  • iPhone connects to the wifi but does not connect to internet

I have an iPhone running iOS 9.3.2 6s (last updated).

The phone connects to the wifi network, but even if it's to show the signal strength is good, the phone does not charge any internet content (weather, FaceBook, email, etc.).  If I disconnect WiFi and use the data, it works very well.  We have no problem connecting to the computer or a smart TV network wifi and internet connection.

This also happens with my daughter 5s iPhone and iPad for my son.

Sometimes it will work fine on wifi, then a little while later I can't get anything to load. And it can be like right now when I'm at home alone is not as if there's a big load on our wifi.

We have high-speed internet by cable (25 MB/s download speed) and a router Lynksys EA3500.  Encryption is set to WPA (not WEP).

I tried to go into my phone settings and reset the network.  Always problems.

It's really frustrating because you eventually switch to our mobile data and use it instead of our data ' wifi '.  And then to go on our data on our phone plan

Here's a tip for the user on the problems of Wi - Fi. Suggest from the top and bottom. Maybe one of them will help you.

    (1) perform a forced reboot: hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Leave the device to reboot.

    (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

    (3) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth).

    (4) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

    (5) disable the prioritization of device on the router if this feature is available. Also turn off all apps to VPN and retest the Wi - Fi.

    (6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

    (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

    (8) backup and restore the device using iTunes (ask for more details if you wish).

  • Presario a900: unable to connect to the Internet

    Greetings,

Just do a system restore on my wife's cell phone. Internet worked before. Now, I can not connect to the internet. I can connect to my wireless network, it shows as connected, but on the network share, it shows as connected page. Not connect Internet using my browser or email program. Watch as 'unidentified network '. I had my computer tech look at his store. He was able to connect to its network. At home, connected to my wireless network and it shows as no link.

Only has the "ipconfig release" and renewed ipconfig ". Nothing has worked. I can't see my other computers on the network, which is strange. Network discovery is turned on.

I tried also simply plug a cable between the router and the computer. Still no Internet connection. Using a Lynksys EA6400 router.

It's very confusing. Something that should just be a plug-and-play. Any help would be greatly appreciated before all my hair out.

    Thank you.

Ideal for ask. I wanted to post it. In fact, the link is on this site. Wish I had seen several days ago. Could have saved me probably 10 + hours of searching for the answer. In fact, it was Linksys at the second session of cat that told me what was the will. They wanted to change the security on the router to a lesser degree. But then it would have led to problems of connectivity with my other wireless devices. Some useful information.

  • Problems connecting to a Satellite Pro 4600 for network wireless home

    Hello
My computer has a processor Athlon 64 x 2 4200 + and 2 GB of RAM, with XP2 Pro. I have a Linksys WRT54GS broadband router and connected with Virgin Media.

My daughter gave me an old laptop a Satellite Pro 4600 with a 747 MHz Celeron processor, 384 MB of RAM and XP2 Pro has an Intel Pro/100 VE Network adapter. I set up a Linksys Wireless - G Notebook Adapter with SRX (model No. WPC45GX), so that I could use around the House. However when I try to connect to the home network, although he "finds" a list of networks, I am unable to connect and get an error message - "Windows cannot connect to the selected network (my home network). The network can be is no longer in range. Please refresh the list of available
    networks and try again. »

I tried to connect with laptop computer in the same room as the router, but get the same message. In the Manager of peripheral devices, network cards, the two are shown and both work properly, but in the taskbar there is a red cross shown on the two icons, they say that a network cable is unplugged, but I don't have a cable network.
The other tells me that the wireless is not connected.

I presume that the adapter works as it can 'see' wireless networks, I used Lynksys support to verify that all router and adapter settings are correct.
My wife has a new laptop and is able to connect to the home network with no problems.

Please can someone offer advice or assistance.

for some reason, you need to turn off your wired connection (cable) and use the client of the PCMCIA wireless network card. Maybe just the problem that your system can not separate the two network connections and gets an error it s. You should also visit the site Web of Linksys and download the latest driver and the customer for the card, so you can make sure that the software is up to date.

Another good idea would be to visit www.microsoft.com and the support center for any 'knowledge base documents' which could probably solve the problem.
As your machine is really old and no one is using PCMCIA cards more, you may wait a long time for an answer in this forum. Maybe you should check the site from linksys for a support section. Maybe they could help you...

  • HELP linksys wireless USB adapter: (model # WUSB54GC) "acquiring network address" not actually connect to the internet! ?? Windows xp pro

Hello. Ive been at this for 4 days now, I can't find a solution. I'll try to remember as much as possible regarding what ive tried.

    here goes...

long story short, due to unfortunate system errors, I have reinstalled my OS XP home to xp pro. PC works great now! problem is... now my wireless adapter wont connect to the internet.

When I had xp home edition installed, I could just plug in the adapter, and a few seconds, it would connect to the favorite network. (with all settings on Auto) no problem.

now that ive put in OS, it's just cycling "absorbing the network address" infinitely...

his watch the access point, the preferred network, showing the signal strength and do not show errors in Device Manager. right-click and choosing fix do not work. It gets stuck @ renewing IP address scene. its not send or receive packets under status.

He EXPECTED to be functional? It uses a 10-digit WEP key.

Ive tried both the linksys wireless monitor and the windows zero configuration utilites.i since removed the lynksys software screen because it never worked anyway. WZC is that used to work on xp family.

I used " ipconfig/all" to determine the values of the network on the host pc. I tried manually punching in those values (IP address, subnet mask, gateway and DNS settings, according to the suggestion of a networking of friends) on the adapter wireless itself; using tci/ip options. still does not connect.

Ive tried different USB ports, all that seems to do is to change the number of the wireless connection.

It just does not connect to the internet.

I have the driver I need for this after contacting linksys. I also disabled windows firewall and the firewall/antivirus of 3rd party associated with the network.

He knows questions w / windows xp professional and this particular wireless adapter? (WUSB54GC) that's the only reason why I can think of that is not connected.

what I forget? internet hard wiring of an ethernet port is not an option because there is no ethernet card installed in the pc.

any help is greatly appreciated in advance.

    Thank you.

Sorry it took so long for me to return.

It was a setting under working group which had to be adjusted from reinstalling windows. (something that has been disabled I forgot, don't remember what it was since its been like 3 weeks)

that he got the running dhcp... That is to say. allowed 4 dependence to work progrmas, boom, problem solved.

the adapter now works with the automatic settings, using WEP encryption. as it should, and it was.

Thank you very much for the replies, I appreciated the help.

  • Connect 2 routers using the Wi - Fi connection.

I have a Netgear router with a wireless antenna connected to the internet via a cable. I want it to spread on my antenna wireless of my Lynksys WRT310N where I have a few computers.

How could I go about this?

I read somewhere that I need DD - WRT Firmware. Currently I use the firmware WRT310N parental control features.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You want a wireless bridge. You cannot configure a wireless router Linksys into a bridge with the Linksys firmware. 3rd party like dd - wrt or tomato firmware should add this feature. Check a dd - wrt or tomato forum for instructions.

  • Connect iPad WiFi

Hello, I have a Lynksys routher model WRT54G2 I just bought an ipad and tried to connect to my wifi but it always tells me that it cannot connect to the network after I typed the password.  My iPod connected without problem and is always able to connect.  Thanks for any help you can give me.

Another thought - your network password has weird characters in it?  I have heard of situations where because of bugs in the device software think that the password ends the first weird character.  This problem could be either the iPad or the WRT.  My password has numbers, letters, and a hyphen, but that's all.  In particular, there are no spaces or periods.

  • WRT54GS Wireless Router recently started disconnecting Internet connection after 9 months

Hello, I have read some and see that it is a problem common but of are to be decided.

    I have a Lynksys WRT54GS with the latest Firmware update v7.2 27 July 2009 (FW_WRT54GSv7.2_7.2.07.013_EN_20090727)

I ran 2 desktop computers as well as my DVR security by the security cameras for remote monitoring, also portable hook upward wireless sometimes as well without any problem using this router for over 9 months now with no problems until the last few days... I never log out and leave it on 24/7 for 9 months without problem and now recently I had to pull on the power cord from the back of the router and reconnect it to re power on the router to establish an internet connection.

Now the last 3 days the router loses its internet connection each monutes a few... hours... the time it disconnects are random moments and I have the programs I need to run all day but can't because the router loses its connections...

I applied the firmware again... re factory - configure the router... rebooted the computer... tried cloning the MAC address... all seem to be doing nothing... the same problem still exists.

All of the minutes or hours so it disconnects the interent.

I ran the office computer directly to the DSL Modem and I'm online very well with a desktop computer without disconnections for hours and hours (18hrs to date is not a problem), so I know this isn't the access provider. I had this problem I believe before with a previous Lynksys router and then bought it and now after this short period it seems to do the same thing again with this one. What a pain in the but.

    All solutions and more...

    Re application firmware... then

factory re set the router... then

re - connect computers as if it were a new router... the MAC address cloning? Geezus... it must be one simple solution other then buy another brand router.

    Thanks in advance...

What is the IP address, find the modem directly...? Connect the computer directly to the modem and check the ip address? What is the ip address, you get the router...?

Try the following settings on the router and check the connection...

-Change the channel to 11-2 wireless, 462 GHz

-Under the Advance wireless settings tab, change the tag at 50, Fragmentation threshold to 2304, interval RTS threshold to 2304

  • Unable to connect to a network without wifi usp

Hi, I'm having a very bad time with my pc. It's lenovo3000 G430 and I got it to the Viet Nam about 8 months ago. The WiFi worked perfectly well in both countries up to 4 months when my pc gave me a big red X in the wireless connection icon. I tried to diagnose, but everything he says it is that I need to activate the switch in front of my pc, I've already done, but the light of network connection on the left side of the computer is not on. I tried to update my pc, but it did not work either, but when I connect to the internet using the cable is fine. Now I have to use Lynksys usp to go online, so I feel not really convenient because I can break the usp anytime. I can't bring back to the Viet Nam now, and every time I start the computer it asks me to activate so I'm really confused. Please give me some help on how to use the wifi without having to use the USP. I really appreciate it. Thank you very much!!!

Nevermind guys, I understand that. All I had to do is download the maps Intel Wireless WiFi Link and the the power management of this site. After I run the programs I just hit the Fn and F5 for about 5 seconds then the bluetooth and the wireless card incredibly appear. I am so excited that, after a long time now, I can live without the usp wireless. Thank you for reviewing my application. Have a great day!

  • Why all my programs won't connect to IP multicast addresses

The title says it pretty well.

Why do all my programs want to connect to the multicast IP, 224.0.0.252, 224.0.0.253, 239.192.152.143, 239.255.255.250 and my 169.168.1.1 router?

Solataire really needs to communicate with a group of PC?

I'm at home on my pc, win 7 x 64, hooked to a lynksys router. There is one other wired PC which is in fact a Media Player (using VLC and basic file sharing) in the living room and a laptop Wireless used a few hours a day, several days a week. All 3 have the MSE and Zone Alarm.

Can someone please explain to me why almost all the programs I run wants to connect to my router and all these multicast IP addresses?

I mean each program. Not the 1st time I run them. Later, at random times when I opened them, they try to access these ip addresses.

As someone that is marked as the answer, I'll answer and I hope not met too rude.

Houla, the simplicity of your answer tells me your not aware of what has already been discussed at this stage.

This is all irrelevant now anyway, given that the hard drive has been wiped, all likely to be involved possible malware disappeared.

I tried to use the printer setup wizard thing (temporarily connect a USB key), which is on the printer stop blue wireless light flashes, but still couldn't print. When I print a report out of print it directly, the "Configuration Summary" shows the outskirts name (SSID) and Netgear84 (my old router). Hey @dbot,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I understand that you have some problems with the printer all-in-one Deskjet 3050 connection to your new router. I can help you with that.

First of all, we will restore the default values of network on the printer. To do:

Remove the USB cable to the back of the printer.

On the printer, press the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.

Click on the white button next to settings.
Click on the white button next to default settings.

If there is a screen asking you to confirm, then press the white button next Yes. Blue wireless light should turn off.

Now on your PC we will uninstall all software associated with the printer.

Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

Once installation is complete, you should have the printer connected to your wireless network.

Please let me know if this solves your problem or if you have any other questions. If not, have a great weekend!

  • PC will not stay connected to the Internet in the evening.

(Moderator note: title was "network programs network networking Internet Web site Site Web Web Site URL")

My Dell laptop that was purchased in March, 2012, had no problems to connect to the internet until recently.  Now it connects the morning, but stop connection from about 18:00.  Why is happening.  My router is Lynksys.

    Margaret,

I guess that your laptop will connect to your wireless router.

If your laptop loses connectivity each day at roughly at the same time (18:00), then the problem could be due to the interference of the networks your neighbor's wireless.

There is a setting in your router for the channel to use for traffic wireless (channel 0 to 11).

If you can find this setting, then change it. The best channels to use (with less interference) are 0, 6, and 11. Your router is probably set to one of these three (but can be assigned to any channel between 0 and 11). Change the string parameter (and try 0, 6 or 11... that we're different from the one that is currently in your router).

If you can't control the settings of your router, try to do a google search on the brand of your router (linksys), model and word settings... you should be able to find a description on how to change the settings.

If you want to get into more technical details, use the free utility called inSSIDer... it can be used to see exactly what interference your wireless router is your neighbors... to help see you in the selection of a channel which is not used by your neighbors.

Me too, I unfortunately have the same problem.

Installed a replacement wifi router and lost access to a NAS. And it is the only element that would not be re - connect...

It's the config probably simple setting of the wireless router with the IP Address of the NAS (10.1.10.199 if this is of any help), but it's clearly a mystery to find useful info on how and what to configure...

Unfortunately, it was easier under XP...

    Thanks for the research.

  • Help! No wireless connection

It's probably under the heading of stupid questions, but I need help to fill my wireless connection.

I had a Thinkpad for Christmas.  Already, I have a desktop and a laptop and use a Lynksys router.  I connect the office via the electrician and the laptop wireless.  I have had my Thinkpad 'connect' to the wireless router. In other words, it wll show a 'link' with the wireless router, I am able to turn on and off and use the appropriate security key to use my wireless signal.  However, there is no internet connection.  I just get a page showing no connection.  When I use an electrician directly from my modem to the Thinkpad, I have a connection.

I'm obviously a novice in computer science.  I'd appreciate any help.  Thank you.
