NY chance that your HARD drive is ST3750630AS? If so, it seems to be a result of the F/W issue.

    Hello

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

    ·         What exactly happens when you turn on the computer?

    ·         You get the error message?

If you are not able to boot in the BIOS there is a problem with the hardware. I suggest you contact the computer hardware manufacturing for this problem.

    Hello

I think we can exclude HARD disk failure because you are able to format it in another computer.
As you suggest the RAM modules has been replaced but the problem persists
So in my opinion, a motherboard problem would be possible

But as you know, it of really difficult to say what might be exactly wrong
I think that the technician should check the laptop then it would be possible to say what part is malfunctioning

In any case, I think a motherboard might be affected

Please use the Vista system repair and recovery forum to fix your departure upward.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-system?page=1&tab=all

Yes, as long as Vista is still installed on the hard drive you can use a copy of Windows 7 upgrade to upgrade your computer but you will need to boot the computer with the Windows 7 dvd and perform a custom installation.  Which will remove all your programs and data so there will be very practical backups.

The best option is to repair Vista first.

Before dismiss you the idea of buying a copy of the full license of Windows 7, remember that it would be transferable to a new computer much more easily that an upgrade copy is.

I go to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS, there is nothing for me to remove it.

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated...

    Hello yan_dao69,

I suggest that you try the methods below to solve the problem.

    Method 1:

I suggest that you run the printer troubleshooter. This will automatically diagnose and fix printing problems:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-printer-Troubleshooter

Ideally, this would set the print spooler service issues.

    Method 2:

I suggest that you disable the Antivirus software temporarily and verify if you are able to start the print spooler service. You can check the link that will give you information disable antivirus below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Please make sure that you enable the antivirus software after the test to keep your computer protected.

    Method 3:

Check the dependency of the spooler services in the registry.

    a. Click Start, type regedit in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. look for, and then click the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Spooler

    c. right-click on spooler, click Export, save a backup file on your desktop.

NOTE: If an unforeseen problem be encountered after changing the registry, please double-click on the file to restore the backup.

    d. in the details pane, if the DependOnService value shows values of RPCSS and other key, right-click DependOnService and then click on edit.

    e. in the value data box, delete the other keys and then click OK.

    f. exit the registry editor.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. My environment architecture for 12 c Cloud Control (used for the purpose of personal practice) can be explained as follows:

    @DBSERVER: (OEL6.5, x 86-64)

  • Vista does not start after BIOS flash

I recently flashed my BIOS for my Presario SR5152NX by Vista after having downloaded the file directly following from the HP site:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-66758-1&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&product=3436821&OS=2093&lang=en

He seemed fine, because he then asked me to restart my PC, I did.

When it restarts, BIOS seems to be fine but once, he's trying to get into windows Vista, it will NOT start, and instead, I get a BSOD with the following STOP error message:

    STOP: 0X0000007B (0XF789E640, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

I tried searching for this error, but I do not get a clear answer to what it means.

In addition, by choosing 'use last known Configuration' always produces the error, and I can't get in any security mode in the start menu.

I can't enter in Vista, please help.

I have solved my problem, but please keep this up for the other reference...

It turns out that the error has to do with a "BOOT DEVICE" error. Once I read that I feared it might be a faulty drive. This was not the case.

It seems that after the BIOS has been flashed, he changed the order of loading on my readers, and so it hurts than as a master. I guess expected Vista are on it and wrong. What I had to do was go in the motherboard configuration by pressing F10 on the diagnostic screen, and I had to spend my disk drive to configure the Vista disc as the main (has priority on the others), using the + and - keys on the numeric keypad.

EUREKA, now charge well Vista again and the BIOS is updated correctly.

  • Windows Vista does not start. I tried to run the Startup Repair tool and we have tried to select start Windows normally.

    original title: URGENT

How to start Windows Vista when 'Launch Startup Repair' or 'Start Windows normally' did not work? I want to avoid the deletion of my data.

    Hello

for starters, the info you received a DVD of windows 7 repair vista usage are BAD

you need a DVD vists or a vista Startup Repair disk repair vista

and you can NOT do a repair installation of booting from a DVD in vista

Repair facilities are on within an operating system

1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

If that does not read this information

the link below is how to download and get a vista disk startup repair, which you can start from the

  • Vista 64 Bit Home Premium does not start when a disc is in the optical drive

I tried to understand this for a long time, but I thought I might as well ask for help.  I use Vista 64 - bit Home Edition Premium and the problem I have is that I cannot restart my machine if a disc is in the optical drive. Specifically, if I have a DVD or Bluray disc in the optical drive (IE a BD - ROM drive). When I restart my computer and a disk is present, the startup process is going past the initial windows screen, but that's how far it goes. My desktop (I don't have a password to connect). Initially, I thought it was a matter of priority to boot but the boot process starts from the hard drive but stops at half way through. Then, I went into the BIOS and removed the optical drive completely from the boot priority list.  But there is no change in behavior. The process stops with the only thing visible on the splash screen is a black screen and the hard drive light flashes and goes out from time to time.  I use this computer as my Home Theater PC and sometimes I have to restart my machine when a movie DVD or a Bluray movie is in the optical drive. I would appreciate any response that can help me solve this problem...

    Thanks in advance...

There may be something wrong with the files on your hard disk.  We will try to update to see if it helps:

Do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not resolve the problem, try the following:

To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows RE. To do this, follow these steps (I believe you need a disc for Installation of Vista to do that, even if some Installtion OEM disc might work, but probably not all the recovery discs).

    1. put the Windows Vista installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.

    2. press a key when you are prompted.

    3. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.

    4. click on repair your computer.

    5. click on the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.

    6. in the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt.

    7. type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

Note If rebuilding the BCD does not resolve the startup problem, you can export and delete the BCD, and then run this option again. In doing so, you ensure that the BCD is completely rebuilt. To do this, type the following commands at the command prompt Windows RE:

    ·        bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup

    ·        c:

    ·        Boot CD

    ·        BCD attrib s h - r

    ·        Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old

    Bootrec /RebuildBcd

If this does not work, or if you do not have the disk, try EasyBCD http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 and see if that works and does everything well.  Make sure what you are doing or you could mess up your boot files and you'd be in a lot of trouble.

I don't know if the problem is even caused by startup files (but it is possible if it is not the BIOS), but you'd better check and if the procedures are followed to the letter as stated there is no harm in trying.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

Then he starts the scan and says that I must buy the full to get everything to work again. I closed everything, since I already have McAfee antivirus and internet security, but it does not, and neither did any other progams. I tried restarting in safe mode to restore a backup point, but Windows does not open in safe mode, rather stick for half an hour in the middle of loading. When I managed to start windows in normal mode, I found that all my past restore points had been erased.

This happened to someone else, and it is fixable without wiping everything?

    Thanks in advance,
    Emma

    Hi Emma,

This could be due to a virus on your computer.  Try to make a virus on your computer scan to check if your computer is infected.

    Acer Aspire E1 471. 8 64-bit Windows.

It does not seem to recognize any boot device.

    Already tried:

-F2 for configuration of the bios F9 to restore the default settings, F10 to save and exit and restart.

-boot from usb, dvd... the screen turns black after the screening.

-forcing safe mode or windows recovery screen (System Restore, auto repair, cmd, etc) the screen goes black, too and after about 20 minutes. the blue screen with the unhappy face appears (pc must be restarted)

    Any suggestions?

  • Windows XP does not start. Message says to remove the antivirus

Original title: could not start Windows XP with tips screen error to remove the anti-virus, Defragmenter and support utilities.  equipment checked 'pass '.  is not disk to start and save data files.

Cannot start Windows XP with tips screen error to remove the anti-virus, Defragmenter and support utilities.  equipment checked 'pass '.  is not disk to start and save data files.

my laptop is a COMPAQ Presario V2000 (p/n PV898AV) with the WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL product key:

Recently, I used a lot of Yahoo E-mail and made an email with an attachment that carries a local .org Logo and my personal autobiography for an education program.  WORD files can contain certain campaigns policy materials and opinions who are information news and views.  20.11.2011 when I turned on the computer, he had immediate control by NT. F flow and State on 'a problem' with files and folders, and there wasn't enough 'space' to correct the error.  Subsequently, an error screen appears alternating with the DISPLAY of COMMAND CHECK OS.  I tried F8, F10, F12 keys to do all that necessary. He kept going back to the SCREEN of COMMAND VERIFIER 0s.  Tried safe mode... and all the list.

The error on the technical information screen * arrested... some our I has not registered (help if I declare these figures?)

He said if power failure, restart your computer.  If the screen kept appearing, he said: Use CHKDSK /F to remove the antivirus... support... and defrag utilities.  check the configuration of the hard drive etc.   I have used Tools Setup F12 for self-test on hard, he said 'PASS '.

I don't have the Setup disk or checkdisk with me on this trip trip, it will be 5 months later to get there.   However, I just buy this mini laptop HP and take advantage of this great PC.  However, I miss the old one and want to save this data.

can I change the values of the ease of CONFIGURATION to start the Windows?   or, when I used the F10.., it runs the n... Open timeout (how to use it to help me remove the files/programs); safe mode with command prompt also failed.   What command line?

Please inform how to start the new WINDOWS XP that says to protect my files (I hate the overprotection in this area of the Hong KONG SAR but too pirates too, people are confused as ' ell) Thank YOU.

    Hi Cann2011,

You must have an installation disc. Until and unless that disk is not available, we cannot go further to fix the problem.

Once you organize for the disk, then you can see the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base and check.

How do I recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP startup

To do: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Need help! Does not start. Only get '_' in the upper left corner.

    Hi, have the following computer:

    HP-Pavilion model: KZ849AV-ABA s3500Z

    Running: win 8.1 (32B) 2G ram

Have not had any problems I know, so far.

    Run norton regularly, no problem.

Stop the machine to get out.  Returned, tuned back on and now will not start.

It lights up, passes in front of the screen for "F9" "F11", etc.

Then crashes on startup with a single "_" in the upper left corner.

    No beeps or error messages.

Have you tried several attempts to diff power off, unplug, etc..  Same results.

Have tried to interrupt the boot to make "diags", see the boot menu.  Everything seems fine, from what I can tell.

Don't know what else to do.

As mentioned, saw no problem before that to my knowledge.

It helps the tight connections and no keyboard activity.

Possible victory 8.1 automatic update when the last stop arrived.

Recovery disks, I did several months ago when I upgraded to OS to win 8.1

But I don't want to go down that path and reload everything.

Any ideas how to check the boot sectors, chkdsk, etc.. ???

    Thanks in advance,

Hi guys, thanks for all your comments.

    I managed to understand.

I used the 'flash' player who made victory - 8.1 you create during the installation of win - 8.1 fresh.

    It's like a recovery disk.

I started off of him and was able to use Diagnostics out of it to check the hard drive.

He said it was to fix hard drive errors, then restarted.  Got the same new cursor. Then run this process again.

Got mesg diff on the correction of hard disk errors, please wait.

It restarted again and is came fine.

Several reboots confirm the problem disappeared.

I think that probably the hard drive boot sector becomes corrupted.

I'll keep and eye to it and document, we had this problem with the machine.

Will chose to replace the hard drive or buy a new machine.  Which ever option the woman wants to take (his machine).

    Thanks for your comments.

PS You forgot to mention that I disassembled the machine and cleaned carefully.  Back together and restart with the same problem.  Then I did the above stuff.
