No catalog shared, supported in Lightroom 3?
Hello
I used Lightroom 2 with a catalogue shared on my mac. It was shared between me and my wife who log in as different users. The catalogue was simply put in the directory where both users have full read and write access.
I tried the same with Lightroom 3. The first user opens the catalog and all is well. The second user can open the catalog (when it is closed by the first user) but not to see all the pictures unless I go to the develop module. Then the (individual) picture is displayed normally.
It seems as if the second user cannot access previews. Any idea?
Kind regards
Oliver
I posted this same problem on another forum and now have a solution that works for me. See http://www.lightroomforums.net/index.php?topic=10396.0

Nikon D5 and NAVE D500 files not "recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom"
Hello
I have a Nikon D5 and a D500 and I downloaded and update my Lightroom CC only 2 weeks ago on my MacBook Pro 2015. I just tried to update again, and he said his day. However, when you try to import NEF files in Lightroom the following message is displayed:
"The files are not recognized by raw format support in Lightroom.
Help, please!

G16 format not supported in lightroom 4?
Hello
I have lightroom 4 and I'm on a Mac. I have not upgraded because 4 generally meets my needs - perhaps so far?
Recently I tried to put in RAW format from a Canon G16. Not a new camera and adobe says support LR supports the camera (but don't say in what versions).
Cherry LR took some photos to bring but left most of them, which ends with an error message:
"These files are not recognized by the RAW format supported in Lightroom (1328)" and then to each file in the download of all number list.
I downloaded the last update, I could and still have the message and failure.
What should I do to fix this?
Thank you
Monika
Monika,
This camera has not been backed up to 5.2 LR.
You have two choices if you want to use this camera raw files:
- Lightroom to version 6 upgrade (5 is no longer sold).
- Download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert your Canon CR2 files to DNG and import.
Download the converter DNG here: Adobe.com - new downloads

L.R., I cannot import the photo of the new camera. Get the following message: "some files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom." Click below to view a version update of Lightroom. Done this and updated Lightroom 4.4. Still cannot import - get the same message.
Devices supported by Adobe Camera Raw
The D610 requires LR version 5.3 or newer.
If you don't want to upgrade, you can download the current DNG Converter and convert the NEF files to DNG before importing the DNG files.

How can I import my catalogs, presets, etc. from Lightroom 6 CC of Lightroom
I recently bought and use Lightroom 6, now want to buy the package of creative photography Cloud. Can I transfer all my catalogs and LR6 LR CC settings?
Lightroom CC will use the same catalog you used with Lightroom 6. All of your presets should be visible, as they are now. The only thing you need to do is to move to Lightroom CC. I do not think that this still requires a reinstall, but I could be wrong. I've never used Lightroom 6. I think all you have to do is install the application Cloud Creative Manager and connect to.

Hi traveler,
Please, try the steps in the link provided by Franz Leu.
> You can also try to rename the folder Lightroom in the Sub Lightroom.old rental.

I recently bought a Canon 5 d camera SR and when I imported the photos taken in RAW, Lightroom gave me the following message: "files are not recognized by the inLightroom of support for the RAW format (73)" what should I do?
Hello
Looks like you may not have the latest version of Lightroom as the Canon 5 d R raw files are supported in Lightroom 6.0 and above (not in previous versions)

I just bought, installed and registered 6 Lightroom. When I try to launch the product I get a message that says "an internal error has occurred" - could not create the required file: admin/Users / / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Filter Presets. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
Hi Anthony,.
You must go to the location: admin/Users / / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom
Hold down the CTRL key and click on Lightroom, click on read the information and click the permissions tab.
Provide the permissions to read and write to your identifier and then close.
Then reopen Lightroom. You should be able to open Lightroom.
Please let us know if it helps.

I bought a nikon d610, when I tried to import raw files in the same way that I had always done with my old nikon d80 before I could not. I got a message saying that the files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom. I also tried with photoshop cc and I couldn't either. Any suggestions?
Camera Raw plugin | Supported devices
The D610 was first supported by Lightroom 5.3.
You will have to pay to
- Lightroom 6 upgrade, or
- Join the cloud, or
- Download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all the D610 Raw files to DNG, and then edit the DNG in Lightroom 4.4
Digital Negative (DNG)

I got CS3 installed and installed LR 5.5 and I tried to import my D800 NEF files and got the below error.
I then installed 5.6 and tried again and got the same error
I then uninstalled CS3 and LR and CS3, LR data directories and camera raw dir in the directory my profile app and reinstalled 5.6
I still get the error. I just bought LR because I realized, that it supported the D800 from a 4.x version.

You don't want to use Nikon Transfer! It corrupts files so that Lightroom can not read them. But here is a link to a utility that will repair the files. I have never used, only seen it recommended.
Difficulty of the corrupted Nikon NEF Images
In the future, I strongly suggest that you just use Lightroom to import your images. It works well. There is no need whatsoever to use Nikon Transfer. Is there any reason not to use.
No problem with Nikon Transfer, providing you up-to-date on a regular basis. It is part of NikonViewNX2 which is regularly updated to include new Nikon cameras. Update of Nikon will notify you of new updates. I use to transfer files nave of cameras D70, D100, D200, D300, D3, D700, D7000, D7100, D800 and D800E as I had them for years. I like it because it of fast, allows me to include copyright data and profile data he copies, and it will also rename it if you wish. They are then ready to be imported into LR.
My advice is NEVER use the import of LRs. IME process it has never worked well, even when the update.
