  This is intentional and one of the new security features of Capitan E - the protection of the integrity of the system.  You may not modify the software system, even as an administrator.

  Photos is installed as an essential part of the system and not a separate application. To be able to uninstall it you have to disable the protection of the integrity of the system by booting into recovery. Not a good idea.

  Try to ignore the pictures. You don't have to respond to the surprise guests.

  You can assign Photos to a separate office you never look to make it out of the way.

  I had the same problem, but with Firefox 4.0. My first thought was last updated to Firefox (after of course restarting FF), but it did not help and I had the same problem.

  Among others, I had an extension installed and enabled called tile tabs 4.10 I thought could easily create this problem. I went in my Add-ons Manager and disabled, restarted Firefox and tabs worked properly again. Unfortunately, the extension of the tile tabs is my favorite Firefox Add-on and I use it almost every day to manage my web tasks. I went to the page Add on for tile tabs and saw that there was a notice that version 4.10 did not work properly on Mac OS and install version 4.9 of the extension.   After the update on the Mac os 10.9.2 side April - I open Pagemaker and my system crashed after talking with Apple, I had to erase everything on my hard drive.  I finally got it fixed and re-installed pagemaker cs5 and some other programs I HAD while I was on vacation.  When I got home, I tried to install CC as well as various programs (pagemaker, indesign, photoshop, etc.) Had to erase all the other adobe programs and start from scratch.  Whenever I open ANY adobe products all my "white space" is pink and striped of white vertical in EACH program. Apple mail, contacts, etc.  If I completely shut down the computer and restart everything goes well until I opened an adobe product again.  I can't get help from Adobe, does anyone have suggestions until I cancel my subscription entirely?

  Another thing that you could probably who can reproduce these lines without an Adobe application is select a HD video file that you have on your system and hit QuickLook (overview of the space bar) so it loads up in the preview of the Quicktime player - which should cause your system to crash too.

  Avoid erase / format your entire drive often - it would cause your hard drive to become unstable over time.

  Documents are also in your folder on the drive on your Mac iCloud.

  Just disable iCloud drive in iCloud preferences.

  Then go icloud.com and connect, then you remove the files on disc to iCloud.
