  I found this link where a person fixed a similar problem with editing the registry.

  Make sure that you back up all personal files you do not lose to a portable hard drive and create a restore point by using System Restore utility first, because editing the registry might cause some problems with your PC, also do not start and you have to reinstall the operating system.

  If you need assistance for updating BIOS (Basic Input Output System), I recommend you contact the manufacturer of your computer to update the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) & check if the problem persists.

  Note: Changing the BIOS / chipset can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/chipset can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  It is possible that the file has been moved. It is possible, if the folder is on an external hard drive, the drive letter has changed. Without more details, it is difficult to diagnose. One thing you can try is to right click on the folder in the library module, choose the option to update the location of the folder. Then use the dialog box that appears at the point Lightroom folder.

  I have a MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015) running OS10.11.4 with 16 GB 1867 MHz RAM DDR3 and a 500 GB SSD. Because of its size, I have my library of Photos stored on a 256 GB SSD card into the card SSD slot. I have two questions:

  (1) whenever I start the Photos for the first time after a reboot my Mac "forget" where the photo library are stored, and although I've repeatedly called my "primary" I have however must always say Photos where is my library. Why is this? Is there anything we can do about it?

  (2) my first question was a minor fight; It is much more important. I can't export my photo library photos. I can't export to my internal hard drive of the SS, nor it will export to the SSD card on which the library is stored. What is happening with this? What I can do about it. I'm writing this, I transfer my external library of Photos on a hard drive to see if that allows me to export. (Because my photo library is so large, it may take several hours). I strongly suspect that this won't work, however.

  Is there something else I can do?

  I'm at my library of Photos for the first time in a while and I find that I have extra copies of many images. 5 to 8 options many images.  Looking at, a large part of the Meta data is different, which can be partially, at least, due to an incident of erasure and disk recovery that I lived in 2014.

  Looking through these tips, I learned what a vs a managed library referenced and determined I have a managed. I saw where, because of this, deleting photos in Photos should remove the file from the original disc.  This doesn't seem to be the case.

  If my photo library file and my photo files are located on an external drive, rather than the default file structure the startup disk?

  It seems that eliminating extra, superfluous, copies of photos in a library of 20,000 + image could save me disk space, but going through the library, then by all records to research the Extras won't be effective.

  I would like to know that the removal of a photograph of the photo library will eliminate this photo from my HARD drive.  How can I ensure this?

  Let's say I photo library 'A' and the first library I have ever created. I then turn on iCloud library ensure those sync up to my iCloud account.

  If I have more than one library of Photos, and I called photo library 'B' as system photo library, it will turn off the iCloud Photo library feature.

  If I go to turn on iCloud photo after photo library 'B' new photo system library, images already synced up my iCloud account of photo library 'A' will merge with the 'B' photo library and may be what is happening here.

  This folder are the files stored in (the full path name)?

  It is probably a permissions problem with - with the file or folder (or one of its parent folders). You want to give yourself full rights and/or to take ownership of the file/folder.

  To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

  To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself).
