MAC PRO CONNECTION ISSUES NOT IDENTIFIED

So, I had serious problems with lag (ping spikes connection) on my computer.

I use Mac Pro (mid-2010), and I used the 'ping - i.2 192.168.0.1 sudo"command in a terminal to monitor my ping. My ping stays constant at 1ms - 3ms, but always rises to 100ms to 200ms every 6 to 15 seconds. And these "spikes" happens literally every 6 to 15 seconds, but it's not crazy to ping 1000 or even above.

The difference strikes me much since I play overall infringement of counter-strike on mac, which the PPE ping can be clearly felt.

The strange thing is that I'm not under any program that downloads or downloads and the offset ONLY HAPPENS in THIS COMPUTER SPECIFIC. The offset can't on my laptop and all. What is going on? My speculation on this issue is probably my computer seems to be sending files or signals a, and that's when the ping comes up, but I just can't understand what is happening.

The connection USED TO BE FINE. Is this a problem with features hidden in my mac network or what? I was about to try to disable the SSDP service, which seemed to be the cause of the delay of a few of my friends, but I don't know how, since her pimp.

Any help would be really really really appreciated.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It is unlikely to solve your problem. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

The test is intended to determine if the problem is caused by a third-party software that loads automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you usually connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of the test.

    Hello

I recently bought a Mac Pro and I am trying to transfer files from my hard drive mini 1 TB of G technology itself. The files came from a backup who was recently transferred to my 2011 macbook pro. I tried using cord USB 3.0 for the Mac Pro doesn't have a firewire plugs, but it does not recognize my hard drive. The hard drive is not showing any signs of work because I don't hear the fans turn on the player. The hard drive connects perfectly to my macbook pro via firewire, so should I buy a bolt of lightning for this firewire adapter? I really hope that I don't need to buy a new external, but I'd love to hear a few options for this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

May be that the USB port does not provide enough power. Sabrina drve is provided with a plug that allows to connect a plug to an AC wall power supply.

  • Mac pro, USB keyboard not recognized at startup

my mac pro (trash) is a wonderful device. Lately, however, it does not recognize a keyboard plugged in USB to start.

I am at a loss to explain it. I need help.  Advice, anecdotes, guess wild welcome.

    my setup is like this:

    CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT

    Monitor 27 "Apple (hub)

    Extended keyboard Apple USB

USB hub (USB2, apparently, that was not what I paid for)

    Wacom Tablet

Logitec mouse (no driver installed, Logitech *, but the mouse is great he is 15 years old)

    charger for Iphone

    beats headphones cable

    iMic USB audio

The question seems to have started just after I took my computer to the site, when that happens, I use a keyboard and bluetooth mouse. I immediately told my mac to forget the keyboard and the mouse after bringing it back to the House. didn't let it go, there is no moments where he had 'speed' of any kind. Based on my experience, your extended keyboard usb from Apple is the oldest plastic or the most recent aluminium? Based on which you have a branch above Apple usb extension cable. Anyway look at the end of the cable usb and it is most likely has that match unusual for her, this little triangle. It can fit on the Mac Pro USB, but can be a little bit loose as an adjustment. If you use a newer Apple usb extension on the older plastic Apple usb keyboard, this isn't a good fit. If you use the old extension of usb Apple on the most recent alum Apple keyboard, which is not a good fit.

So low line trying to look at the adjustment of the end of the usb in the Mac Pro or hub or ver, you connect to. I got this problem which caused two problems: I was using the older usb Apple with the new Apple alum keyboard extension cable.

    1. frequently the keyboard did not react, looked dead

2 - beta install for starting seeds would start on the hard drive to complete the installation.

Given that I have "corrected" the usb extension appropriate keyboard usb Apple alum both problems went away.

  • Mac Pro 2009 will not start, no edge

On Thursday, June 16, I sat to use my Mac Pro early 2009. I noticed that my Mac would not wake up by mouse click or the SPACEBAR on the keyboard. The led on my Mac, so I immediately thought that it was a problem with the graphics card.

I force shut down the Mac by holding the power button. I waited 10 seconds and turned on my Mac back, everything was fine and I worked on my Mac for 3 hours.

Last night 18 June I sat watching television when I heard the ringtone on my Mac Pro, I realized was a reboot. I went to the wire and connected and everything seemed fine. However later in the evening, I noticed a flashing LED on one of my two monitors. Once the Mac was on (fans spinning) but no signal to the monitor.

I made another force off now the power button on Mac, but now when turn on the Mac there is no boot chime or control signal.

I upgraded the graphics card to an AMD Radeon Sapphire HD 7950 in April 2013.

Any advice would be much appreciated as I'm in the middle of a big project.

Could also be a Mac Pro RAM chip inyour failure, sounds almost identical to a question I've had recently, I found the missing question when I removed the memory card.

If one of the pair of cards, you will need to remove two cards.

Try taking the memory OUT n test each module one at a time. Also check RAM editing maps, if none of the four lights on the two cards is turned on it idicates a defective module.

  • Problem with Dell P2715Q and Mac Pro connection

I have a Mac Pro 2013 with AMD 500, 64 GB RAM graphic card.  I just bought a pair of monitors Dell P2715 Q 4 K after using my 30 "Apple Cinema Display for many years.  Monitors properly function while I actually use and I can manually put the system to sleep (using the option-command-eject) and I'm able to wake the system by pressing the keys on the keyboard.  They work in 60 Hz mode UHD (3840 x 2160) and are connected with the display port (Thunderbolt) mini display port cables with that monitors came.  They are connected to two of the three bus TB. The problem is that when I restart the computer (or stop and start up), the monitors will automatically in their 'power save mode', and the Mac Pro does not seem to recognize that they are there, trendy, so I get two blank screens... no way to connect, because there is no current login screen.  The only way I can actually connect and begin using the computer is to connect an old 23 "Cinema Display, connect, and then connect the two valleys and unplug the 23". Yes, I can leave the computer and he just put the system to sleep, but when I need to close for a software update or the failure, I won't have to drag another monitor comes to start using the Mac Pro.  I have 27 days to return if necessary Dells.  Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

That Mac has made recognition of the display for a long time consists of sending a query to display at certain times, by asking, "what is your name, and what are your skills? If these screens are asleep, they fail, and then they stay dark.

    These times are:

    shortly after the market.

    upon awakening from sleep

When inserting the cable end Mac

Since the Option-(detect poster) button in the display panel.

Perhaps there is another way, you can arrange to have the display be awake when the Mac it sends the request?

  • Mac Pro (2013) will not wake up from sleep after that put 10.11.2 up-to-date

    Problem:

After that Mac Pro goes to sleep, keyboard and mouse enter don't wake him. Disconnect and reconnect the monitor will not help either. Unplug the monitor wouldn't be helped either. Hotkeys to stop will not help either. (I use Mac since 1986, so I know more tricks). The only thing I can do to start to use my Mac is again holding down the button of physical power for five seconds and make a hard stop.

    Background:

It is a problem that sometimes in the past. However, it is not reproducible and usually one of the steps above might work, such that unplug the monitor (a Dell 4 K 27 ") of the power supply and then plugging.

I use physically connected (USB) keyboard and mouse.

    Current state:

After the 10.11.2 system update last night, my Mac Pro shows this problem every time he sleeps.

He has already hit a critical delivery photography and currently affects a submission of work for the city.

    This is urgent.

Other users have reported the same problem after 10.11.2. I've not seen a solution

  • Mac Pro-connect on two private subnets

CNA Pro... running Leopard OSX 10.5,5 with 8Gig memory on-board.

Running VMWare Fusion 2 with update.

Need to run across two private subnets...

192.168.1.xx (en1) static The IP address defined for comments that XP Professional will host a few apps like Autocad and Mathcad etc must log on Win2k domain as well...

These are statically assigned IP addresses , as they will be all the time, persistent connections.

Added 'second virtual network' adapter... both the value "bridged mode".

Have tried the 'bridge' mode to try to achieve connectivity direct en1 interface across XP Pro. assign a static IP "virtual adapter 2 '...

(Checked that this scenario seems to work very well on an iMAC, I place last week... opens a session on the Win2K domain... everything works but only single NIC)

Dave Parsons excellent scripts have tried... VMWare should give the guy a medal! hire a consultant at the same time.

I have a little more Mac Pro to put in place...

    Question...

How can I configure vmnet 0, 1 and 8 to work correctly with en1 in bridged mode, if it isn't the right strategy?

So if I want to add an other "guest" for example machine Linux how could I get it to connect properly on to en0?

My apologies if this question may seem simple. Just think VMWare should be a simple and easy task...

Could do the same thing with routers Cisco/ACL etc., then fill the two subnets with material, but that's not the point is it!

Any assistance received with gratitude and once more a big thank you to Dave Parsons and everyone that make VMWare a "pleasant" experience

FWIW, I have no problem to use VM@Work Tokamak 2.0.0 to fill two different virtual networks for the 2 network cards physical on my Mac which are on different subnets and have connectivity across two subnets of in Virtual Machines.

It sounds like you haven't read fully the 'Tokamak.pdf VM@Work' in the or the document Advanced Networking Configuration - Tokamak Networking Scripts for VMware Fusion .  The reason I say it's you haven't mentioned nowhere in this thread that you have changed the configuration the target Virtual Machine's .vmx file to support the changes you made to the virtual network using VM@Work Tokamak 2.0.0 VMware.

In other words do you have added/changed the .vmx as well? (See 4.0 change comments VMX file in the documentation.)

    Convention:

    .gift Ethernet (n) = 'TRUE '.

    Ethernet (n) .connectionType = "custom".

    Ethernet (n) .vnet = 'VMnet (n).

    Example:

    ethernet0. Present = 'TRUE '.

    ethernet0. ConnectionType = "custom".

    ethernet0.VNET = "VMnet0.

    Ethernet1. Present = 'TRUE '.

    Ethernet1. ConnectionType = "custom".

    Ethernet1.VNET = "VMnet2.

If you have done this then in order to resolve this problem you must validate out ifconfig from the Host and ifconfig or ipconfig/all (depending on guest operating system) out of comments and the .vmx config file target VMS to begin with. (It is recommended that you redirect the output to a file on disk and then archive and attach the requested information to a reply post vs just copy and paste in reply.)

Also why are you fill vmnet1 and vmnet8?  Personally, I recommend to leave the default value for the Type of network for vmnet1 and vmnet8 and add additional vmnet for additional bridged network.

  • Mac Pro speed issues

I am a filmmaker and still editing on my Mac Pro 2008 (with a MacBook Pro 3 years).  I was considering the upgrade because my old computer fails and because it looks like 4 k editing will be important in my world in the coming years.  In research on the latest Mac Pro in the Apple Store and comparing them to what B & H are selling, it seems there has been little, or even no speed improvements since 2013.  Am I missing something?

Some of the current models are capable of editing 4 k video on an external drive by the lightning or any other login?  It is likely, there will be a new model with a back of a donkey in the following year worth the wait?  Any advice welcome, including the review of other computers.

  • Mac Pro read is not Toshiba External HDD

I have a * Toshiba USB 2.0 Portable external hard drive (200 GB) *, and I used it fine on my PC with Windows XP for months.

I tried to plug into today in my newly purchased Mac Pro and it seemed very well on my desktop, but when I double-clicked to view content, my data and such were all there, but I couldn't access anything whatsoever. If I open a folder to see its contents, I got was an empty folder with a spinning graphic "Occupied" in the lower right corner. None of the individual files would appear at all never.

I would try unplugging, re-plugging in and then sometimes it wouldn't even register on the desktop. I have tried different USB ports on Mac Pro to look forward and try to make it reappear again.

Once I was actually able to view all the content on my hard drive. I tried to access an MP3 player out there, it load iTunes, but iTunes locked up on me, and I couldn't close out of it, and eject my hard drive.

When I "Get Info" on my external hard drive icon on the desktop, the format is MS-DOS (FAT32).

I use the Mac OS X 10.5.2 release.

Any ideas of what is the problem? I am absolutely puzzled and upset.

If you connect to Windows XP Home edition laptop / PC, it works well again. Am I right about that?

    Hello Mc-Irish,

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do, but lets see if we can get for you that works.

To me, it seems that you try to use your iMac as a second screen. If this is the case, take a look at the article below for the requirements for the use of your iMac as a secondary screen on your Mac. Make sure you have a cable Thunderbolt or mini display depending on how the MacBook Pro specifications

    Hi rustyg12,

    Go to/Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver CS6/Configuration/Menus/menus.bak

You will see a menus.xml file here - it is a backup copy of the actual menus.xml file that uses DW.

Copy it from this folder, paste 1 level above (in the file menu).

Launch DW. See if it works.
