Machine of clinet connection to the mail server

Hello world

I have a very annoying problem with my client computer to connect to the mail server. I followed the instructions have benchmarking Guide, but when I try to connect my client to the mail server, I get the following error message:

A domain for the mailserver0 domain controller could not be contacted.

I tried full and short for mailserver0, the deactivation of my other network interface (I have two on the client machine), but kept getting the same error. I would appreciate if someone can help me solve this. The 'details' are:

The following error occurred when DNS was questioned about the resource record (SRV) service location used to locate a domain controller for the domain mailserver0:

The error was: "the DNS name does not exist."

(0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR error code)

The query was for the SRV record for ldap. TCP. DC._msdcs.mailserver0

-The DNS SRV records to locate a domain controller for the domain are not registered in DNS. These records are automatically registered with a DNS server when a domain controller is added to a domain. They are updated by the DC at set intervals. This computer is configured to use DNS servers with the following IP addresses:

172.18.0.22

192.168.1.10

-One or more of the following areas do not include delegation to its child zone:

mailserver0

. (the root zone)

What output this command on the mail server:

netstat - o - n a | findstr /i listen | Findstr: 53

There should not be a firewall on the mail server.  If there is turn it off.

  • Outlook Express: Unable to connect to the mail server! (error 0x800CCC90)

original title: Outlook Express: unable to connect to the mail server!

Im trying to get my outlook express to receive and send messages from my live.com account but it comes back with: the server responded with an error. Account: "Live.com', Protocol: POP3, server response:'-ERR AVG POP3 Proxy Server: cannot connect to the mail server!', Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC90."

Someone knows how to fix this? I tried to remove and add the account again using IMAP instead of POP3, but still get an error message, the e-mail address and the password are all correct and I think that ive got the right to Server (live.com?) Im not exactly computer so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will find the right settings for an account on this page live.com: send and receive Hotmail from an e-mail application. To change your settings, select Tools > accounts > {account} > properties and make right onto the tabs of servers and Advanced entries.

[I moved your question on the forum just for Outlook Express issues.] You should not notice a difference].

The problem is that you allow your antivirus to mess with your email. Which is not recommended for the reasons explained here:
    http://thundercloud.NET/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

Chances are, AVG antivirus was installed with the default installation option. If so, uninstall, then reinstall, but select 'custom' install, which then allows you to deselect install his embarrassing module scan to email.

While AVG is uninstalled, then try Windows Mail, just to check that the culprit has been found.

  • Can't export virtual machines: unable to connect to the remote server

    Hello

I'm working on vSphere client 5.1 (vCenter Server 5.1). Trying to export a virtual machine for distribution model. When I go to file-> export the template OVF..., I get the following error message:

Can't export virtual machines: unable to connect to the remote server

Remote not sure what/who he is not able to connect to. If I connect vSphere Web Client and navigate to the same model (or all other models), under 'All the Actions of vCenter' I don't have an option to export to the model of the FVO. But if I use a VM machine instead of a virtual machine template, I have the ability to export to the OVF, but it is grayed out.

Am I missing any customer authorization or plugin for vShpere?

Discovered that vSphere server had some modifications made by HIM to resolve the violation POODLE. HE had to set the ip address of the machine where export OVF will be performed. Which allowed the connection to establish vsphere client and perform an export of the FVO.

  • Thunderbird on Win 7 will not connect to the mail server. The fact on Vista

Migrating from Win 7 to Vista computers. Use Windows Mail on Vista. Installed Thunderbird on Win 7 and made the automatic configuration, but it wouldn't connect to the provider (sbcglobal.net email). Made the same installation on Vista. It is connected to. Ideas?

First assumption is that the firewall on the Windows 7 computer block Thunderbird. Make sure that it is connected to authorize or similar and not blocked or Auto.

Then compare the settings on the Vista machine and make sure that they are correct in Thunderbird.

You probably entered the wrong server name. Because you transcribed the error message instead of copy paste, we do not see what is wrong. RR help pages:

The address of the outgoing mail (SMTP) server is:

    SMTP - server.ec.rr.com

The address of the incoming (POP3) mail server is:

    pop - server.ec.rr.com

Right-click on the account name in the folders pane, and then select Properties. Make the changes under the servers tab.

If this does not help, please click on the error message to select it, and then use a right click to copy and paste in your response.

AVG is the cause of this error message. Try to disable mail scan in AVG and see if that helps. (Tip: AVG is causing more headaches with each update.) You may want to consider another AV program is more compatible with Outlook Express). Bruce Hagen

  • Connection to the mail server

Suddenly, I wonder of password entry (which has not changed) and regardless of what windows mail will not send or receive mail. Why is this happening?

According to Brian, see here www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 and it can help to remove the e-mail account, and then compact and repair the database (seewww.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and then add the account back again.

  • Error message 'invalid base64 in continuous response data' when you try to access the mail server

Under Thunderbird 16.0.2 Mac running OS 10.5.8 that worked perfectly for 6 years. Today I suddenly can't connect to the mail server Westnet (Western Australia). Automated or manual sending my password Gets the response "the password sending has failed. "Mail server mail.westnet.com.au replied: data not valid base64 in continuous response.

I always have access to the web and can access my email via the web portal of Westnet or using the Mail from Mac client. Using Thunderbird but I can not connect.

This sounds like the server think your already logged in. Try to turn off the machine for 10-15 minutes and have a cup of tea. This should be long enough to force a timeout if there is something hung up at the end of westnet and try again.

  • Thunderbird downloads emails from the mail server to its own server?

Download Thunderbird and Horus email on its own server, or wiat for pull emails from my mail server until I have connect and download them?

There is no 'server Thunderbird', so that solves the first part of your question.

I don't know what you mean by "log in."

Thunderbird, retrieves all in all, your messages from the server when you tell him, or you can configure it to do periodically.

To access your messages, he must know the username of the e-mail account (very often all or part of your e-mail address) and the corresponding password. If you allow Thunderbird store the password, there is no need even to think of "connection" to the mail server.

I said "basically" because with some IMAP servers, messages seem to be fed to Thunderbird as and when they become available, assuming he is alive and online.
