  I just bought the computer Satellite L30 toshiba laptop and I'm having problems with pages to minimize whenever I click on the page. Most of the time it happens when I click on the scroll bar, but it also happens when I click on any part of the page and when im typing.

  It becomes very annoying. I've only had this laptop for about 2 weeks and the problem has been there since the first day. IM runing Windows Vista Home Basic Edition.

  Widely not reported, no known resolution until Apple release a new version of iTunes that affects it.

  I changed without intention some settings or something, but I can't fix it. I have documents (book chapters) that do not start with page 1 but the spirit 230 or 130 or some other number, but I see the sign where you ca see pages or master pages, the only pages starting with 1 (as in "the first page of this document and so on".) On another computer, no problem, the same file number in this Panel page corect.

  Can someone please help and tell me how corect this?

  I almost forgot; I am working on Windows and with InDesign CS3.

  Check your settings on each computer in Edit > Preferences > General > Page numbering. Chances are it's different on both computers.

• Hyphen with Pages 5.6.2 problem

  Just upgraded to 5.6.2 Pages 09 Pages.

  When I typed in my table of contents in the 09, my dash was a small that makes some kind of dots across the page of the chapter to page number:

  Now, when I type the hyphen, I get what I've learned since then are a me ' Hype. It's really a dash. Very long and not what I want.

  I find very little in the preferences and nothing to change my hyphens or dashes.

  How do I return to the shorter hyphen, the hyphen is?

  Is it possible to go back to the Pages 09?

  You probably Edit menu: Substitutions: Smart dashes checked in v5.6.2 Pages. Uncheck this menu option so that '-' rest '-' and not turned into an em dash.

  Pages v5.6.2 silently installing left you an Applications: iWork ' 09 folder that contains the Pages ' 09 (you have to v4.3) for better compatibility of El Capitan). Export your Pages as Pages09 v5.6.2 work, then right-click on the document and open it with Pages (4.3).

  Because you have two versions of Pages installed on your Mac, a double click on a document always opens it in v5.6.2 Pages. Pages v5.6.2 documents are not directly compatible with Pages ' 09, so you may encounter dialog boxes such as ("index.xml file missing" or "You need a newer version of the Pages"). Just right click as in the first paragraph.

  I purchased a SR1463CL to add to a DELL Dimension - old but never fails. -the HARD drive was crushed. I replaced the HDD Samsung with Western Digital. I have replace the dial-up modem. All this without problems. I installed Windows XP Pro and SP2 update. My system detects "New hardware" drivers VGA Compatible and multimedia controller. I have had no success finding the right drivers and their installation. My monitor works find, but I have no sound.

  Poster 'sounds, video controllers' Device Manager with the problems. Initial device showed sound and audio by default to the Modem. I removed which and at this point no device is indicated.

  Device Manager shows no driver found for new hardware and online search has failed. Windows Update detects any is available. I checked on the resource one manufacturing line have failed in my downloadsfrom RealTek and Nvidia.Dial - up has had major periods and material has been identified as there's no way for the system. Previous owner had made the back-ups-DVD-but they went "purple haze" and could not be read. That's why I installed XP Pro.

  Thanks for the information. Due to serious conflicts resulting from auto-updates from microsoft, which I had to reformat the HARD drive and have located since the necessary drivers to the www.sis.com for VGA and www.realtek.com for audio AC 97 readers to be precise. Manually review and choose downloads in the future.

• working with Pages

  I just started working with Pages, I want to use it to prepare invoices. Everything seems to work fine except for a problem... For example if I get 100.00 it seems ok, but then when I go to the next line, it changes and the DOS.00 after the 100 are not, here are 2 screenshots to show thatI guess it's probably a simple solution, of ideas?   You do not specify if you do a copy/paste a Finder .jpg image, or an image of another open application - in Pages. I can tell you first hand that copy/paste a .jpg image file (or even drag and drop) from Finder works with Pages ' 09 v4.3 and v5.6.2 on OS X 10.11.5. There is no change of OS X or Pages on June 13, what else do you have to your computer (install the anti-virus software) or something else?

  I have a problem, one of my computers I have Pages 5.6.1. I have many files created with the most recent version of the Pages 5.6.1.

  The problem is that I can not open files created with Pages 5.6.1 use another computer with Pages 5.6.1.

  These files are not compatible? I get an error or anything like that, they simply do not open (nothing happens).

  This is a known issue. Update both machines to v5.6.1 Pages (providing you have Yosemite 10.10.4 or later). Unfortunately, v5.6.1 Pages can also forget open documents of his own creation.

  • What were the changes made before the problem occurred?

  You can try to restart the computer and check if it helps.

  If above does not help, you can read the following steps to disable the active desktop on the computer and check:

  a. to disable Active Desktop.
  b. right click on an area empty office, point to Active Desktop, and then click view as Web Page to clear the check box.

• Rh10 Fm conversion with references to PDF with page number

  I have a FM document with images that are references to PDF with page number. After I do the conversion, by simply using the default settings/mappings, I get a HR document with the first image to reproduce throughout the document where the other images should be.

  What should I do to get the correct images converted?

  The class author template we created duplicate ID. The ID did not cause other problems other than with the conversion. The fix has been applied to the model so all is working now.

• merge data master pages - problem

  OK - I posted prematurely b4 that I could do it successfully but am stuck with a problem that is a show-stopper.

  I have a master page spread [left and right pages] who has several fields that I fill out on over 200 pages with the data merge. I got this works ok, but the problem is that the fusion only works on the first master page - and since InDesig starts automatically with a right-hand page - it would be the 2nd page of my spread - I can get the two pages to merge the data correctly, but I end up with a right hand start page - then a left page facing a right-hand page which is not for the same record, but the account given below. Is tehre any way level this? Is tehre a way I can force inDesign to start with a left page?

  Try to clear your browser's cache.

  Firefox button or tools > clear recent history... - details and of course Cache hit only is selected, and then select all and click the clear now button.
