptop, Dell Inspiron 15R with pre-installed Windows 8. Aware of the Windows 8.1 update I logged on my account (which represent the highlights of settings I have administrative privileges) has sailed to the store windows and clicked on the download tab Update button. The thing is that I am the only administrator account.

I've read reports that uninstalling Windows Update KB2871389, and then put it back solves the problem.

This isn't just normal? Just today I upgraded to VC4.0 to be able to deploy my new servers based on findings on this forum. And no matter if I change the Machintype Vista x 64 or elsewhere Vista32 (what is wrong of course). Any other gopt experience with this?

There should be no need to upgrade to vCenter4 just to be able to customize a W2K8 Guest.  We vCenter 2.5 and have no problem.

  • Windows 2008 Server Standard not install KB3099860 with error code 8000FFFF

    Hello

I look after 3 x Windows 2008 Standard Edition servers. Two of them to date very well and are up to date with updates. One of them however, which is identical in hardware to either of the other two and even fewer programs (we use it as a simple file server), fails on the last update released December 2015:

KB3099860 a security update for the .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2 in Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2: 8 December 2015

I tried a variety of things after having studied the problem these past few days, including:

1 Uninstalling some updates before this one and see if they re - install. They are all re - install fine until I get to it where it fails with 8000FFFF error code so this leads me to believe that this is not in itself a problem with updates

including rename them the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution Windows Update and giving of right on drive C for "Network Services" - still does not work.

    6. as it is associated .NET I tried to repair .NET facilities that exist on the server (2, 3, 3.5 and and re-apply updates, but even once, fails on it.)

So, what should I do now? The behavior may suggest that it is that only this particular associate .NET that is a failure and that future ones will work, but it's "critical" and which relates to the .NET version which is initrinsic to the Windows 2008 operating system I think I should get it fixed :)

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

  • Where can I get a copy of the Windows XP installation for my sister. His was a virus and I had to format the drive. It's a registered computer

Where can I get a copy of the Windows XP installation for my sister. His was a virus and I had to format the drive. It's a registered computer. I have it ready for the operating system but I need to download a copy so I can retrieve my CD-ROM/DVD-Rom drive, so I can then bring to its system and reinstall the XP and then if she wants that we can get a windows 8. I use windows 8 on this system, I bought a few months ago and it's satisfying, but I don't understand why when I got it I could do things like using the keyboard of the screen with my fingers, but now I can't even use the keyboard mouse. It won't work at all. In a way I found it better that way at the beginning because I do a lot of typing and it would freeze until I was constantly stressed. I returned to Windows 7 mode I think but not sure.  All I know is that these two things have never worked correctly, so if they are still under warranty I will bring to the Future Shop and maybe they can fix it. I wish I could turn on and off easily so it does not interfere with my writing and study of a language second.

    Hi Matt

The Toshiba Recovery CD, you can buy from the Toshiba service partner in your country.
I don't know that it is not very expensive.
The database with the right ASP, you will find on the page of Toshiba.

Another possibility is to install the OS from the original Microsoft Windows, then install all the drivers needed and utilities Toshiba.
These applications you can find on the page of the Toshiba driver.

Problem of this sort occurs generally when the driver that supports your token is not fully compliant with all standards. Some signature applications are mild for some of the discrepancy and you can still use your signature token in these applications. Acrobat is more strict about this.

Without actually having your token, it is difficult to continue the investigation.
