  I have 20 macs in a University laboratory image in the same way, with a user model that I created.  Worked fine for several months.  Lately, the chances that my user model does not load correctly is 50-50.  This takes the form of:

  • the loading dock is generic and does not include my shortlisted apps
  • wallpaper is the default 'Yosemite' image and not the wallpaper that I created
  • or, the mounted drives are not displayed on the desktop.

  

  Pictured above, the bottom image is what I call a wrong profile.  It is in this profile, you can see that the dock, HDD and wallpaper are not loaded; However, things like the Finder and Safari open to the correct location, based on a template.

  Our laboratory is partially controlled by JAMF/Casper to load scripts at startup.   These logon scripts in the form of:

  • load the customer print PHAROS
  • load a "alert of emergency of the University" application in the dock
  • If the user has a folder on our server, xsan, Casper Mont scripts this folder on the desktop (this feature works on our Mavericks stations, but is broken in Yosemite).

  What process occurs when a user connects and the model is pulled?  Is it possible that Casper connect you scripts could be in conflict with the creation of models of the user?

  Solution: The question is a folder called Non_localized, reflect the English.lproj content with this file in template/User.

  Unfortunately, there is not a firmware update to enable your printer for AirPrint. You could try the HP ePrint App for the iPad/iPhone.

  Download Pack 2.6 extensibility. It just came out. Take a look at page 11 of the extensibility Guide Print. It should have the info you need. If this is not the case, let me know.

• Lightroom 3 x 64 winner - module printing without image display

  Hi, after a clean install of lightroom x 64 on W7 x 64 enterprise I'm not able to see a preview in the print module. Slideshow, web works well, but print module displays only a blank gray, rulers, grid (even if checked in the preferences). Tried to change the default printer from Canon iP5300 USB to any other printer (printing from other applications are no problem). I saw this problem long in L2, but don't remember the solution.

  Please, someone has same problem or knows how to solve?

  Some news: I tried to put the new LR3 facility on a new install of W7 x 64. Preview works very well, but after 1 week, the same problem. No installation of additional printers or devices during this period. The preview works only in the small catalog with jpg files. Any other catalogue with RAW (10mpx) images shows not preview in the print module. The Camera RAW cache is purged, the catalogue is optimized. Y at - it a tip how to display the preview? Thank you.

  I just had exactly the same problem: no preview image or grid and leaders discovered in the module printing from Lightroom 3 (3.3) after the new installation of the software - just a blank white page basically. My operating system is Windows 7 x 64 and this problem appeared in 32 and 64 bit versions of Lightroom. The cause and the solution was simple: on the right panel in the 'Format', not 'units of the rule' menu was put - all empty space. When I clicked on this space on the right of "Units of the rule" and chosen one any of them - say "Milimeters" - print preview and 'Guides' appeared immediately. So I change the unit of measure, but not unchecked them completely.  I think this must be the little bug in the software.

  I am having difficulties with a text style in my templates module in British Colombia (especially the blog). The drop-down list in the Editor's paragraph style does not reflect the H1, H2, etc. that has been downloaded to the site at its inception in Muse.   Your CSS code target the elements with the class ".h1-GaramondB-40-151", but this blog page your elments of a H2 does not have this category against them, that's why you need to replace the class name with the h2, as this element:

• LR4 printing module: print on the edge of the paper

  How to do a print to the edges of the page, and how to fill the area outside the margins with black. I would prefer not to have to go to PS to put the image on a black, if possible.

  Do you have sizes customized in the print job with an selected print to JPEG? You should be able to then adjust the cell size. Alternativaly make the size of your own paper with border 0.

  We have a critical issue for the default settings of the Application Module (taking a data source DB connections)
  
  I know that on the Web, it is generally suggested that each request must end with a commit or rollback when executing blocks PL/SQL 'directly' on the DB without the intervention of service framework ViewObject/BC/entity.
  
  Now, for some reason, we started to develop our applications with the thought that each Web Session référenceriez exactly a DB session (open any instance taken AM pool) during the duration of the session, so that the changes made by each session Web DB session would never interfere with the changes made by 'other' Web Sessions to 'other' DB sessions.
  
  In other words, because of this persuasion, we implemented often sort of "transactions" that open and close (with commit or rollback) every DB session not in and after a single HTTP request, but during several HTTP requests.
  
  As think of a concrete example of this scenario:
  
  1. the user presses the button "insert." An HTTP request is triggered. The action listener is running and ends with the insertion of rows in a table via a block PL SQL (not via the ViewObjects API).
  2. no commit or rollback after the PL/SQL block above is still done.
  3. Finally, the user presses a button of 'Validation' or 'Dismantling', taken from the appropriate call to the AM methos.
  
  These three applications are what I called the "transaction".
  
  Literature, it is clear that there is no guarantee that the couple HAVE istance + DB session is the same in all applications.
  This means that, during step 2, it is possible that another user can do reference the same 'pending' AM / DbSession for its needs and 'fly' sort the work done via PL/SQL after step 1. (This happens because sessions taken poolside are always cancelled by default).
  
  Now my question is:
  Suppose that we have defined the parameter 'Maximum Pool size' to the very many (always less than the maximum number of concurrent users):
  Is there a guarantee that all applications will be isolated in this case?

  No, I don't think that there is a specific guarantee - at least according to the documentation. You could open an SR with support for asking the question and ask them to refer the matter to the development. The way to ensure things would be to disable AM pooling, which, according to the literature, is not a configuration supported for production.

  I know it's probably not what you want to hear, but if you hired me to come and consult with you, my recommendation would be to redefine the architecture you have. In the end, you'll be happier with the results. If you have an API of PL/SQL, you use, you could write an extension of the generic framework for your EOs that could take advantage of the API of PL/SQL instead of SQL calls (there was little prior work on this and N of Frank, recently said that he would become an EMG effort, but not until next year). If you did, you can further increase your PL/SQL, but without violating the rule "don't let state pending in the session DB".

  Have an Officejet Pro 6830, model 6835.  Error message received saying this printer had print head problem.  Also the error code oxc19a0020.  Troubleshoot-carried out every day to solve the problem without success.  Reset, change cartridges, activated and deactivated (including source) and nothing has worked.  Bought on 23/04/15.  Only three months old.  Help!

  As much as I know there is no printer currently in-process which has a mirror of the functions copy image option. Usually this function would be in the printer or the program driver settings that you use for print transfers.
