I just bought a new laptop Compaq CQ60-420us (nw156ua) a week ago. Machine comes with Vista Home Premium and I installed Win7 rc1 64 on another partition.

Initially I could not it remains connected to my router for more than 15 minutes approximately. I just press the wireless button to turn it off and turn it back on. Who would fix it for about 15 minutes.

I called HP support, they tried many things including for me to do a factory restore.  They finally decide to send me a new wireless card. I received the new card yesterday, had it installed and it is essential to do the same thing. Last night, I dug an older linksys wireless router that I have used in the past. Hooked upward and the laptop stays connected to her very well. I had the wpa security enabled on the linksys routers both netgear.

Then, I went to the netgear router and disabled security. It is very well connected. Not sure if wep security will allow him to work. I refuse to use just the wep security. It is easily hackable. And of course I will not let it be secure.

So it seems to be a compatibility issue between my router netgear wrn3500 and the atheros 5007 wireless card security. The router has the latest version of the installed software package.

I guess I'll call HP tonight and see if they can send me a different brand/model wireless card. All my other wireless devices work fine with this netgear router. I don't want to get rid of the cause of netgear, this is a gigabit & Wireless N router.

Does anyone know of any other mini pci express card that works with my laptop? I would get a card N. I thought maybe the intel wifi link 5100 card. Not sure if those who are compatible with HP or not.

    Thank you!

When I called HP back support, they were completely useless. Everything I tried to ask them is if they could just give me a list of wireless pci-express cards that would be compatible with my laptop. They did not understand my problem and could not give me a list. I wanted to the list because I read several times that HP has a 'white list' cards that will work with their motherboards. If you put a card that isn't on the list you will receive a message to remove the card from the bios when you turn on the machine. I checked this by testing the intel 5100 card on my laptop and it gave me this message.

Oh btw, it's MUCH safer these days to update the bios of your computer, it was many years ago. I do all the time and have never had a 'brick' on me. Even safer on a laptop with a battery in good condition. In fact I recommend it as part of your troubleshooting process. That will not fix the problem tho atheros wireless.

However, in the end, I was able to operate pretty well no thanks to HP!

I had to buy another card Atheros tho. It was the 5009 Atheros. And it's a card N I so was able to get with my router N 300mbs speed!

I found it on ebay for about $25 plus delivery charges. Oh and these cards are VERY easy to replace. There is a door on the bottom of the laptop with a captive screw - remove the door, then another screw which holds the card down. 2 drivers who commit on the 2 connectors on the map - the map out on the right.

This card worked very well for me I highly recommend to solve the problem with shit card atheros 5007.

Unfortunately, my laptop was stolen 2 weeks ago! (it was only 2 months old!) Some loser scumbag broke in with me so that I was at work and stole my laptop and my LCD 24 ''!

I've had this laptop for $350 new Staples. I can't find a similar agreement now.

Don't know if I'll go with HP\Compaq after what I went through just to make it work wireless...

  • VPN - cannot subnets behind 2nd router internal access. Help.

    Hi guys,.

Looking for a little help after a day of frustration. I'm really new to this and student so I know I'm doing something stupid. In any case, I bought an ASA 5505 and placed it between my cable Modem and router Cisco 3745. The external interface on the ASA is dhcp, the inside interface is 192.168.100.1. The external interface of the 3745 is 192.168.100.2 and inside is 192.168.1.1. The VPN pool is 192.168.200.10 - 192.168.200.10.

    These are the problems...

    1. when I set up a VPN to ASA session, I can ping and access resources dierectly connected to interfaces of the ASA and the 192.168.100.0 internal ASA network. However, I can't access any resource behind the 3745. I can't even ping 192.168.1.1.

    2. Although I believe I sent split tunnel, I can't turn to the internet when connected to the VPN.

Here's my network and my config ASA topology and router config...

    internet routers IP 192.168.1.1 - 57.194.97.1

We have 3 accesspoints wireless taking their internet of 192.168.1.1 oky guy

what I want to do is when I connect to any wireless network to connect to the data line dsl with router 192.168.2.1

When I use the ethernet on my pc I have IP addresses 192.168.2.222 for router data line and 192.168.1.222 for internet

but the wireless is DHCP n that it is connected only to 192.168.1.1, which is the internet router, how can I do 192.168.1.1 192.168.2.1 when I connect

  • How can I make a route in this way?

    Hello world

How to make a path, I tried many ways that - Script: fill the long way - model... always off on a right angle and does not have the path of the road...

It's pretty hard to explain, but I want to make the dotted lines like the image im using here road.

    2c5130e2f0d1db94cfcc379ae4fc1a53.png

and then to turn this entire selection in my document in this way somehow, but perfectly placed around the corners and straight paths so... Is it possible to somehow...

I have a card I'm working on a satellite image huge document 20480 20480 x and as a road to high detail images but can't make it work...

As you can see the road is gray semi textured road above, but without lines...

    29d65bda5ee8b48eb526be6bdc3eb232.jpg

    Thank you!

Hey, if I'm not mistaken not want to build the road that runs along the boss in the lower part.

I think I'd do two ways:

    With the help of Photoshop:

1 create a long drive in a document, you can use your road of basic on the first image and duplicate it to design your long straight way. Save the document. I would sugest you tiff file format, so that you can keep trasarency on the borders.

    2. place the road in your map document. In the main menu choose file/place/Linked and put your file

    3. use the puppet wrap tool. In the main menu choose Edit/Pupped envelope.

    4. Add control points where you want the road to turn and move.

    With the help of Illustrator:

    1. create a brush model using the portion of the road.

    2. make a path and assign the brush

    3. copy from Illustrator and paste to the Ps as smart object

  • How to make the echo of my internal speakers

I have a laptop HP G62-340US with a Windows 7 64-bit OS!  I tried to change some of the sounds to something different.  Now, there is an echo, whenever there is no noise... get by e-mail, etc.  I was trying to watch TV on my PC program and could not because of this echo!  I don't know what I clicked to cause this echo.  I tried to change the sound of something different and always get the echo.  I have external speakers due to its low on my laptop!  I unplugged the & echo is still there.  What could make this echo and how to fix it?  Thank you!

    Hello

Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "playback devices".  Left click the device once to highlight default (it is usually 'speakers and headphones') and then click the properties button.  Click the enhancements tab and put a check mark in the box next to "disable all improvements.  Click on apply to save the changes and then click OK in all other windows and see if allowed at all.

  • Html5 Flash - How can I make a clip from movie internal slow down and stop when it happen a certain group?

I'm creating a car braking system using flash, and I have a spin of the wheel. I want the wheel to slow down and stop after the brake pedal is pushed to a certain range. I know I could do with frame-by-frame animation but hoped there is a short cut - javascript? If not the party slowing then is the code to do just the internal clip (rotation of the wheel) to stop when it is in a frame. ? Thank you

  • Remote access VPN routing

    Hello

I'm having a problem on the VPN routing.

The VPN client is connected correctly to ASA5510, but cannot access inside ASA and the Internet or another network. What I want to achieve is.

    [email protected] / * / -> ASA5520 (public IP)-> Inside (172.16.1.0)

The VPN address pool uses 172.168.10.0 (I also tried 172.16.1.100 - 120 with the same network from the inside).

    Hello

    A quick test, try this.

-Turn on nat - t (if its disable)

    Command: crypto isakmp nat-traversal 20

    see if it helps.

    If not,

-Run a continuous ping from the client to the ASA inside the interface, make sure that you run the command 'management-access to inside' before you start with the ping.

-Time our RESPONSE ICMP or inside the interface... ?

    If time-out, then

-Check the number of decrypts using the command "show crypto ipsec his"

If ICMP response to inside interface is received by the VPN client.

-Ping to an internal host behind the ASA.

    -"Show crypto ipsec his"

IF you have received responses if first test then here you should see decrypts number increases.

-Apply the catches on the inside of the interface

You can consult the document below

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/ps6120/products_tech_note09186a0080a9edd6.shtml

-If you see the package source as VPN client interface to reach the inside interface for the destination of the host behind the ASA, then its a problem with your routing internal.

In case you have an L3 device connected to the ASA inside the interface, make sure that you have a route for GW subnet 192.168.1.x as ASA inside the interface i.e. 172.16.1.1 score

If his L2 or a dumb device, then as a quic test, make the following statement of the road using the command-line in windows on the host computer behind the asa participant in this test.

    route add 192.168.1.0 mask 255.255.255.0 172.16.1.1

Please let me know if it helps.

  • NAT router 1841 and 3550 switch help

Hi experts, I need some help with setting up a network.  Network diagram is attached.

I created 3 VLANs on the 3550 Switch and activated InterVLAN Routing.  I can't do a ping from one VLAN to another.  I've added static routes to networks VLAN on the router.  Is the only part I'm not sure where and how configure NAT?  For example, if it was just a standalone router Cisco 1841 I would just create list of access and NAT FA 0/0 outside and FA 0/1 on the inside.  It would be great if someone can give me an example or point me to the right direction.

    Router ISP--> Cisco 1841--> Switch Cisco 3550

    Cisco 1841 router:

    FA 0 / 0--> WAN Interface

    IP address: 30.20.10.2

    FA0 / 1 Interface LAN connected to the 3550 switch-->

    IP address: 10.0.0.1/24

    Cisco 3550 switch:

FA 0 / 24--> to connect to the Cisco 1841 router

    IP address--> 10.0.0.2/24

    FA 0/1 - 0 / 10--> VLAN 1

    FA 0/11 - 0 / 20--> VLAN 2

    FA 21/0 - 0 / 23--> VLAN3

    Thank you

Hello, it's the same thing, but in your access list, you need allow all of your internal address ranges. On your router and 3550 make sure routing everything is OK, you say you have connectivity.

This means that your network 10 should be able to get to your 192 networks and vice versa.

On your 3550, you can have a default route to the router. And your router should have roads to 192 networks via the address 10 of the 3550.

    Then the NAT configuration

    Int fa0/1
    IP NAT inside

    Int fa0/0
    NAT outside IP

    IP access-list standard MYNAT
    Permit 10.0.0.0 0.0.0.255
    Permit 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255
    Permit 192.168.2.0 0.0.0.255
    Permit 192.168.3.0 0.0.0.255

And then in your NAT statement

IP NAT inside source list MYNAT interface fa0/0 overload

    Hope this helps

  • Site to Site VPN - ASA 5510 / 851 router - no Sas?

We have installed an ASA 5510, version 1.0000 software running.  In a remote area, we have a Cisco router to 851 with tunneling IPSec VPN for a PIX 515e.  I try to open a backup between the 851 and ASA connection new, and I have a problem.  I used ASDM on the side of the ASA and CCP on the side 851 and created a new VPN site to site on both, with PSK encryption algorithms, etc..  I checked the connectivity between the external interfaces of the two devices, and the associated ACLs are simple, because they allow all IP traffic on the internal side of the two devices to talk with each other.

When I do a "crypto isakmp to show his" on the SAA, I get "there is no its isakmp.  When I do the same on the 851 router, I see only the existing connection to the PIX.  It seems that the tunnel does not run again.  I turned on debug various crypto and sent a series of pings, and I don't see any tunnel initiaion even be attempted.

CCP has a VPN to test the tool built in to the router.  ASDM has a similar feature?  Here's the relevant configs (at least I think... the SAA is enough Greek to me):

    Michael,

Since you are using the same ACL, subnets, even and even while on your router to your VPN 1 tunnels config and 2, your second VPN tunnel will not succeed because the router already has a tunnel with the PIX for the same traffic.

If you want to configure the ASA as peer backup scratch the second card encryption and instead, add the public IP ASA as a second peer under the original crypto configuration.

    Like this:

    crypto map SDM_CMAP_1 1 ipsec-isakmp

    description Tunnel to65.42.15.142

    set peer 65.42.15.142

    set peer 12.49.251.3

    game of transformation-ESP-3DES-SHA1

    match address 102

The router will attempt to connect to the PIX and if this fails (which means that the PIX has never responded) then it will try to connect to the ASA.

To test it, you could do either of two things: 1. taking the internet conection low PIX will make the router try to connect to the secondary host. 2: change (temporarily) on the router address peer of the PIX to a bogus IP that won't respond, when only one omits the router must try to negotiate with the ASA.

    I hope this helps.

  • FVS318N router keeps fall of connectivity

Hi all - I've posted this problem in the past. As usual. The problem clears for several months and then comes back. It is with my FVS318N router. Since yesterday, I lost all connectivity several times a day. Yesterday, it fell by 10 times. When this happens. I am unable to pint the router or connect to the router by connecting your laptop directly to a port on the router. I also still have questions to try to broadcast of live content. Where it keeps buffering. Today, support told me to do a factory reset. Really, I didn't do that but agreed to it. The router remained for about 6 hours and crashed again. The only change that I made after the reset has been to put my SSID wireless to my setting and set a password. With my router Verizon FIOS and Linksys routers I ever connectivity issues. The problem is, I need VPN access to my home and this router had built. Can anyone give me any advice with this router? Is this router just unreliable? This problem lasts for a few years. Netgear support sent me 3-4 routers via RMA. They all have the same experience. Knit weel for months, then started crashing. When it started crashing it is several times a day which makes this router unsable. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Thanks again for the responses. Rebooting the router is my challenge. In case of problem, the only way I can come back is the power cycle access so I wouldn't be able to get data from the syslog. I was not happy support not could not give me an ETA for that is when a person advances could connect to my router to see if they could discover something, but I realize support teams are busy. I agree an RMA more and keep my fingers crossed I will finally have a router that is reliable. As side note, my Cisco router has been online for about 5 days now, so I am confident the problem is with the Netgear router. Unfortunately, my confidence is not there with Netgear more but am willing to try a router more

  • Satellite P100 and connect to my Netgear router wnr834b

    Hello

I have a Satellite P100-429 with the intel pro wireless 3945abg.

Basically, everything is turned on, but I have questions.
I can only connect to the router if its position on the floor, standing upward, to an outside wall and between dispay wooden unit and a phone wooden stands with a cordless phone digital idect x 1.

If I have the router a couple of inches, it loses its connection, then it is impossible to connect to new weird ey.

The driver in the wireless Pro is 10.1.0.13, not sure if I should update the driver.

When I do a search of wireless signals in the area, my router is trying to contact it says unable to contact I update and then it disappears and takes several upgrades to appear sometimes just restart the ISST makes the router appear but still won't connect unless it is in a position, that I told you about.

p.s. the channel on the router is 3.

    I'm in the United Kingdom

    Hello

It seems not to be a problem of laptop, but to me it looks like a range of WLan problem.
However, try disabling the saving on the wireless network card. You can find it in the WLan card properties.
Further consult the Intel site for update driver and use the Intel Proset utility to configure Wlan.
Could also test the performance of Wlan without using encryption of Wlan.

You know, it's not easy to tell exactly what could be the problem. We need to look a little

  • Route 6612

    PCIe-6612, LabVIEW 2011.

I want to directly route digital signal (up to 10 MHz) of a PFI (source PFI19) to another (PFI17). Routing table says that he will operate counter 7, which is already used in my application, so I have to route manually.

What is the correct way to do it, not to disrupt the signal and use minimal resources?

DAQmx connect PFI 19 to say Ctr5Gate and then Ctr5Gate to PFI17? He sacrifices counter5. Both routes have a direct connection to the routing table. It seems to work, it's the way the best/correct?

Yes, by using a counter to route internally PFI 19 and 17 of the PFI is a proper way, but as you said, if you need to use this counter, that he would not be the best way. Using an external lead to the closure of the signal between the lines PFI can also work and be a simple solution.

  • Want to 4500 Series: I still need to be able to recycle router/printer on my home network wireless daily

Several devices were all printed on home wireless network, but often the message of the printer is offline. Scan doctor suggests power recycling the router/printer, which seems to work but which is very annoying when it happens every day. y at - it a fix for this problem

These settings are to set up your wireless printer to stay connected to your router, wireless devices stay better connected and makes your router secure and hack proof.

While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers must always be assigned an IP (fixed) manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network.

    1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here (Windows solution 4, static IP).
    2. Or check in the printer that ' Auto Off/sleep/power saving mode ' is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check the properties of your printers.
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
    4. If necessary and you have assigned a static IP address, try using auxiliary for the preferred DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS server.
    5. Wireless printers work on the band Wireless 2.4 Ghz not the band 5.0 Ghz.
    6. Make sure the printer is on the latest firmware by checking with the HP support site.
    7. Check all devices wireless in your home for interference. Check microwave, babyphones, phones, wireless and wireless alarm systems are a big culprit.  Any of these will knock at your printer wireless intermittently.
    8. Make sure that your printer and router are at least 5 feet independently of each other.

In the router: (refer to the manual of your router for more information)

    1. Use a fixed wireless channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
    2. Set the router to 20 Mhz only or 145Mbps router function.
    3. Always use WPA2-AES encryption (personal), but you can try the "mixed" mode
    4. Disable the WPS and never use it and disable the UPnP for the security of routers. No one can hijack your system now and help with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, research on the web).
    5. If you have a router dual band (2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz bands), make sure the SSID is NOT identical, they must be different for all the bands, even for networks without comments.
    6. SSID broadcast should be enabled.
    7. Save all the settings. Food at the same time, wait 2 minutes.  Power on router wait 2 minutes.
    8. Marketing the printer and check that it reconnects to the router.

Microsoft has announced an update of Windows for the detection of device address... mode devices .waking 'sleep'. Update your Windows 10.

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/3147458

If you have Windows 7/8/8.1 discovery network is on or off?

    1. Control Panel/Network and Internet/network and sharing Center / advanced sharing settings.
    2. Under home or work (current profile) / network discovery.
    3. Select "Turn on network discovery" and save the changes.

Now the last thing to do once everything above has been tried and you still have the same problem, completely uninstall and delete the printer and its software.

Use http://www.iobit.com/en/advanceduninstaller.php .  Use of the powerful scanner at the end to remove all registry entries.

Now go back and reinstall the drivers and full software on the HP website.

Last resort effort - if your printer has an Ethernet connection, suggest you to get some adapters line and convert your Ethernet wiring for your printer.

  • Help: Why the IP addresses change in a multi-router Home Network (Wrt320n, wrt54g2)

I am trying to update my routers and computers at home. Previously, I had a router connected to the internet with a wireless G and an another wireless router connected to the external router with another wireless G network. The external wireless network was used to play games and the internal network has been used for all the other stuff TIVO, access points of impression, computers, etc. The external network had 192.168.1.x ip addresses, and the internal network addresses are 192.9.2.x used routers were linksys wrt54g and wrt54g2. Everything worked.

So I bought a Linksys wrt320n and put in place that the external router. However when the internal router is connected to the external router, the ip addresses of the devices connected to cable networks and wireless to the internal router are numbered 192.168.1.x instead of what I expected (192.9.2.x). This resulting in the Buffalo Access Point and the access HP Points not being seen in the network. In addition, if I disconnect the internal router to the external router, after reboot ip addresses are what I expect.

Of course, technology has changed or I was very lucky. But why are the IP addresses internal changed/performed by the external router? I watched as each private network between them.
