Make measurements in parallel

The title is a misnomer since Labview accesses every VI in a sequential way randomly. However, for me, I am measuring three quantities. Two of these measures take different, but a long time (more than the third).

I use mistake / error in to sequence operations. I hoped to do was to use the error on the cluster of excitement VI to introduce all three instruments in parallel and then at the end, expect that any mistake three clusters of these three screws to be filled before proceeding.

I can easily make a dummy VI that takes three clusters error and then generates a cluster of output (connected to a single internally of course - I have no idea how merge the contents of these clusters of three error). Of course, in normal operation, any of them whatsoever supposed to contain what.

The question is - is this a good strategy? Or y at - it something better (you could suggest in response)?

There is a VI error fusion you can use.

The only problem I have encountered in using this: if I have a dependency of my instruments order errors for fusion vi errors is important. If a setting of Instr2 is used as Instr1 input parameter and there is an error on the Instr2 wire, a bad value can be passed to Instr1 generating an error on the wire of the mistake of Instr1. The fusion VI error me error on wire1 and ignore the error message of Instr2. So in this case I set instr2 to the error in 1 wire and wire Instr1 error for error in 2.

You can do in the measure dialog. Once you have the winodw dialogue measure, there will be three dots next to the measuring element right and then you can click on it and a new window opens. In the new window, click on your desired sub-channel and click on the button on the top and then select the node you want to your measurement to make. I've attached a photo showing the three steps that we discussed.

Measure the frequency of the pulses PXI-6624

Hello. I work with a PXI-6624 and am interested to make measurements of pulsed frequency for frequency and duty cycle on its inputs using DAQmx.

When I go to create the virtual channel, however, I have error-200431:

"Physical channel selected does not support the type of measure required by the virtual channel you create."

Is this card really not capable of doing these measures of pulse frequency?

Yes, the "Pulse" (not to be confused with "Pulse Width") measure was introduced with STC3 of OR including CompactDAQ and X series devices.

However, you should always be able to measure the frequency and the duty cycle on your card with a half measure:

The difference between these two modes boils down to how the data is stored and implemented in buffer on the map - with the period semi method that the material does not distinguish between high and low samples and puts everything in a single buffer. However, if you start the meter on the song (see below the node property), then you would know the order of low and high samples in software, and are easy enough to calculate cycle frequency and the duty of this.

Measures voltage and temperature with 6221 and USB TC1

I make a program to make measurements of voltage with a card PCI 6221 37 pins Council and measures temperature with a USB-TC01. I use Labview 2009 SP1 and basically my program reads the data, it displays in a table and records in a file, all at a time which runs in a loop until I have to stop the program.

The program is closed. I wasn't too sure about timing with the 2 devices. The tc01 works at a fixed rate, so I put DAQmx read 1 Chan 1 Samp. On the 6221, I defined a sampling frequency and chose to not 'continuous samples', set DAQmx read 1Chan Nsamp and 'samples to read' the value "-1".» And it seems to work fine, but only if 'samples to read' - 1 seems too easy. I'm missing something. What determines the speed at which the loop runs?

Try putting a wait function (ms) in the loop. Set the value of waiting for 100 to 1000 ms. If everything goes faster than that, then the wait will determine the rate of the loop.

Can I use a NOR-9244 for measuring single-phase AC 2-wire 480V?

As the 9244 module is rated for a maximum of 400 v L - N and L - L 800V, to measure 480V, I would need to connect to AI0 AI1 and let the neutral entry floating. Manual outlines all single phase measures referred to the input neutral and has some instructions on the conversion of L - N L - L measures, but it is expressed not bad so I don't know if it tells me that I can directly measure the voltage through AI0 AI1, or not.

Can anyone confirm that I can make measurements with 9244 cable in this configuration, until I drop the $$$ to buy it?

A distinction must be made between Vpk and Vrms.

@GerdW is correct that the input device is ~ 1000Vpk (997.5Vpk). However, this translates into ~352.6 Vrms

The side of 800 Vrms for line (L - L) measures is for multiphase applications.

As you take a single-phase measure, you would use an AIx-neutral (L - N) connection.

The diagram for this is detailed in figure 12 on page 25 of the Manual:

So to measure above 400Vrms on this unit, you will need to use a power supply external to resign from the tension, as mentioned in the white paper in (specifically the section of voltage):

In summary the 9244 cannot directly measure 480Vrms. You can set before the signal to less than or equal to 400Vrms

Norma 4000 waveform measurement

I have 4000 Norma connected via rs232 and I want to get the waveform of voltage in labview. Something like DSO. I can do this in NORMA View (which is developed in labview), but when I try to do in labview with lnopa01 v09 pilots it doesent work. When I try to make measures it's ok, but when I try to save in memory and read then it returns error.

I'm triying to make measurements of strain and temperature. I use a chassis SCXI 1001 1520 and 1314 w/SCXI modules. I put it upward on the bridge of the watch I have Setup and proportional to the deformation data I issue. I use the .vi CQI samples (with calibration) Wheatstone bridge I found in the examples, with a small change due to sample & contain errors.

But the examples shows as physical units 'lbs', what I don't understand.

Moreover, I do not know how can I be sure the scale is correct, because I'm not clear what the scale of the map is even read the help (it's just a different way to define a linear scale? two points instead of the slope and the value zero?)

I tried, based on the example, make the first may not express acquisition .vi and seems to work! And I guess that the units that I get are strain, since the subvis ask for enough information to make the transformations themselves (guarantee of nominal value, the type of bridge, etc.).

Thank you for your support. About the offset calibration null, I see no difference between what makes the .vi or MAX. In fact, I do it on the program because I can't work on MAX very well (even less than in LabView).

I'm trying to measure the frequency and phase of a square wave from a data acquisition card using vi retrieves your unique information. So far, the frequency can be measured precisely, but there are a few problems with the measurement of phase.

I have attached a sample program here. I generate the wave square using Square Wave PtByPt vi. The default sample size is 1000. When I put the frequency = 7.43, phase = 80, the frequency can be measured precisely, but the phase is completely. Is there something wrong with my program?

A square wave is not a single signal ;-)

If you have a square wave use the edges to make measurements.

How to fast refresh materialized view parallel

We have Oracle 11.2.0.1 on Redhat 5.2. We use a dozen views fast refresh materialized in our application.
Occasionally refresh MV takes longer than the refresh interval.

This Sapphire 6850 1 GB video card would be a very good choice. $135 after rebate. 8.5 "length of the map. 128 GB/s.

The Corsair CX500 would be an excellent choice for a power supply. $40 after rebate.

Look at the motherboard, and ensures that the components on the motherboard will not interfere with the installation of the video card.

30 minutes of video means that there will be a lot of megabytes, or gigabytes to treat. I/o wait time to send data on the hard drive are probably where most of the time will be spent. Installing a solid state drive will reduce considerably so far here. You can install the SSD as a second hard drive and use it for your video work active. Video inactive should probably be archived in a cheaper camera. I would wait on the SSD until you can evaluate the results of the new video card.

There is a large performance difference and energy consumption. Look at this comparison.

The 420 is a narrow card requiring only a single slot where the 450 is a map more wide which will cover the next adjacent location. Look at the diagram for the motherboard of your PC. The GTS 450 requires a PCI-E power connector 6 pins provide the extra power for the card.
