  • NAS200: One of the shared folders are not accessible by the same admin account.

    Good day everyone.

I know that this is the best place to get the answer to my question.

Anyway, we've had this NAS200 for a year or two now and there was no problems until recently.

We have various accounts and folders in the storage and one of them is the shared folder A.

Lately, when I try to open A shared folder, it tells me:

\\192.168.XX.xxx\Shared notebook A is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.

I checked my settings of the user and be the admin for the NAS, I have the abilities to read/write for all files in the NAS.

I checked the folder via the drive (using Windows 7). Unlike other files, the shared folder A, does not display the availability offline and offline status. As follows:

A shared folder has no display of the State, such as updated folder.

I'm confused as to what is the problem.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance!

"Insufficient resources" means that the Samba on the NAS server ran out of memory. It shouldn't happen, but it does. The reason is probably that you did a lot of operations on files at the same time (for example copy the entire directory tree), and Samba tries to keep information about each file in memory. You have probably seen it slow down much until you lost the connection.

The problem will probably resolve once you restart the NAS server: push the power button on the rear closed (it emits a beep to confirm the press the button, then after a minute or two, the lights will be turned off), then press again to start (you will hear a beep, followed after a few minutes of another beep to confirm that it is online). Don't just pull the plug or you can corrupt your data.

  • the boot selection failed because a required device is not accessible

    Hello

I give my 15 years old nephew an old laptop so I am trying to run a system recovery and restore it to its original state factory.

As soon as I clicked on Recovery Manager > System Recovery > restore to their original factory condition, I get a screen with this message Windows Boot Manager:

Windows could not start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To solve the problem:

    1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer. (don't have)

    2. choose your language settings, and then click "next".

    3. click on "Repair your computer."

If you do not have this disc contact the Adminitrator's manufacturer or a computer in your system.

    Status: Oxc0000225

Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is not accessible.

Is there a way to get around this. I would get to it as soon as possible, but I want to wipe all my info beforehand.

    Thank you!

    Karen

try to perform the recovery by using the partition.  boot f11 and recovery manager must take over. If not, or if the process does not finish successfully, perform a large hard drive. If the test successfully you will need to order a copy of your HP recovery disk.

as an alternative, you can create a new admin account and simply delete your existing account after.

    hope this helps

can anyone how to reach this unit on the field correctly?

Hello Mr President - I think I solved this problem by simply renaming the computer. It was a replacement of another older computer, but I kept the same name I understand can cause problems.

I got the above message when I tried to access my room servert pc (XP Pro with Service Pack 3) from another pc Client (XP Home Edition with service pack 3) on a network share. I see all class document & readers who share in my network places on both PCs.
There is no problem when I have access to XP Home Edition of XP Pro. I heard the pc installed with Acronis True Image to give to this question. But my two PCs are installed with it. Any solution.
What I've tried so far on my pc (XP Pro):
    1. click on start, run, type regedit, and then click OK.
    2. Locate and double-click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
    3. on the right side, double-click restrictanonymous setting.
    4. make sure that that the value in the value data box is set to 0, and then click OK_ (why the default value is 0. I change it to 1, but always the same)
    5. close the registry editor.
    6. restart the computer.
I also tried to enable the allow anonymous enumeration of SAM accounts and shares on XP Pro (default value is Disable).
File and printer sharing exception is enabled in firewall. Don't have a firewall part 3

The two guest account are capable of Simple file sharing in XP Pro box checked also checked.

I bought Windows 7 Professional on a new computer, because a program that I use every day may run in XP mode.  Configure XP mode and when it asked for a password that I left it empty and press to enter.  When I try to enter in the file config on XP the message "is client\users\administrator is not accessible." You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permission.

I downloaded the andxp of MS virtual pc mode because this 8 year and plu program will be run in this mode.  I copied the old computer config file and you want to replace the file loaded when I installed the program on the new computer.  Who will save me load all data files (more than 80) and not to recreate the data in these files that I changed. I installed the program from the original disc and it is implemented very well except for the config file.

    Hi Hugh Humphreys,

Leave the password empty section and see if the XPMUSER can be accessed.

Method 1: If the problem persists, you can try to access Windows XP Mode with the default account named "Administrator". This account appears when we get into Safe Mode. By default, there is no password for this account, and the password is determined when you set up the Windows XP Mode. We can use this account to reset the password of the other accounts password. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) Firstly, disable the integration features.

    (b) restart Windows XP Mode. When the Boot Menu appears on startup, press F8. (Continue to press the F8 key until the Windows Startup menu is displayed.)

    (c) on the advanced Windows Menu of Options, select Safe Mode and press ENTER.

    (d) log in Windows by using the administrator account and the password.

Note: The password is empty by default unless you already set a password.

    (e) after the connection mode safe, click on "Start", go to "run", type "nusrmgr.cpl" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.

    (f) choose the user you want to change and click 'reset password'. Set a new password.

    (g) click on "Advanced" tab, click on the button "Advanced".

    (h) click on "users". The choice of the user you want to edit in the right pane. It to the right and click on "Properties".

    (i) check the "password never expires". Click on 'OK'.

    (j) then exit the settings and restart Windows XP Mode to normal mode.

Method 2: Please try following the steps for the computer to remember the credentials and do not ask the password to open each programs:

    (a) when he asks for a password, click Cancel. Without integration feature, you are allowed to log on with an account that does not have a password.

    (b) set a password for your current user.

    (c) click on tools on Windows Virtual PC, choose enable integration features.

    i. type the password, check the box "Remember my credentials" and click OK to open a session.

II. after joining the domain, logon in XP mode with the local administrator account.

  • "Cannot access working group on some computers running XP - ' < name of working group > is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource ".

I have a home with 4 PC network - one of them is running Windows 7 Home Premium (with homegroup disabled) and others running XP Pro.  The XP machines is called 'Server' and the server and the computer services browser running and set to automatic.  Two other computers, called "Notebook" and "Dell", as well as the machine Windows 7 have no file and sharing printers enabled and have specifically the Server service is disabled.

My problem is that one of the two XP client machines cannot access the working group.  Let me be clear about this: I open Windows Explorer and click on "My network places"-> "entire network"-> "Microsoft Windows network", there is then a second 5-10 break and then my workgroup name is displayed.  When I click on the name of the Working Group, there is another ~ 10 second pause and then I get a message that says error " is not accessible.  You might not have permission to use this network resource.  Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have permissions.  A device attached to the system does not work. ', where is the name of my group to work for other days, after some of the computers are restarted, I find that the XP client has absolutely no problem with that; but the other now has this same problem.  In other words, the problem going on between two XP clients.

Let's analyze: I have Windows on all PC firewall and any other firewall program.  I tried to disable the Windows Firewall and my anti-virus (temporarily), program without effect.  This may not be a problem with the way I've set up my actions because the error occurs when I try to click on the task force rather than a shared resource.  This cannot be a problem with a specific XP client because at different times, each of the two PCs worked perfectly without any changes of configuration made between the two.  It could be a problem with the server settings; but I don't see what it could be.  I tried editing

    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters and changing

IRPStackSize from 21 to 45, then 50.  I also tried to change the size of 2 to 3.  I restarted the server and the client XP and had no effect.

I don't have the same account of user configured on all three machines.  However, this cannot be the issue because the problem occurs when I click on the task force, before the server name is still displayed.  In addition, each of these two XP clients have connected with their existing user accounts at times.

I tried the Wizzard of configuration network running on all four machines, without effect.  I tried a lot of things, most of which I can't remember.  I'm at the end of my mind.  Help, please.

    JW,

    Thanks for the continued support.

By the advice of IPCONFIG, I looked at the registry for all computers and found EnableProxy wasn't there.  According to the documentation by default to 0, which is what we want.  However, I added it to all the computers and left it set to 0 and restarted the computer.  The node Type still said 'unknown '.

Thanks for the info on the master browser.

The ""Network location cannot be reached"when you access actions."
the article talks about Windows 2003 Server and none of the symptoms mentioned relate to this situation.

The "network adapter advanced troubleshooting for Windows workstations" is on hardware troubleshooting.  I think that it's probably not a problem because the computer has no trouble to access the internet, which is not possible if the card network are not working.

I went through the AutoCorrect entry to reset the TCP/IP stack, even if the article describes symptoms such as difficulty to access the internet...  And...  THIS MARKET!

After re-booting, the PC that was in trouble can now access the working group.  All other PCs can always too (have not tried to restart all over again).  AWESOME!  I can't thank you enough!

I re-post if the syptoms happen; but for now, we can consider this issue RESOLVED.

    Thank you 1 million,

    Adam

    Hello Urbchguy,

Thank you for your message.  It is possible that the profile has been corrupted.  Let's try the following:
Connect to your computer with one of the admin accounts that works properly.
Click 'Start' > click 'My computer' > navigate to the following folder:
    C:\Documents and Settings
Rename the problematic profile to add _old after profile.
    example: C:\Documents and Settings\jsmith_old
And then disconnect and reconnect under the problematic connection.  A new profile will be done, you can then copy the 'old' profile data to the new.
Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve the problem.
    See you soon

    Hello

I managed to solve my problem of not being able to access... \\DELLDESKTOP.

I searched the forums and found the following method which sort my problem but apparently it only works on machines running XP Home Edition.

On the machine running XP Home, go to Microsoft and download the program rktools and run it

    You find at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=4544

Once you have it installed, click on start, all programs, Windows Resource Kit Tools, Command Shell

Then enter the following commands (not case sensitive)

    NET user guest/active: Yes

    NTRights + r SeNetworkLogonRight u comments

    NTRights - r SeDenyNetworkLogonRight u comments

I don't remember who posted this solution but I found it by typing in the actual error message in its entirety, in the search box.

In volume NTFS, only the owner of an object (file, folder,...) which can change permissions for this object. You must take possession of your C: drive somehow, after this only that you can grant permissions to users.

Try to get into safe mode, log in as 'Administrator' (enable that account first if it is currently disabled). Then right click C:\ drive, click Properties. Go to the Security tab, and then click Advanced. Go to the owner tab, and then change the property to 'Administrator' first. Then, grant permissions like these for these users [CMIIW]:

Authenticated users: read, execute, write, edit,
    Administrators: Full control
    TrustedInstaller: Full control
    SYSTEM: Full control
    Users: Read, execute

Finally, change the owner once more to "TrustedInstaller".
