Made in error Installer Flash AS3 AIR application

I created a desktop application AIR 2.6 helps AS3 in Flash 5.5.  After I have publish and try to install it, I get this error:

AirError.png

The app works great when I just run sovereign wealth funds.  I have published apps before using the same software and have not had any problems.  This time I'm pulling in several SWF files (does not forward), could this be the cause? I'm just spit ball here...

That the error occurs when you have an older version of the installed application and the certificate is more than 6 months - then it does prompt you not to replace. Go to control panel and uninstall the older version of the app install should then work correctly.

It's really driving me crazy already.

Whenever I try to install the Application from the website of history, it says I have to install Adobe Air. So I click on Install, it shows the progress bar on 100%, then an error window. The header of the window reads "Adobe AIR installer" and the main section of the window has "couldn't write the application on the hard drive. Please check that the disk is available and try again. "- there's a retry and cancel. Retry does it all again with the same results.

No, I had not previous versions of Adobe Air. So I tried to install direct AIR from the Adobe website, and he moved very well. So I return to the page Web Story and try to reinstall the Desktop Application and the exact same game events as described above occurs. I uninstalled the installation of AIR, tried again, same result.

    Hello

We are sorry that you are facing this problem.

Could you please try it one more time with an extra step of refresh the page of history after the installation of AIR.

So I tried to install direct AIR from the Adobe website, and he moved very well. So I return to the Web Story page (REFRESH the page of history here) and try to reinstall the Desktop Application and the exact same game events as described above occurs. I uninstalled the installation of AIR, tried again, same result.

History of the controls for AIR install status on the machine at the time of the launch. So, if the application was launched first, and then the AIR installed, the application won't know the update AIR install status. As a result, refresh the page of history should work. Another way would be to install the soft AIR first and then launch the application.

  • Flash AS3 error codes

Someone know how I can find the meaning of error codes Flash AS3?

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Unfortunately, the information it is almost useless. It says 'call to a _ possibly undefined method '.
It is a line in a file that starts

With such a quantity of possible causes, they should give us some examples to delete.

I'm trying to get the HelloWorld application to work, but I can't find the "BlackBerry Tablet AIR Application" option. It should appear in the debug configuration, but it's not.

I already have the Simulator works and correctly installed the Playbook SDK (link to version 2.5 SDK and Flash Builder). I have no error in compilation (QNX namespaces are used), I think that the installation has been correctly executed.

    Any ideas?

I went to the system registry to find the file it refers and is not a he.  I ran a norton registry cleanup and a virus scan.  I did find something online that made reference to this dll file.  The message appears at any time that I start a new program.  How to fix this, or find the virus that is the cause.

A Google search for "[insert the name of the file]" grown up nothing. When you get no hits for a filename on Google, chances are high that it is a malicious program file. You did not when you get the message. If it's only at startup, either you have uninstalled the malware program or your antivirus/antispyware program did. In all cases, a reference has been left in the boot file. You can remove the reference by managing your startup. If you get the message during regular time on the computer and not not only at startup, your computer is still infected.

Norton will do the job of cleaning and registry cleaners are garbage who at best will not do anything and the worst risk damage to your Windows installation.

First of all, make sure that the computer is really free of virus/malware through these systematically - General malware removal steps http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware . Then, if the computer is really clean and you still receive the message, manage your Startup to remove the reference to the malware:

Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

  • Failed to launch! ApolloLaunchDelegate.fileDoesNotExist! in Flash Builder when debugging AIR applications

    Hello world

I use flash/flex builder for years, but have never tried to create an AIR application before.  I tried to create a 'Hello' world app before wearing some of my stuff by following the instructions here:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/air/1.5/devappsflex/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118676a28bd-8000. HTML

"but when I try to debug the code, I get the a dialog box"Unable to launch"with the useless comment! ApolloLaunchDelegate.fileDoesNotExist!'.

    I'm running win7x64, SDK 4.1

I tried all kinds of different files in the AIR, including the value by default when you create an empty project and the conversion of copies of some of my existing flex projects on the desktop, but they all give the same message.

Google does not help.  Any ideas would be welcome.

    Kenneth

EDIT: just tried the same thing on my same version of flash builder on my laptop and it works... The laptop working Vistax64.  The only other different is that when I chose SDK 4.1 in the new project dialog box, he said, AIR 2.0, while on this machine, say, he needed air 1.5

    Hello

You can check whether a SWF file has been generated in your bin-debug folder? Looking at the code FB, this happens when the SWF file does not exist. (Although I don't know why the error message is incorrect for you. Did pass you to FB 4 to 4.0.1 or are you on an own 4.0.1 install?)

Try to check your view of 'Problems' to see if there are any compiler errors.

    Thank you

  • Migrate an AIR application to use a new certificate - Flash Pro?

    Hello

I need to migrate my old certificate for my AIR application. I found the instructions using ADT to http://help.adobe.com/en_US/air/build/WS13ACB483-1711-43c0-9049-0A7251630A7D.html , but I publish using the Flash IDE of Pro. Is this possible via Flash Pro, or only ADT?

    See you soon

OK, the migration can be done via Flash Pro because it requires access complation of command line. But this can be done easily. I hope that your operating system is Windows? ()) Because I don't use a Mac.

    ADT-migrate - stores pkcs12 - keystore cert.p12 myApp.air myAppIn.air

This string can be performed easily.

    (1) locate your Adobe Air SDK and copy the path to the Clipboard.

    (2) create the folder somewhere and put your original.air

    (3) create the Migrate.txt file

    (4) type in:

    'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Air Flash Runtimes\4.0.0.1390\bin\adt.bat' - migrate - pkcs12 - keystore cert.p12 original.air update.air stores

Change to full path to your Air SDK location. For example, it can be like:

    "C:\AdobeAirSDK\bin\adt.bat" - migrate - pkcs12 - keystore cert.p12 original.air update.air stores

    (5) rename Migrate.txt in Migrate.bat and run it. ADT may request your pass certificate. Enter it and press ENTER.

I never make migration because I use only Embeded with *.exe internal distribution. But using the link you provide - you can do it yourself. Just change everythere adt to your other "C:\AdobeAirSDK\bin\adt.bat" your location of the sdk.

But I always use ADT command-line

I hope this helps. But it's for Windows. I don't know how to deal with the MacOS command line.

  • Air applications require Flash Player?

Well, this question may sound silly, but you please help me with my basic doubt. Applications created in Flex (AIR application) requires Flash Player on the client side or simply install AIR on the client side will do?

No, just the AIR runtime is enough. Air application uses the airglobal.swc for compilation.

  • FlexUnit with AS3 AIR does not work?

Recently, I tried to take a shot at TDD (Test Driven Development), as I'm sure many of you know.  To do this I tried to use FlexUnit 4 of in Flash Builder 4.

If I create a project as follows:

    1. New--> Flex project
    2. Next, Next
    3. (The main Application file) Replace .mxml, .as
    4. Finishing

Then when I try to use FlexUnit in the ordinary way, it fails to generates an adequate FlexUnitApplication.mxml.  The content of this file is:

    package_declaration
    {
    class_declaration
    {
    class_body
    }
    }

Therefore, there is a compile error that I can not move:

Content is not allowed in prolog.

    However:

If I followed the same process as above, without changing the .mxml to .as tests run correctly.

Things, I tried to work around the error:

    • FlexUnit to 4.1 update
    • Pressing refresh in the FlexUnitsResults window
    • Creating a project with .mxml and thereafter remove this mxml and its replacement with an actionscript class
    • Bump on my desk.

    None of them have worked.

Did anyone here successfully FlexUnit FlashBuilder 4 for an AS3 AIR project all?  If not, can anyone suggest another Test package?

    Thank you

    ~ Nick.

I found a solution at least provisional.  I restarted FlashBuilder and despite the error marked under issues here and it worked.

I think that restart Flashbuilder maybe erases a previously stored properly compiled build.  (Maybe Clean could also do this?).  in any case, at the time of compilation, the mxml file was generated correctly and all is well.

  • air application connects to the web service although swf don't

    Hey there,

I will try and be brief. We built a kiosk application in flash builder a pure as3 project. When we went to convert it into an air application all seems fine except for two issues. one is that we cannot use the Security.allowDomain("*"); Tagus. not much we comment on this possibility, but when we do we cannot connect to the web service that we use. Here is the error msg that we get:

now, if we run just the swf file it connects very well. the only reason I need this app to be in a wrapper of the air is so that I can remove the print dialog box. otherwise, I'd create just an exe file.

    any ideas would be great!

    Thank you

    OK, found the problem!

When we built the as3 project and we implement web service calls, we used post from get we caused problems. We have been connecting to a service of qa so that may have something to do with it. In all cases, we have changed the headers in the air application to get and it seems to work fine. Why would he works in the SWF and not the air who knows, but there are go!

    Thank you

I'm sorry that you run into problems installing with AIR.  Microsoft has just released a new utility that can help to resolve installation problems.  Would you mind giving it a try and let us know how it works for you?  When you run the patch, go through the uninstall process and trying to remove Adobe AIR on your system.  Once finished, download the latest version of AIR and install again.

Microsoft install and uninstall the fix it

If you're still having problems, I have created a vb script called zap of AIR which may also help.  You can find it on this post: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3737276#3737276

    Thank you

  • Please help - Flex Kit of components for Flash AS3

I tried several examples of using flex for Flash AS3 components kit and none of them work for me. Whenever I run the "convert symbol to Flex Component Command", I get the following result:

Command has made the following changes to the FLA:
    Activated permit debugging
    Turned on Export SWC
    Pace set to 24
    FlexComponentBase component into the library
Symbol "BallComponent" can be used as a Flex component.
Select file > publish to create the SWC file for use in Flex.

Sounds OK, but after you add the SWC to the flex library, my flex application does not seem to 'see' the new component. I managed to pull in components that others have done with Flash AS3 and kit components, so I don't think I'm doing something wrong on the flex side.

I noticed that Flash, FlexComponentBase does not appear in my library after converted it my symbol to a flex component. In addition, nothing happens when I drag FlexComponentBase into my library. It just does not appear. When I go to the Properties dialog box for my exported component and try to validate mx.flash.UIMovieClip, I get the following message:

A definition for the base class is not found in the classpath. Please enter the name of a class that is defined in the classpath or enter the base class default 'flash.display.MovieClip '.

I figured there was something wrong with my installation of Flash CS3 or the Component Kit, so I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash CS3, Flex Builder and the kit of components with the same results.

I've now seen the same behavior with Flash CS3 9.0.2, Flex Builder 3 (tried beta 2 and beta 3) and the kit components 1.1.2.

Has anyone seen this behavior before?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jake

    Yoav,

Thanks a lot for your help. Your validation that I was doing things right and the results of the tests in your environment has really made a difference.

It turns out that my problem was not on versions of Flash/Flex/Component Kit, etc... It was my java classpath. I had a reference to an older version of xalan.jar (version 2.6.0) in my system classpath and the problem was solved when I removed it.

    Rock on!
