I got mine to work great by forcing it to use the following printer driver:

HP Deskjet 3822 - Gutenprint v5.2.3

FYI, I'm using an iMac 2.8 C2D, 4 GB of RAM OS X 10.6 and a printer HP Deskjet 5150 on USB

I'm under Fusionware version 1.1.3 of the virtual machine with Windows XP as the host operating system.

Could upgrade to Version 2.0.5 of VM Fusionware help or y at - it another way to solve this problem and avoid the loss of data / program files?

Thanks a lot for your help

I think 2.0.5 is the first version to offer support for Snow Leopard (ie. This is the first that works) but support is still experimental (that is to say you might have some problems)

I therefore move to 2.0.5 and see how you go, you certainly won't get a 1.x version to work.

  • Compatibility between earlier versions of InDesign with Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard

More than 5 years, I've used my saved version of Indesign 2.0 with happiness to produce and update my two self-published books (I love it!), only to find out recently that my upgrade to Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) on my bicoeur ID 2.0 actually rendered MacMini Intel inmpatible. Ouch!

Alas, purchase ID 5.5 is too expensive for my budget, leaving me with an offer for $49 / mo (great idea, Adobe!) or purchase register-able older worm. which is compatible and which I can then upgrade. Adobe told me ID CS2 qualifies for the upgrade, but got contradictory answers as to which is the oldest OS 10.6-compatible ID worm. An associated designer told me she has ID CS2 works great on his MacBook with OS10.6. Any advice much appreciated. Thank you!

CS3 and later should work fine.

  • MAC snow leopard - CS5 with any update: extensions Manager seems to do nothing

I have my macbook pro with snow leopard.  CS5 update to the current... I have a mxp file... I click on it... Manager ext. monte on the tool bar... but nothing else... nothing in the window... just to be sure, I downloaded again the Manager of the position (CS5.0)... same thing... nothing.  I click on ANY station MANAGER and nothing shows.

Suggestions?   I want to get this mxp file to work.

    Thank you, - bill

    1. delete all files under "/Users/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player / # Security/FlashPlayerTrust / '.

    2. If step 1 does not work, please delete "/Users/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Extension Manager CS5/exman_uiPreferences.xml.

    3. If step 2 does not work, please run command in terminal: sudo "/ Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS5/Adobe Extension Manager CS5.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Extension Manager CS5»

    4. If step 3 does not work, please create a file named "ExManLog.YES" under "/ CS5.app/Contents/MacOS/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS5/Adobe Extension Manager", then launch the extension manager. You will get logs «/Users/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CS5» Please provide the log files for troubleshooting.

  • Photosmart Premium Fax all-in - One Printer - C309a will print on Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard

I downloaded the latest drivers from HP driver downloads, connected the printer using USB and installed the software.

Whenever I try to print as a document of the text of the e-mail etc after a second a red mark appears on the printer icon in the dock.

When I open the printer utility reads the printer is paused and the document is displayed in the queue, I click the button back light on icon turns green, and then it goes again to the red.

I remove the file from the queue and try again, but still the same thing happens.

I tried scanning the documents and that works very well, the installation of fax software program and who ran a test that was fine, it prints, it will not be printed on a cd either, I use the software printer comes with Roxio Toast, once I had installed the printer software I ran the update of Mac util software and enabled him to install an update He finds, but still does not print.

Any help would be appreciated please.

No, it does not include one application scan, other than that I can scan from the printer using the preview and now the Image capture, so that's something.

  • Invisible text in Flash Player Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard

Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, I had problems with invisible text in Safari and Firefox on pages that use Flash Player.

    Here's what I know:

They are always in Flash, but not all of the text is invisible.
I created a new user account, and there is no problem.
I use the latest version of Flash.
I installed all the updates that are available from Apple.
Text does not appear in Firefox or Safari, so it is not only a problem of Safari, but seems to be a problem with Flash.

Here's what I did to try to resolve the problem:

Book fonts used to check all the fonts and to remove duplicate fonts installed by Snow Leopard.
Font book allows to disable the user fonts, since there were no problems with the other user account.
    Reinstalled Flash (several times).

Used the Flash uninstall program and then reinstalled.
Fix the permissions on the disk.
You discover a problem with iWork, so I reinstalled iWork (although I was not having a problem here).

Here is a screenshot.  It is the page Google stock. The small boxes along the lower right part of the chart are supposed to have letters that correspond to the links to the right of the graph. These appear in the other user account, but not in Safari or FireFox.

    <img src="http://homepage.mac.com/abramr/FlashInvisibleFonts.png"/>

So, now what? Is there a plist or something I can delete to Adobe Flash Player? If there is a problem with a different user account, what should I do? Can I somehow easily move all my stuff (documents, photos, music, etc.) to the new user account and then delete the old root user account?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
    Rob

I was able to solve the problem in my case.  I removed the fonts in the following folder:

~/Library/fonts (where ~ is your username)

RELOADED Safari and it worked fine.  I think that the fonts in the user folder were in conflict with fonts in the main folder in the upper part of the repertoire of the library.

  • F380 &amp; Snow Leopard work together for me

I've just upgraded to Snow Leopard (OS x 10.6.3) and have only been able to print a text file. Before and after that once I get the following message appears in the status area:

    "ERROR: / system/library/Printers/Libraries/PrintJobMgr/happy/MacOS/PrintJobMgr_failed.

I tried downloading the driver of HP and still have the same problem.

From what I read here, I should remove the folder of the Application HP and OSX will do my printing and scanning without HP utility. Is this correct?

The printer worked fine for several years under Tiger.

Uninstall HP 10.5, but in this special way:

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Now run a software update.

Then, remove and reinstall the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax.

You do not have the software now since Snow Leopard as well print & scan drivers built-in. scan from Preview apps or Image Capture. Scan from the front panel of the printer does not work yet.

  • Problem printing with HP Deskjet 5150

Hello, I have a problem with my HP Deskjet 5150 color inkjet printer. A few months ago, I noticed that all the documents I want to print are printed with the left margin of the page wider than the right margin; Instead, both margins have the same width. This question concerns the documents in general, and not of documents printed with a specific software only.
All computers that use the printer have Windows 7 as operating system. I tried to install the drivers of online support for the transition from Windows Vista to Windows 7, but the problem remains.

    What can I do?

    Thank you.

    Hi andrewshort94,

    Thank you very much!

With this, it is certainly a problem with the hardware of the printer, and because all computers are Windows 7, there is no HP software to try other things.

You need a Windows XP computer to install this printer to be able to access the HP Toolbox to perform alignment and things of this nature, as it was the last operating system supported the full features software. If you do not have access to a Windows XP computer, I might suggest that you start looking in getting another printer. You can call the HP Technical Support and inquire about trade and commerce program to see what kind of offers they have for you

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • LR 3.2, the Mac Pro and the snow leopard, it's impossible to choose locations of storage-catalogue now?

Sorry if cela a detachment to repeat ad nauseam, but I did a search and found solutions to Win7 only, so this is:

I just got my new Mac Pro all together towards the top, and when I went from LR 3.2 Prefs and the catalog settings I see more a choice on where I can keep all my .lrcat files.  On my G5, I used one of my external drives for all of my Lightroom catalogs and always want to use the same folder, so I don't keep loading my system drive > users folder where LR seems to want to put the cats.  Can we not choose the location most?  I hope that's not true.

Why do you prefer? Lrcat file is simply stored where you indicate he should go when you create a new. It can be anywhere as long as it is not a network drive. You get just a standard file browser dialog that you can point to anywhere that you want.

  • HP Photosmart Premium c309a doesn't fully work with Snow leopard 10.6.1

I don't see any answers in the Forum on my printer model, so here goes-

The printer is configured for a wireless connection.

Cannot get IPhoto to print on a photo plate, no matter how I play with the settings in the Menu print.  However, using the keypad of the printer, I can print from the photo tray color photos using a flash drive.

IPhoto and other apps, IWork 09 and ILife 09 will print to main paper tray, but not in color.

Using the keypad of the printer, I can copy and print from the glass in BW and color.

Cannot use Scan function Scanpro HP or the Device Manager, but can scan and print photo tray and main tray (but no computer or a drive - error message says no link found.

All reports - network wireless, Network Configuration, Fax, printer status, test and HP homepage, say all right.

I used suggestions from HP website without result, and the very nice fellow HP Chat Line, Manuel, told me in English that I have to contact MicroSoft for help.   I found a Web page apparently new to Mac users (HP printing from a Macintosh 10.5) and HP Mac-connect, but they do not seem to be updated for Snow Leopard.

I have reinstalled Snow Leopard, nothing helps.  I also tried the suggestion of Forum to use the option installs on my Snow Leopard disc, but when I go through the steps and software options are listed, the printer list shows zero KB and the 'Continue' button is grayed out.  No help there.

I also used most often suggestions - unplug the printer, restart the computer, etc, nothing works.

HP is still working for the full feature software and driver for C309a compatible with Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard). You can check on the HP Web site for updates. What you have there is just the base driver which is preinstalled on your pc.
