  Robin is quite right. Tecra S1 is a portable older and certainly not Vista supported. As you know just for laptop with Vista capable sticker are supported Vista and Toshiba offer a BIOS update to make it Vista ready.

  I recommend you to use Windows XP Home as before. Optimize Windows XP Home edition preinstalled and you will have very good performance on this laptop more old.

• Bluetooth error - Tecra M2 - ACPI device driver

  I have a Tecra M2 with Bluetooth, which never worked. When you try to activate it returns the error "could not open bluetooth ACPI (tosrfec.sys) device driver.

  By clicking new connection "device is not ready" is the error message.

  OK so I got this laptop a few months ago one decided to clean install windows 8 less the bloat-ware of Toshiba :)

  So I install my amd drivers chipset and graphics and wlan Bluetooth however when I run windows update it shows me a driver bluetooth acpi about 109 k of optional size sometimes on installing windows, it has been in the important section in any case more often than not, I get a failure to install from windows update and I was wondering if anybodt here knew what driver I needed outside support section the bluetooth stack?

  This utility of common Modules can be found on the European driver Toshiba page.
  Download and just install it again.

  But I wonder why you should install it after using the Toshiba Recovery CD?  :|
  The restore CD contains all the necessary drivers, so I think that this common modules must be installed. But who knows

  I upgraded from Windows 8 to 8.1 with Windows Update without problems or missing drivers.

  Later, I bought and downloaded Windows Pro 8.1 and burned the BONES on a DVD.  I have deleted all previous partitions and run the long version of the format of the hard drive.  Then I managed to do a clean installation of Windows Pro 8.1.  I had to reinstall drivers since the contents of the folder in C:\SWSetup saved from the previous operating system.

  I was not able to find the missing driver for hardware ID:

  ACPI\VEN_HPQ & DEV_0004
  ACPI\HPQ0004
  * HPQ0004

  Thank you for your time and your help.  However, this link to sp63786 would not install.  But your mention of HP 3D DriveGuard software installation was the key to me finding the right software/drivers.

  As I mentioned in my request for help, I tried again in the C:/SWSetup folder saved before reformatting the C drive.  I found the good HP 3D DriveGuard software in the subfolder "sp58423".  This installed perfectly and eliminated the unknown device message seen in Device Manager.  It is the solution.  For anyone buying Professional 8.1 Windows to install on a computer with Windows 8 or 8.1 pre-installed, let me point out to save C:/SWSetup and all of its subfolders.

  Thank you to put me on the right track to find my solution with HP 3D DriveGuard software!

  I did a fresh install of Windows 7 on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M83 (tiny, small form factor) desktop computer and I have an unknown device, I couldn't find the drivers in Device Manager. It's ACPI\LEN4002. Googling reference views embedded ThinkPad monitor which doesn't seem to be the right thing here. I already installed the chipset driver, the Intel haswell/vga driver, AMT, MEI, the Application Interface of Lenovo (LBAI, ACPI\LEN4001) driver is not driver Intel WIDI. Even if it is listed in the matrix of driver for this model, the thinking says that it is not compatible with this system.

  Someone has an idea of what device it?

  Found after downloading the pack from SCCM drivers for the model. LEN4002 is identified as the 'of Lenovo APS sensor application interface".

• Qosmio F30 and Vista - mode ATK100 ACPI Driver need

  I hope you can help me solve my problem. I ve installed Vista Home Premium on Qosmio F30 my friend (don t know for sure, but it's the model F30-100) and everything works great found nvidia drivers BT etc... but an error message keeps coming up when my screen shows: mode ACPI ATK100 driver...
  I tried to find a solution, but nothing seems to work...

  Help!

  I'm not quite sure what is the mode of ACPI ATK100 driver, need for, but I guess you can disable loading this driver in the msconfig or it could remove from the registry RUN m.
