MacBook Pro flickering monitor

Hello! I have a MacBook to mid-2014 Pro retina 13 "with these specs:

2.6 GHz Intel Core i5

8 GB Ram

128 GB SSD

Card Iris Intel graphics

MacOS X 10.11.5

and this morning I noticed a strange thing: the corner at the bottom left of the screen was flickering (or "vibrant"). I tried to stop the Mac, change the background image, reboot, change resolution, but nothing has changed.

First of all, is a hardware problem (something goes wrong with the GPU) or a simple software problem? How could I solve this problem?

Thanks in advance for your support.

There has been a lot of complaints of not being able to use the resolution full screen on 3 monitors of party, who has worked in El Capitan.  I've seen all the problems such as you report.

However, I guess the graphics driver passed under changes in the Sierra, and it is possible, that this is yet another side effect.

You may very well be a bug, so that developers know that there is still another problem with the graphics driver Sierra

  • MacBook Pro retina 15 inch heats up when it is connected to the external monitor

    Hello

My problem: When I connect my monitor (LG IPS277L) temperature of my Macbook Pro starts to heat upward. This problem often occurs when I use Facetime.

I found it really strange because I should have a pretty good Macbook Pro for this.

MacBook Pro (15 inch, retina, medio 2015)

Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7

    Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics card: Iris Pro 1536 MB Intel / AMD Radeon R9 M370X

    El Captain 10.11.6 OSX

I hope that someone recognizes this problem and wants to share their solution.

When you connect to an external monitor, you use the AMD Chip for graphics (without the external screen, most of the software needs only the graphics engine Intel).  It attracts more power and therefore heats up.  All MacBook Pro for this to some extent.  This should be considered normal.  If the computer is actually overheating, it will stop.

  • MacBook Pro does not detect monitor Dell through CDM

Guys, a few weeks ago I asked a question if bolt of lightning 2 CDM-compatible monitors. You guys lied. I got the Dell P2715Q today and I have connected to the computer with the USB cable I had Plug and cable thunderbolt. I did everything, but my Mac has not detected even if I pressed the "Detect" button in the system preferably several times. I restarted my computer and still nothing happens. The monitor speaks to me of * like 'Enter in Safe Mode' then what I do now? What the * Apple? You create all by yourself? Your useless thunderbolt screen is worse than the air show 2011 MB! Help guys!

What USB connection?  There is no "monitor" for this Dell Monitor USB connection.  The USB connection is a USB hub built into the monitor for other devices.  You must select one of the following values: DP, HDMI or mini-DP.

I'm sitting on my right now uses a new MacBook Pro computer w/Retina.  It is connected via the Thunderbolt port to a Dell U2715H using the connection of the RFP at the back.  No problem at all.  I used this type of connection for the most recent years (previously an old MacBook Pro, 2011 model).

  • Mid 2012 Macbook pro with 2 monitors generic?

I have a 15 inch mid 2012 Macbook pro (the one with an optical drive), there a mini-Display port and a firewire port.  I have a few spare Dell monitors and I want to set up two monitors to it.  I know there is a DVD-I or VGA adapter mini-Display, but I can't find something-> firewire.  Is what I'm trying to do possible?

  • How to connect a macbook pro retina to an external VGA monitor

I have a MacBook Pro of the retina on OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 running. Previously, I could connect a previous MacBook Pro (late 2009) to an external VGA monitor. I was told on the Apple store I could use the mini display in a Flash port dongle to connect to a VGA cable, but when I tried this, the monitor could not get a signal. Is there another dongle I should use? I have a HDMI cable which I assume will work with most modern projectors, but I really want to go to this old VGA monitor for editing in iMovie.

If you go to  > System Preferences > displays made outside monitor to see the place? You want to make sure that the mirror/extension development is enabled. Also, how old is your MacBook Pro?

  • How to connect 2 monitors to macbook pro late 2012

Hello, I want to connect 2 monitors to my end 2012 pro macbook and use monitors instead of the laptop.

    It's quite possible,

To do this, you need the following:

    -2 external monitors

    -a thunderbolt adapter that can:

-convert thunderbolt to any video input located on your external monitor of choice.

-a way of Garland or split your thunderbolt 1 port to connect to 2 monitors

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=sP1thwUcO9c

You can then use the closing clamshell mode to operate only on your external monitors

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201834

If you have any questions let me know.

    see you soon

  • I have a macbook pro mid 2012 and I want to connect two monitors

I have a macbook mid 2012 pro and I want to connect two monitors.

as you know, I have a firewire port, port a thunderbolt and two usb ports.

You can connect in series two screens Thunderbolt to your MacBook Pro.

  • External monitor works only with the Macbook Pro?

I just bought a Macbook Pro 15-inch (mid-2015, OS X El Capitan 10.11.4) and planned to connect it to my BenQ GL2450HM (he had since worms 2011 for my Windows PC). I had a DVI adapter for them, but the card connects to the cable correctly (as it goes down easy) and then when I plugged it, the monitor gave me a green light for a bit, but finally displays 'no signal' and the screen went black, and yellow light. But when I pulled the cable out of my monitor, he said "no cable not connected" (implying that he entered the connection somehow before that?)

So, I read while holding down the option key to detect monitors, but that did not work. Put the laptop to sleep and then wake it up didn't work either. I also tried to plug the adapter to DVI/VGA Converter that I have, but they fit together. I tried to plug the adapter directly to the DVI port on my monitor, but they are not at all together.

I feel, it should be possible to make the Macbook and monitor work together, but I'm stuck to know exactly what needs to be fixed. Probably the adapter or DVI cable, however. Do you have any suggestions?

I don't see that this is not possible, so I am that give a bump.

  • The display on my 2008 Macbook Pro went dark. Can I connect to a Mac monitor no?

View on 2008 MacBook Pro has been dark. I can connect the computer to a Mac monitor no?

Sure. If the computer problem, it is with the LCD screen or the backlight, you should be able to use it plugged in the external display. If the problem is with the graphics card will not help the external display. Your computer requires a dongle to connect to the screen and you must get the correct key for display - VGA or DVI. Determine what type of port the display and buy the appropriate mini-Display dongle
