LV lose bytes (once?) in the process of loop

Hey dear community NOR!

I lose bytes... and I guess, I do it during the first loop of my program.

The .vi is attached below. Here is a screenshot of the block diagram and the 'live feed' monitor the missing bytes (after explanation):

Here's how the program works:

My Arduino Mega2560 sends the data of 16 pins + chain marker 'xx' in a continuous cycle. Now, I want to follow those pins.

1-34 (= 16pins * 2 [bytes] + 2 ['xx']) bytes are read and checked for the sequence "xx".

2. the index of the first character after "xx" determines how much more bytes are to be read before our loop begins. (The purpose behind this is to have the 34-byte-strings during each loop begins with 32 followed data bytes the bytes of the 'xx' marker.)

3. the loop takes 34 bytes and evaluates the first two bytes for the value of the first pin.

The 'before the correction of the loop' shows that the used string ends with 'xx' just before the beginning of the loop. Measure the loop bytes with 'live feed' displays however data, where 'xx' is not in the end, makes the assessment of my impossible. (Note: 'xx' in hexadecimal display '7878', then the string of bytes in the above image is disabled by a single byte.) Also, note that once the program is started, the false '7878' position remains the same, as if the byte loses occurce once.

Any ideas?

Kind regards

Froebel, Friedrich G.

PS: The Arduino Mega2560 is running at 38400 baud. Higher values are not accepted. Do you know why or how I could solve this problem?

Friedrich,

The default value for VISA configure Serial Port is to terminate readings with a stop = 0a = newline character. Any time a 0a occurs in all of your data, the reading will be terminated without expectation of 34 characters. Solution: wire a False entrance to stop character constant allow the upper part of Setup.

Or you can change the stop character to be your character of marker (such as discussed in your other thread).

  • Can someone help me understand the process Instance recovery

First thanks for all of you who responded to my post, any help is really appreciated.

I would like to more deeply understand the Instance recovery process then the Administration Guide of Oracle Docs can tell me.

What I have so far of Instance recovery is:

1 oracle determines which files are not synchronized.
    2. all data from redo log files is applied to restore log buffers by progression. Buffers do not participate on the database of normal transactions because they are marked to pick it up.
All these data are applied to the data files (commited and contains transactions).
This step is called roll forward.
3 cancellation are used to restore transaction no. After this step the datafiles not aura no data contains on them. At this point, the instance is available for users, but the blocks used are not.
    4. all files are now in sync.

    My questions are:

-Step 1, what process determines which files are not sync? Make the bed of Smon the controlfile and data file headers and then make a list which is not sync?

-L' step 2, what is the process that reads the information in the redo log files and complete the recovery log buffer? What is the CKPT? And how he is warned that he might start to read the files after completing step 1? There is a semaphore that is defined for it?

-Step 2, which process applies information engaged and contains buffer redo log for the data files? When it starts to apply this information of the instance is already partially available to users?

-Step 3, what is the process that reads up to cancel to restore transactions not? This process must be done once step 2 is complete as could be blocks of the undo tablespace on buffers of the right-wing newspaper do it again? And when this step 3 starts, the process is triggered by an another semaphore?

-When step 3 is finished, what process changes the State of the database of partially open to open, or that's just what we call it when the database has always revenge marked for recovery?

Thanks again in advance for the help, there are reasons not practice known this information, I'm just a curious person who could not find this information on the google...

    Ricardo Rodriguez

    Ricardo,
Well, I'll take a chance to respond.
    (1) SMON in the start-up phase, in the strict sense in the editing phase, compares the SNA stored in the control file with the data file headers. This sCN is called checkpoint SCN. It is always higher among the controlfile so its part of the same database and is not set up to an old backup. By this correspondence, Oralce comes to know that there are some report files with their SNA control point is only not with the controlfile and consequently, instance recovery is reported. Here is the list of files is prepared.
    (2) the same process SMON only would trigger playback of the redo log files and launch the Rollforward process. Roll forward is made from the last address bytes redo controlled at the end of the restore log forward. This means that the last block, blocks have not reported in the data file are simply read and are dumped on the data files. As a result, we get a situation that the data file will end up with a lot of data committed but also committed that redo is containing both.
CKPT process will not come in the picture I think. Where did you read what CKPT would do all this?
    (3) SMON governs all this thing is to say the application of the data for the data files. No, in this phase, we are still in the phase of mounting that this recovery is called crash recovery. Oracle wouldn't let users to use the database at this point. Data is still not available for them.
    (4) do not bring semaphores here. They are already in use when you allocated the memory of your instnace. Its work process level. After the mount phase is completed, oracle would open up the db. At this stage, "the transaction recovery" aka rear roller phase. That would be launched to relax all the operations that are not validated.
Now to do this, undo will be used. Oracle launches this phase into two or more strictly speaking 3 ways. One, SMON would just check how many blocks will be there for the recovery. If they are larger, it would begin the rear roller with parallel slaves. This is called "we demand" rollback. It is initiated by the user. So if you were using the EMP table data and the server crashed between, now the next time you start, if you try to access the same blocks once again, they are set aside on the basis of priority.
The third one will rollback transaction intra. It's basically splitting the work among the slaves so that if a slave is sitting free, it can share the work and can move forward to make things more quickly restored.
Please note that all this is happening at the open stage. This means then that this is the case, oracle is available for users. And second, there is little change in this process (an integer) 9i go. This is called two-pass recovery which has been made to make this process a little faster. In this regard, SMON ignores these blocks that are controlled by DBWR during execution of the phase of rollforward.
Hope this makes some sense and helps. Let me know if there is something wrong or unclear.

  • The process APPNOS and APPTS are devouring my RAM and make my computer very slow.

Hello, I have an iMac (late 2012) 2.7 Ghz intel core i5 with 8 GB of RAM. Lately, my computer has been extremely slow and almost unusable for the last 4 days. After repeatedly to close the market and stop, I finally could open the activity monitor after about 25 minutes of loading. I was shocked to see that the process APPNOS and APPTS consumed 13 GB of RAM each, with a total of 27 GB of RAM used even if my computer has only 8 GB of RAM. I left the two processes of strength and my computer still worked once, normal, but these processes continue to pour every time my computer sleeps. I hope that someone knows what these processes are and how they arise or eat more RAM that I stop.

For what it's worth, update macOS Sierra from El Capitan did nothing.

    Thank you

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

  • Kill the process of copying files without leaving Finder

I had problems with copying the files to a shared disc on Tiger G4 with the Mavericks.  Not infrequently, the copy process hangs in the middle.  I know how to force quit Finder, but this then reverts all of my windows to a previous state that follows re-opening, re - organize, etc..  Finder is always sensitive, it's just the copy window stays there. I tried the little 'x' to stop copying, but it just hangs there to 'stop... '. "Is it possible to identify the process in activity Analyzer who made the copy and leave this process?  Apparently, this was a good question in many versions of Mac OS x (including stop copy essentially do nothing), but I can't find an answer.  Still, the rest of the Finder seems to work fine, so it seems to be a sub procedure that hangs.  I'm not afraid of the Terminal if that's what it takes.

March 25, no responses.  The problem of the copy was due to files corrupt on the G4 (the player starts to get bad sectors), but I guess that once sent a copy command that it disappears really in the base of the computer and can not be stopped unless it eventually times out or something.

  • What is the order of the removal of the songs to an iPod Classic syncing > somehow my laptop has started the process of synchronization without my knowledge and removed approximately 2,000 songs of my iPod classic.  How can I identify which were delete

What is the order of the removal of the songs to an iPod Classic syncing > somehow my laptop has started the process of synchronization without my knowledge and removed approximately 2,000 songs of my iPod classic.  How can I identify which were deleted songs?  I always manually move files to prevent this.  I'm on Windows 10.

Has no way to know that...

If your library iTunes music fits on the storage space of 160 GB of your iPod classic, you just set to automatically sync your entire library of music.  Then, it won't matter which has been removed and which do not get deleted, because your iPod music library is the same as your library iTunes music.  And iTunes it keeps this way, every time your iPod connection (or click sync , if already connected).

If you don't want "everything" in your iTunes library on your iPod (understandable), you can create a playlist in your iTunes library with all the songs you want on the iPod.  Then, set to automatically synchronize the playlist to iPod.  Instead of manually managing iPod, you manually manage playlist in your iTunes library.  The iPod has no need to be connected.  The next time you connect the iPod (or click sync , if already connected), iTunes will update the iPod with the same changes.  The big advantage is, if something happens like what you describe, or needs to restore iPod (erased) or even if break you your iPod (and get a new), need you a few mouse clicks to solve the problem.  Just set it up to sync the same playlist once again, which exists in your library iTunes (not only on the iPod).

You can post back for more information about how to use automatic synchronization to do what you want more easily, go ahead.

  • difference of initial value of string between the steps in the process and an external instance of LabWindows/CVI

    Hello

I'm curious to know what I see using TestStand, LabWindows/2013 2013 with regard to initial in TestStand string values when you perform the steps in the process or an external instance of LabWindows/CVI.

I have a step (CVI) string value that is used to check an array of characters stored in an EEPROM to test.  I pass on the Step.Result.String in the CVI by reference.  I then read the table charater of the EEPROM in the chain (Step.Result.String).  The string is then compared against the limit as specified in the test step breast.

When I run this test step to perform the steps in the process selected in the popup Configuration of the adapter of LabWindows/CVI, it seems that the memory allocated for the string is filled with null characters.  Which is what I expected.

When I run this test step to execute the steps in an external instance of LabWindows/CVI iselected of the Configuration of the adapter of LabWindows/CVI popup, it seems that the memory allocated for the string is filled with something else.  That is not what I expected.  For example what I see in the memory, it's the first characher is one byte NULL but the remaining bytes are some other values, as shown below:

    F0 00 AD BA 0D F0 AD BA 0D F0 AD BA 0D AD BA 0D AD BA 0D BA 0D AD F0 F0 F0
    F0 AD BA 0D F0 AD BA 0D F0 AD BA 0D F0 AD 0D AD BA 0D AD BA 0D F0 F0 F0 BA...

In my code I make sure to write a null character in the following location table charater I just write in the chain so I have no problem with the test is working properly.  I have remove the writing from my code null character and was able to verity that the test passes when executing the steps in the process and fails during execution of the steps in an external instance of LabWindows/CVI.

The returned string contains what I wrote for her, and then the rest of the string is filled with the values that are in the memory allocated for the string.

Here's my Question: is this the expected behavior for the original string values in TestStand between both types of stage performances?

    Thank you

    Chris Young

In general teststand not Initializes the unused portion of the string buffer, so it is expected that the values of the memory after character no endpoint will be different, or even to each call. If you happen to be get zeros after the null terminator which was probably due to random character (i.e. the memory allocated just arrived already having zeros in there) or perhaps a debug setting you use perhaps in the Visual C runtime (if you are debugging the process in visual studio or modify visual C runtime heap parameter). TestStand is not initializaing memory after the null terminator character in both cases (I checked the code).

  • Media Center does not download information Guide - error during the processing of the data

Media Center displays an error saying I need to look at the log of update, but I can't find the update log. Try to download the Information Guide to hand does nothing.

Of your last log its connection and download the guide, so there is no connectivity problem as stated above.

Try clearing the guide and the tuner configuration data and set up once again and then check if the guide updates correctly:

    1. close Windows Media Center if it is open.

    2. go to Start , type services.msc in the search box and press ENTER.

    3. look for the following services and check the status field, if they are started and then right click on them and chose to Stop:

    ·         Windows Media Center Receiver Service

    ·         The Windows Media Center Scheduler service

4 open tasks now CTRL and SHIFT Manager, and then press the ESC key.

    5. click on the processes tab, then click on Show processes from all users .

    6. in the list, click the name of the Image to sort by name, and then look for the following:

    ·         ehmsas.exe

    ·         ehrecvr.exe

    ·         ehsched.exe

    ·         Ehshell.exe

    ·         ehtray.exe

    ·         mcGlidHost.exe

    7. in the case of imperfections, right click and choose end process.

    8. go to start, in the search box, type the following path: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome

    9. find and delete the file mcepgX-X - X.db and X-mcepgX-X file

After that it's over, go through the configuration of the original tuner once again and check if the guide updates correctly.

  • Stop the loop in the process

    Hello

Once, I am for another question, desire to learn more about labview and these countless obscure secrets.

Well my problem seem is a common problem, but I have not found the answer in other topics.
Here are the levels of my (simpler if you look directly at VI) VI

1st level, I have an event to bring the action or return to the main Vi
level 2 (during the measurement process), I have an loo whilep with an event case inside to stop the loop if the process is blocked. but it does not work.

And to make matters worse I can't press the keys at the start of the measure

I'm on this problem for 10 hours is not a question asked without thinking, but I am really stuck.

    Thank you

Firstly, stacking of the structures of the event is going to be tricky, very quickly, so I want to disencourage to do until you are an experienced developer of LV. You are currently a little diving on the "first numbers", which is generally understood as the warnings from the structure of the event.

The second thing is that I understand that you want to terminate the wait function itself (which represents your external code). This can be done. The reason is simple: LV is just waiting for the code complete. So saying LV to stop his execution will happen as soon as LV "took over". This will happen once the external code is complete.

You CAN complete the thread using the Windows API, but you should / must restart the entire application of the LV to prevent corruption of memory created by the son put to death (not recommended).

    hope this helps,

    Norbert

  • I have a svchost.exe in the processes that CPU load in WinXP.How to control this?

Process / task manager has a svchost.exe thatreally slows down and sometimes crashes my computer. Windows XP Media Center Edition with

SP3. Is there any solution for this?

It is usually associated with the Services.  One instance of "svchost" can support multiple services.
The first step is to download and run the "Process Explorer" from Microsoft
       <>http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653 >
This program is the the Task Manager on steroids (once you try it, you'll never go back to the Task Manager).  Once you start, you should have no trouble to identify which instance of "svchost" consume all your CPU.  When you do this, place your cursor on this "svchost" in the process column.  A pop-up menu lists the services that are currently covered for this instance of svchost.

New commissioning Services (start-> Run-> "services.msc").  Find running services that correspond to the list that you obtained in the previous step.  A double click on this service will give you a screen that will allow you to Pause or stop this service.  Try to stop the appropriate services until you see your CPU down to normal.  This will determine what service is the consumption of the CPU.  How you handle this from here will depend on what you find.

(As a side bet, my money is on the "Windows Management Instrumentation" service.)

Start by installing the latest Service Pack (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935791). You'll have so far fewere updtes to install.

Also note the following regarding your answer to the question of PA Bear "clean install has been through choice. After 3 years machine has become bloated and slow, and I decided to wipe them fresh, start over and give up unused programs that seemed a good idea at the time. » :

In my view, it is usually a mistake. With a minimum of care, it should never be necessary to reinstall Windows (Vista or any version). I ran Windows 3.0, 3.1, WFWG 3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 now, each for the period of time before the next release is out and everyone on two or more machines here. I never reinstalled none of them (with one exception--a problem that I worked on for weeks without success), and I've never had anything more than an occasional minor problem.

It is my belief that this erroneous notion comes from the technical support people in most of the major OEMs. Their solution to almost any problem, for they know not quickly answer is "reformat and reinstall. It is the ideal solution for them. It gets you phone turned off quickly, it almost always works, and it does not need to do any real troubleshooting (a skill that most of them has obviously not in any great degree).

But it leaves you with all the work and all the problems. You must restore all backups of your data, you must reinstall all of your programs, you must reinstall all Windows and updates of the application, you must locate and install all the necessary drivers for your system, you will need to recustomize Windows and all your applications to work the way you are comfortable with.

In addition to all these things being long and painful, you may encounter difficulties with some of them: you will find all your CDs application? You will find all the necessary installation codes? You have data backups to restore?
