• No catalog shared, supported in Lightroom 3?

  Hello

  I used Lightroom 2 with a catalogue shared on my mac. It was shared between me and my wife who log in as different users. The catalogue was simply put in the directory where both users have full read and write access.

  I tried the same with Lightroom 3. The first user opens the catalog and all is well. The second user can open the catalog (when it is closed by the first user) but not to see all the pictures unless I go to the develop module. Then the (individual) picture is displayed normally.

  It seems as if the second user cannot access previews. Any idea?

• Read a list of variables shared remotely

  I asked this question yesterday and I'll try again today.  How can I read in my LV program a list of available shared variables that reside on another PC?  This morning, I realized that if I go into the Manager of distributed system, I find a list of all computers on the network as well as all the variables that are shared on each PC.  Is it possible to programmatically access the system distributed list manager?  I really need to dynamically read a list of shared variables.

  We want to be able to share in the company catalogues what field 3 orgs.

  No matter what we do, we cannot get a shared catalog is visible in another org for users whose role is less than "corporate administrator"?

  Change the default roles (or create new ones) under System-> Administration-> roles and add the catalogue-> published the right catalog view. By default, this is available to Org Admin or above.

• HP Officejet Pro 8610: two printers on the same remote network model will not be printed, but local will be

  I have two furniture stores that are run on a windows sbs2012. Recently, both off my all in printers are down in the same week. The first was at the location where the server is actually housed. I bought a HP Officejet 8610 and managed to put in place without problem a lot via a wired network connection. So I decided since who went to buy the same model for my remote which is also connected, but it has a wireless access point. I was not able to get anything to print from my main software called profit systems. I can get things to print to the shared remote drive. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but even if connected as long as administrator I get a error that reads "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. I put it up as both just and redirected network and it shows it as ready in the State, but after it clears the queue that nothing prints. I checked firewall settings and all with HP is checked on. I'm pretty computer but I am full of ideas. Help, please!

  So after that I lost two days of my time and more than two hours of my time of I.T. guys it came to our attention that the driver IS NOT SUPPORT this model of HP JO 8610 redirected remote office printing! HP really, really?  So we have to install the driver 8600 on the server and local computers to get things to print. Problem solved, but it's just sad that this was the problem.

• Problem with remote access in a residential group

  Having a problem with desktop sharing remote within a group of home access.  I don't have problem of access to the desktop from the laptop, but for some reason I can't access the laptop from the desktop.  I tried everything I could think of.  Remote access is enabled on both PCs.  Help, please.  Thank you very much!

  (1) check if the deleted dashboard is the default dashboard appears when a user log

  (2) open the Catalog Manager and goto Shared--> portal to ensure that there will be no message saying: "Access denied" so you get than analytical--> settings---> Administration---> manage Presentation catalog---> Shared--> folder checks the permissions button is grayed out or not if yes need to set the permission for this file (Portal)

• EtreCheck and 60 minutes to write this post... El Capitan 10.11.6 imac 2010 middle... I spend more time watching beachball than my children.

  Any help would be appreciated... I guess I may increase the RAM, but am sure that's not the only cause... Time Machine doesn't work, access NAS is out of service, Office 2011 is lumbersome. Printer/Scanner does not work, and the list goes on.  Anyone care to enlighten me?

  Any person with access to the Mac allowed someone to access remotely to your office? As hundreds of scam we sites that display a popup saying your computer is infected and call a toll number NOW!

  Based on that alone, I'd be concerned someone has installed a keylogger or other backdoor on your Mac, or at the very least, turned on items such as screen sharing, file sharing, remote access and remote management connection in system preferences. If one of them is on, it's not good and I consider the compromised computer.

  There are also a number of unnecessary plug-ins installed. I mean, who really watches or use movies in DivX format? He's also dead like ultraviolet. In addition to the two PDF Adobe Reader plug-ins installed, there is still a third, PDF Browser Plugin: 2.4.4. I would like to delete it.

  Try to run this program, copy and paste the result in a response. The program was created by Etresoft, a regular contributor.  Use please copy and paste the screenshots can be difficult to read. On the screen with the Options, please open Options and tick the boxes in the bottom 2 before the race.   Nevermind, I figured it.

  For some reason, the first name and the account name were different and I was using the full name in the command. Once I used the name of the account, it worked.

• FTP installation

  Hi all

  I hope someone can help me with something that I'm trying to set up. I have two computers, a Yosemite running and the other running snow leopard. My Snow Leopard computer stays at home and is connected outside some hard drives that House many of my files. I would like to be able to access this computer remotely by using my machine of Yosemite.

  I have VNC & Viewer Server and was able to correctly configure those through port forwarding on my router. My problem with this method is at the time when I have a bad connection, this will consume too much bandwidth, because it's a visual interface. Ideally, I would like to use Cyberduck or any other FTP client to connect to my computer for Snow Leopard and just have a list of files and folders in front of me.

  So, I turned on FTP access in the sharing pane of system preferences, but of course, the only address it lists is the local 192.168.0.10 subnet address. Now, I thought maybe I could just use the port to VNC Viewer works and access it that way, I opened. For example, if my IP address is 68.146.XXX.XXX and the port, I opened is 1234, then I would connect via FTP using these credentials.

  This does not work, unfortunately. I'm looking for, so you all to see if anyone of you have some advice on where I am wrong and that I could do to make it work.

  DO NOT USE ftp in this way.  It is much too precarious.

  Use SFTP instead via system preferences-> sharing-> remote access connection.  SFTP is SSH based and very safe. CyberDuck must manage the SFTP connections.

  Configure the redirection of port port 22.  Make SURE you have a secure user account password.  Easy to remember and type, but make it long like all things being equal elsewhere plus a password is much more secure than a short complex password.

  If Cyberduck allows you to specify a destination port SFTP, you can cut down on script-kiddies probe the well-known ssh port 22 trying to connect to root (they make, even if the root is not enabled on OS X systems).  This poll is just an annoyance.  Anyway if Cyberduck will allow to specify a destination port you can have your router forward a high numbered port of your Mac 22 one-way.  For example you tell you the router to listen on port 34567 and direct connection on this port to the port of your Mac 22.  Choose a high numbered path to your taste (less 65 565)

• HP7650 lack of choice of the printer

  Context: Network House (airport and wireless Ethernet) with a Mac Pro, iMac, MacBook and an older iPad. Everything works well with the latest updates installed. Until recently, our inkjet HP 7650 AIO (via Ethernet to the network hub) worked without problem for years on the network with two Ethernet (Mac Pro and iMac) and wireless (MacBook and iPad) via the Airport base station.

  Suddenly, it does not appear as a choice of the printer on most of the machines and the little that it does not appear as an option, the "winding" (off-line printer) icon is displayed. All other network actions (file sharing, remote access, backups) are very good.

  I'm looking how to change, via the terminal, the 4 fields named info 1 and 2 info, info 3 info 4 in the "system preferences/sharing/remote management / computer settings button.

  Hi, at home, I sometimes I could use a desktop from my laptop to my desktop sharing session.  At home, my laptop connects to the office through the internet.  My office is also.

  I want to be able to use my desktop computer to connect to my laptop for I can have a desktop sharing remote, but without this communication on the internet.  I mean that both are connected to the same router.  So for maximum speed, I need to the sharing session only switch from laptop to router and then to the office and reverse the path while the normal activity of the network from my laptop's internet to the desktop.

  So I want just the connection sharing desktop NOT to go on the internet.

  Is this possible?

  How do I put in place?

  I tried the option "Invite a friend to help" and established a remote connection. But the connection is slow. So, I'm sure that all this goes to internet before even reaching each PC.  I want the fastest possible connection and it goes no further then my router.
