Machine of Windows 7 has been accidentally restarted when configuring updates
My windows 7 machine rebooted accidentally when configuring updates, and now it freezes on the screen reading "configuration of the Windows updates failed.

I tried to restart the computer in safe mode and it loaded the same screen, then itself restarted in normal mode, displaying the message. I can't connect to the computer and I am very familiar with the command prompt. The computer came with windows 7 home installed top of the store, and I have no access to one of my original documents accompanying it (we moved twice since then). Y at - it a hope? My flash drive which was a backup of my system windows has been accidentally immersed in water. When it is dry can still be used without destroying my USB port?
Hello
Put it in a bag of rice for a few days or more. -seal the bag.
If you remove all the moisture, it shouldn't affect the USB ports if nothing is
possible. Usually it is not a problem if the moisture is removed.I hope this helps.

My SYSTEM WINDOWS 7 has been down since 09/25/12, I get an (error) on all the solutions, I can't have a phone number to talk to a person.
What the computer does? Have what solutions you tried?
You may need to start over with a clean slate. A facility "to return to the factory" would get your system operational return...
Note that unless you save all the important things, it would be lost after the reset. If your computer does not at all to the top, you will need to remove the hard drive and connect it to another computer in order to save the important things...
Re start over... Your computer is equipped with a recovery instead of disk partition...
This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...
For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device
For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device
For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward
For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo
For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.
Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"
Sony VAIO, restart and until that screen "Advanced Boot Options" appears, press "F8".
You may need to try several times to get everything above to work. If after several attempts, you have no chance, or the machine indicates that there is no recovery partition, your only option is to contact the computer manufacturer and ask for the model recovery discs...
After the reset, you should get all the updates from Windows Update EXCEPT for hardware devices. Then, you install a good antivirus. ONLY AFTER you have done this, if you replace the stuff of backups or install anything else.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.htmlFor drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have. Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
