  Thanks for the reply. I'll send you the newspapers then.  Looks like I was wrong - it was 3.2 Prelude (2014.2) all along.

  However, the story seems to resolve itself. Prelude is now working well. Maybe the update to OS X 10.10.2 corrected, as seems to be one of the main differences between then and today.

• After the restoration of an iMac from Time Machine Illustrator CC 2014 hangs at startup. Uninstalled and reinstalled using Creative Cloud icon in the menu bar, same result.

  I had to restore my end 2013 27 "iMac Time Machine after one of my mac mail application has become corrupted. After restoring Illustrator CC 2014 has tried to start, the start screen was for a few seconds then I got this error message and the program crashed: operation fails due to an unknown error. [IMPORTANT]

  I uninstalled Illustrator using the uninstall application in the main folder, then reinstalled Illustrator CC 2014 using the creative cloud icon in my menu bar. After the reinstallation is the same thing with the same error. I am running Yosemite 10.10.1. Illustrator ran fine before the system restore. Photoshop and InDesign CC 2014 start very well.

  I'd appreciate any help you can give me. I tried to discuss with Adobe, but the cat was not available.

  You could try to reinstall using step three way:

  Uninstall, run the cleanup tool and reinstall.

  Strange things can persist without the used cleaning tool.

  I use Skype 5.8.0.865 on a MacBook Air OS 10.7.4. Skype constantly crashes at startup.

  I would post the details, but the number of characters exceeds the limit for this forum.

  1. download the latest version of Skype, currently 5.8.0.945

  2. close Skype if being of execution

  3. open the Finder window, then click on the Option go to reveal the library user

  4. open the Application Support folder and delete the Skype folder that contains the history of pref and cat. Delete the copy of Skype app updated.

  5 reinstall the new copy of Skype and you should be able to run again. It worked for me.

  I have a problem with InDesign on Mac OSX 10.9.3 CS6 and I'm really desperate now...

  I installed the CS6 Master Collection a few days ago... all programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects TE) work well, but InDesign does not work.

  I crashes at startup. Nothing seems to work. I have Mac OSX 10.8.5 Mountain Lion. It crashes several times. Any ideas or suggestions? I have to do.

• Scanner HP hangs while loading, Mac OSX Lion

  Some time, I've upgraded to the new Mac operating system and scanning HP began to simply crash at startup.  I tried waiting a long period never came to see if an update would come to my computer that could solve the problem, but nothing.  I waited for the next upgrade Mac OSX, and with Mountain Lion here still does not work.  I tried to find the drivers so I could remove and reinstall them using, but drivers HP page she finished with just a message saying something to the effect of "these updates come to you automatically through a software update...". ".  I can't believe that HP gave this device and it not support.  I just got an update for it through the normal OS update, but it still broken.  If I try to use Image Capture (de facto under Mac OSX program) he struggles to do the scan, or I would just use it.

  Illustrator CS6 (and beyond) do not support the Freehand files. You have earlier versions of Illustrator AI CS4, CS5 AI or AI CS5.1 like to open Freehand files.

  Suddenly, many of my Adobe applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, first, InDesign, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Fireworks) hang at startup. Some go beyond the start screen and show the gui, but hangs then on it, some never show anything other than bumping icon in the taskbar. It is interesting to Lightroom works. Acrobat works initially, but later crashes. Small tools are ok (Distiller, Content Viewer, Widget Browser, Media Encoder)

  Resettlement has not worked. Removal of the configuration (~/Library/Preferences/Adobe) has failed. I guess it must be something that is common to large applications. But what?

  Is there a quick way to uninstall everything at once?

  Any quick help is very appreciated.

  Edit: Completely reinstall all applications adobe has helped.

  Thanks for letting us know that reinstall applications helped as this seemed to be a problem with some files or preferences corupt.

  • On your Mac, open Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application and go to applications.

  Try disabling hide MenuBar in your system prefs - which seems to be a trigger for crash at startup in El Capitan...

I am now under Maverick Mac OSX 10.9.1 and have major problems with sizing of text in windows and windows suddenly change size (much smaller) and jump on the left side of my desk.   I often use a special paper with the sticker from the postage label. The paper size is (l) 153mm (h) x 297mm. I set the special size in the layout with a new parameter.

  Now, when I print the page by Illustrator or other SWs, the printer show me on the LCD the following alert: "the printer cannot print because the page size is different by size of page checked sensors!"

  But if I set the printer layout in A5 format, the printer get the impression quite rightly!

  I understand your photos that you use Airprint to install the software and drivers and you need to use the HP software.

  Add the printer to the system preferences, print and Scan

  1. Click on the Apple icon > System Preferences > print and scan.
  2. Click on the small symbol.
  3. Select Add another printer or Scanner

  

  4. Select the printer you are adding and next to the 'use' to choose the printer driver.  You will find Airprint is selected by default, click Airprint to open the drop-down list and choose your driver.

  

  You should now have the HP software installed.
