Mac: no PDFMaker, so impression of Word to PDF has inactive links
I wrote a fabulous document in Microsoft Word, which has the numbering of paragraphs, and many "insert > reference...' links in paragraphs." And it contains a lot of ' insert > hyperlink...' links to external documents. It's fabulous.
If I saved it as a PDF using a Windows machine, these links would function in the PDF file. Clicking on a reference would jump. by clicking on an external link would command the default browser to do the most obvious thing. Hooray!
But on the Mac, external links are not there. Not if I do "Save as PDF...". ', or if I do it via Adobe Acrobat XI with "Save as Adobe PDF".
If the link text is " " http://... " then drive PDF Devine there is a link, and it works. But if ordinary words have been transformed into a link, it is formatted like a link but it's inactive.
Please, how Adobe persuade to release PDFMaker for Mac? Or otherwise to do this work? (Adobe Acrobat XI: help and tutorials (September 2013), on page 46: "PDFMaker is not available for Mac OS.) However, you can still create a PDF of many business applications using the file > print command. In the print dialog box, choose menu, save the PDF AsAdobe PDF file. »)
FYI, I also asked this issue on the Microsoft side, but other than to discover that PDFMaker solve my problem, if it existed for Mac, which did not help.

Convert Word to PDF, do not link web addresses
I'm trying to convert a word doc into a PDF using Acrobat Standard XI. The word doc has a hyperlink in one place and a web address typed in another place. The goal I'm looking for is to have the hyperlink carried over to the pdf and typed on this web address is non-interactive. The hyperlink is, but him typed web address is also hyperlinked, but without the box of a hyperlink. How can I get the pdf file to not connect not typed web address? There is no hyperlink box to remove.

It is a setting of the application. You can disable under Edition - Preferences - general - create links from URLS.

Loss of links HTML and Word to PDF conversion
Hi, when I convert a Web page or a word to PDF document, the links show as blue underlined fonts, but the URL is missing, and so the link is not active. I checked that "add links" is checked in my conversion settings. The same thing happens when I print to Adobe PDF, or when I select the menu "convert to PDF".
I use Adobe Pro X and Word 2003. My OS is Windows XP. Any advice would be appreciated.

First of all, by using the Adobe PDF printer to create PDF won't get you links.
Second, try to drag your HTML files directly in Acrobat to see what is happening. If you aren't yet getting links then I would repair or reinstall Acrobat X

Acrobat pdfmaker com addin for word 2010 crashes when processing large files
I try to use pdfmaker com plugin for word 2010 to create a PDF document. Whenever I have try and create the document, the addin acrobat crashes Word.
I tried to do this on x 86 and x 64 machine and it failed twice at around the point about even (during/immediately after determining the bookmarks).
The document is large (862 pages, 2425 bookmarks, 311 300 DPI graphic, for a total size of the 49.2MiB file)
I can generate the PDF by printing only, but the question of the use of the pdfmaker is so that we will not have to perform 2.5 K manual reticulations.

It seems that the problem has been resolved with an update; I do experience is no longer the question (I tried several times on different machines). I have listed the current versions of the applications below for reference.

Police corrupt Mac OS 10.6.7 on export of Word to PDF

I have a library of Word documents that use our company cast: Officina Sans ITC Pro book. I've saved these in PDF using Word for Mac and the opening in Acrobat 9 Pro, without any difficulty.
Today, however, then Word will export and create the PDF. When the PDF file is opened in Acrobat, it comes empty and crashes Acrobat. I tried to export from Word to PostScript, but it does not work: "stack: / police-dict-/ ZCYKUX + OfficinaSansITCPro-Book."
The police is avialable on Mac. I validated the police and using font Finagler I cleared the cache. All this without success.
A pointer is six additional numbers in the newspaper of the PS, which lies before the name of the font.
Anyone got any ideas on how to solve the problem and start export cleanly from Word to PDF?

I'd be willing to bet that without ITC officina is a PostScript OpenType font. Upgrading to Mac OS X 10.6.7 introduced a bug that affects applications like Word that depend on the capability of native Mac OS x to create PDFs and print. It seems to happen only with OpenType PostScript fonts.
The bug is well documented in this article:

Workarounds: backup until 10.6.6 or by using a different font.

Microsoft Word with PDF Mac OS problem
Using Word from Office 2011 under Snow Leopard, if I use normal ' Print > save as PDF "quit the done resultant PDF my shot of Acrobat 9 Pro and I have to force. Save the files .doc format makes no difference. I did not have this problem with Office 2004 and Snow Leopard.
If instead I opened the PDF in preview, then run ' Print > save as Adobe PDF "file will work in Acrobat 9"
Excel produced a PDF work via the ' Print > save as PDF' route as mail.

I think it's because your Adobe 9 did very perfectly compatible with office 2011.
In the case, try some Word to PDF converter.

How do you save the PDF file of the word? What app shows the PDF?
' File > save as... "choose the PDF format. This method keeps links when the PDF file is displayed in the preview. It is in an earlier version of Word (v 12.3.6).
You may be ' file > duplicate ' & then save the file in PDF format in the new version of Word, or try holding alt (alias 'option') on the file menu, an option "save under...". "may appear.

Hello. I use a mac and when I save a word unique to PDF doc using the printing options, I find myself with 3 pdf documents. What can I do? It seems that a large table on one page (which is set in landscape mode) separates from the file. i.e. it records everything that preceded the landscape page as a doc, lansdscape as another page and then everything after this page as a third doc.

If you have a Page or Section, and if any section breaks contain rocker also breaks in the Orientation of the Page there was a given that it will happen.
MS got so tired at Adobe drags feet fix this problem that they have added a PDF converter that treat Page break problems and rehab section break problems except when page from Portrait to landscape. He made his debut in 2008 of the Office. But which has since been incorporated in 2004 UNRWA through updates. They have installed a Word directly to PDF Converter. Simply, go to SAVE as... from the file menu. Scroll the list of conversion type. until you see the PDF. Choose PDF and it 'should' create your document very well.
It is a case where Adobe or Microsoft will admit to a bug. Its kinda like the old chex cereal commercial. "I don't like, eat you. NO, I don't like it eat you. Instead of fixing the problem they have let go almost 20 years now. Adobe swear and if they could just could include Word and excel Page Code and Section Orientation and page breaks.
Microsoft has created there own converter to PDF in Office 2008, you will save under... and in the scrolling list click on PDF. Its also been introduced in 2004 in a few updates. Even he can't fix the problem if you have section breaks with the Page (from Portrait to landscape) orientation changes
If you can not or does not update do the following:
Open the first part of PDF
go to the Documents Menu
Select Insert Page scroll down to the end of the document, and then choose Insert at the end of the page. Choose the desired in the insert PDF.
Repeat the above with the third party.
It's easy, with only your 3 page document. But gets old fast, if you have a Document with a lot of page breaks or a 500 page section.

My computer crashed and I had to run the recovery disk, the repair option, so he could run again. It does not format my computer but I had to re - install several programs. I would like to just say thank you for your help and the problem is now solved. In the end I paid someone to sort it out. He explained that it was something like permissions for some of my files were owned by my old operating system and after that my computer crashed and I had to put through the recovery disc these permissions have been lost. He told me that he had a program that looked for the old existing and re-installed.

I noticed that you are not able to print PDF or MS Word files. I recommend that you first update Adobe if you have not already.
- Open Acrobat or Reader.
- Select help - search for updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
- Once installed, you can restart a computer.
- Then try to print the PDF file.

Since I load Acrobat Reader DC, when I try to save the document, word to PDF, the pdf file pages are cut on the width. I use Microsoft Office Word 2007 and I have no problem with the previous version of Adobe Reader. Should what settings I adjust?
