  After downloading Dreamweaver CS5-built and Style.CSS site, Web pages, the pages do not display images that are contained in the CSS file.

  Please can someone help?

  It appears correctly in the local webbrowsers through dreamweaver, but every time that I load them up to a server all files are transferred but image do not seem to appear on the web page.  I check that the side jpg files server and they all seem to be there.

  I'm so confused and don't really know what to do.  I have check images with firebug and it say

  Could not load the given URL

  I hope someone can help. I look forward to the advice on that.

  1. you must send your SpryAssets Dreamweaver folder to your remote server.

  2. There is no such thing as http://harpers.x10.mx/images/Headers/harpersheader01.jpg .

  So either

  (a) the image has not been uploaded, or

  (b) it has been downloaded but in the wrong folder on the server, or

  (c) the path in the link is wrong (check the CaSe Sensitive - for example headers or headers?)

  On my site, there are 7 pages of catalogue with images with links to detail pages. One of the pages of the catalogue displays fine but on others 6 pages, "[AD]" appears where the images should be. The links still work, but for some reason, the code of the image when the publication changes.

• jpg not showing is not on web pages

  Did someone encountered a situation where jpg are not displayed on web pages?
  
  I have a number of jpg files that were provided by a number of companies that will not show on a web page. In Dreamweaver, you do not get a preview, and when the page is online you get the old box with a red x, as if the file is not there.
  But if I open all files in Photoshop or Photoeditor etc and just save it again then it works. It of like if the jpg format is not recognized by Dreamweaver and web browsers but is recognized by Photo Editors, and then so re-registered by the Photo editor is then back in a form understandable by browsers.

  They were indeed CMYK JPEG files. I'd forgotten it's possible.

  I built my website using the Muse www.bridgendphotography.com using Business Catalyst to host and currently use Smugmug for my client to proofing.

  I bought The Turning Gate CE3 Gallery of customer response to load client proofing directly from LR (latest version cc) galleries.

  However, (several times) I watched the video of Howard Pinskey on loading the web galleries using BC. I entered all my details as I should. The Gallery of the charges but when I try to view it in a browser I'm met with a "Page not found".

  Any suggestions please?

  Going slowly insane - last week - animated images, random images on websites and clicking on a google ad is not display or work (any announcement of google ad Word takes me to a white screen with a gif of 1 px in the middle). I am a web designer and I couldn't update a slideshow for a client because the images are not displayed.

  My Bookmark icons had also disappeared, but with revised since these sites - they came back.

  I am beyond tearing my hair - I have no adblock on my browser - I have it on my ipad - that's synced with my browser.

  Have you checked the security such as firewall or antivirus software? If any of these installed a toolbar in the browser could be blocking things.

  It is possible that you clicked the 'Block Images' item in the context menu by attempting to save an image.
  Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > content: Load Images: Exceptions - see the web content, pop-ups, fonts and language settings

  A way to see what images are blocked is to click on the favicon (Site ID icon) on the left side of the address bar.
  Click on the "More information" button opens the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "tools > Page Info").
  Go to the tab Media of this "Page Info" window.
  Select the first image and scroll though the list with the arrow pointing downwards.
  If an image in the list is grayed out and there is a check mark in the box "block Images of..." and remove this mark to unlock the images from this area.
