make the field required in the user interface

Hello gurus.

I use jDev 11.1.2.1.0

I have a form that is based on EmployeesVO. Suppose I should do 'PhoneNumber' required field, but not by checking the required option in the EO.
I have to do in the jspx only. It is not conditional, it must be! = null whenever the user tries to save the record (insert / update) or decides to insert another record.
How to handle this?

Thank you very much.

Hi user,

Choose which inputtext in the user interface. and you can see a property required in the property palette.
link text with the bean this entry, then you can play with this inputtext. as you wish.

  • How you disable the BEEP that always makes the user interface?

    I have my computer the silent mode (no sound card under voltage, no volume,), but still the beeps of LabView to me whenever he does something.  I need to disable this option.  I can't find an option in the Tools-Options and nothing else seems to fit.  (I'm sure it's the stupid integrated oinker that Windows uses when it detects no keyboard and things like that, but I'm reluctant to cut the branches, but I might have to do).

    Oh, I remember from long ago! This isn't a problem of LV, but a general windows one. You can disable the beep in the following way:

    Open Device Manager (by management on my computer or control-> system-> hardware-> Device Manager)

    View-> devices show hidden

    No Plug-and play devices and and open

    right click and disable the beep

  • Develop the user interface to CS6 Plugin - which produced required Adobe?

    According to the development of the CS6 Illustrator SDK documentation, the only way to achieve platform-independent UI is the use of the flash or flex.

    I have to develop a plugin for AI CS6 for windows and Mac. Adding native controls is restless and too much time.

    The flex mxml seems relatively simple and fast (taking into account the time of development). That's why I chose flex as the UI component for my plugin.

    1. to use flex UI, I'll need to add all of the user interface in a mxml + actionscript compiled into an Extension of the AI (zxp file).

    2. all my business logic will remain in C++ which I believe will be platform independent.

    The SDK documentation confuses me in that all Adobe products are required to develop the flex user interface extension.

    1 adobe Extension Builder 2.1 (to generate the zxp file)

    2 flash Builder 4.5 stand-alone (is different from flex builder )?

    3 CS Creative Suite SDK (what is different from the THE CS6 SDK)?

    Which are optional and that mandatory for flex UI designig of AI plugin?

    I am a developer C++ and new to flex. So please ignore any declaration of amateaur above.

    Yes, you can use MFC, but it makes your windows plugin only.

    QT and wxWidgets have user interface designers and is cross-platform.

  • How to reset the Status field and delete ToDo list outside the user interface?

    All, morning

    HR 802 generating WebHelp.

    I made use of the status field and ToDo List in the past. For my next release aid, I would like to reset these fields for all the subjects, so I can still have accurate reports as subjects of creation/revision of the final course.

    Is it possible to do without opening each topic in the user interface and compensation/change manual fields? (I thought to delete all fields of ToDo and recreate them, but thought that there is an easier way.) This information appears in each section or in a separate file?

    Thank you

    Patrick

    Hi Patrick

    1. Close all topics that can be opened in the editor.
    2. Open the pod of the list of topics.
    3. Select all subjects.
    4. Right-click and choose Properties from the subject.
    5. Click the status tab.
    6. Modify if needed.

    All subjects should change to reflect the new status and the task list settings.

    that is my view of the user interface should look like below:

    Tabe1ID Col1, Col2
    ABC Col1value1 Col2value1

    What version of Jdeveloper? Since you are new to the forums... Please read this before posting so that we can help best-
    https://forums.Oracle.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=56

    If you use ADF BC, you can create a VO with a join between the table 1 & table 2 exposing all the fields.
    Then you can drag and drop the original Version as an array of attributes required on the user interface.

    This should focus on what I said - the name instead of id

  • Validation of the user interface of by-pass when the click on the menu

    Hello

    Scenario:

    Now, try to browse page by clicking on an item of menu registered in the recent items menu in the Shell of the user interface.

    Earlier we faced a similar question of the necessary validation is triggered when the click on the button 'Cancel' in the edit page. At this point, we immediately applied = true to the Cancel button and the problem is solved.

    Is there something on similar lines for the validation of UI bypassing during the click on the recent items?

    It is the same for the af:menuItem IE (immediately apply = "true" to get around the validation of the user interface [client side], its support by almost all components of the adf).

  • Offset of the user interface after update of El Capitan

    Hello. Since I upgraded my Macbook Pro late 2013 to El Capitan retina, I've known GAL of the user in function, mainly opening animation of safari and switching between desktop computers. These issues are only to make my user base, I created a test user and concluded that the test user was not the offset of the user interface. I have reinstalled the operating system, as well as talked to apple. Apple had me reset the Pram so that delete files, including:

    / Library/LaunchAgents

    ~/Library/LibraryAgents

    / Library/LaunchDaemons

    / Library/Caches

    ~/Library/caches

    and many other files like these.

    None of that helped, my UI lag is still there and fine. Also, I'm not sure if this is relevant; However, my recovery HD (available from start by pressing the alt/option key) is not an option. I'm not sure if the files I deleted with apple support caused it or reinstalling the operating system has done this. IM thinking delete files because I reinstalled the operating system using the HD recovery.

    Does anyone know how to fix the lag in the UI? I know other people have this problem, google search and this forum but no clear answer has not developed.

  • Impressive transformation slow due to the updating of the user interface

    Hello

    I feel a huge slow down in my test as engine

    I update the display after each test. It consists of a rather

    "simple table" with a subtle change of color and bold

    to indicate the failure or success of the test:

    I have also tried several things to determine what routine was

    make the program almost crawling like a snail, here's my

    results:

    No UI refresh: 0m48s (same as Teststand with no updates of the user interface)

    The discount but no page table switch: 1m06s

    Bay of refreshment and switch page: 1m26s

    There are 314 tests, up to 314 redraw and possibly

    switch page 314 to reposition the view. Which gives the

    following user interface refresh costs:

    Update of the table: 18 years/314 = 57ms (replacing just a single line, Center to top)

    Switch to page: 20 s/314 = 64ms (bottom right corner)

    Is this really the case? Is there a way to make the refresh of the user interface

    faster? Create two separate loops/threads, one to make

    the test, one for updating the UI asynchronously?

    I understood for an overall picture about different

    David Koch

    Well, multi-listbox control is a problem if your change causes access to the muliple property node. For each property node LabVIEW normally does a refresh of the user interface which is very quickly. Fortunately, there is a fairly easy way to fix this.

    Use a node of property for the current VI (just drop a property node and change its class type VI Server-> VI reference) to get the reference of the Panel. Then use another property node connected to your reference of the Panel and select update from the Panel to postpone. Set this value to true before your Listbox (and any other updated user interface) and set the value to false then.

  • Generation of the user interface of function error

    Hello

    just one tiny problem: on a Panel, I have a progress bar. Now, if I go to the user interface to use in the user interface editor, the UI must be saved, compiled and linked and results in some errors, see below. Not a real question that I can test all events/ToolTips in the user interface editor, but mistakes are always a little unnerving .

    Hi Wolfgang,.

    This is a bug confirmed in 2013: #424745.

    It is expected that the code for the custom control must be compiled and linked (unregistered, however). However, the link must succeed, and you should be able to interact with the custom controls everything in operation. This was the behavior in 2012. Certainly, it is not a good way to interact with a progress bar in the user interface editor. But for other custom controls (control password, for example) it makes more sense.

  • Feedback from the user interface

    In the Simulator (090), when the user selects the gear (top right) to display a list of parameters to select, the bar of the background and button scrolls down.  However, it is not intuitive how to return to the "main" screen  Still, the down arrow in the main screen button bar pointing downwards and is grayed out.  There seems to be a second "up" button placed in the Center, but it is masked by the "Media" button  Suggest that it is more obvious to select and restore.  Suggest you hide the button bar, make the less gray background and make the arrow more obvious upward so that the user knows that they can select the area to restore.

    Don't forget, this is still in phase beta/Simulator, I am sure that the final design of the user interface will be better/more intuitive.

                                                invalidate();

                                        }

    any solution?

    None of the invalidate() method calls are needed in this code.

    For efficiency rather than to add the field individually, I recommend that you use the addAll method.  In your loop, create an array of fields to add, and then use addAll to add table.

    If you do these two things I think that your problem will be solved.

    But if not, can you please tell us exactly what are the messages you see when the process is complete.

  • Background image on the User Interface

    I'm trying to place a background behind my screen of the application image. So instead of the usual white, there would be a "background.png". I am following this thread with the blackberry API set

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/drawing-bitmap-in-mainScreen-background/m-p/...

    So far, I tried to apply it within my own application, with the code to start as follows:

    final class UserInterfaceScreen extends MainScreen {
        HorizontalFieldManager _fieldManagerTop;
        VerticalFieldManager _fieldManagerMiddle;
        HorizontalFieldManager _fieldManagerBottom;
        BitmapField _bitmap;
        Bitmap _canadaImage, _ukImage, _usImage, _backgroundBitmap, _fieldBitmap;
        LabelField _label;
        BasicEditField _input;
        String _canadaCapital, _ukCapital, _usCapital, _capital;
        int displayed = 0;

        public UserInterfaceScreen() {
            super();
            LabelField title = new LabelField("User Interface Sample",
                    LabelField.ELLIPSIS | LabelField.USE_ALL_WIDTH);
            setTitle(title);

            HorizontalFieldManager _horizontalFieldManager = new HorizontalFieldManager(HorizontalFieldManager.USE_ALL_WIDTH | HorizontalFieldManager.USE_ALL_HEIGHT){

                //Override the paint method to draw the background image.
                public void paint(Graphics graphics)
                {
                    //Draw the background image and then call paint.
                    graphics.drawBitmap(0, 0, 640, 900, _backgroundBitmap, 0, 0); //240
                    super.paint(graphics);
                }

            };
            _backgroundBitmap = Bitmap.getBitmapResource("background.png");
            _fieldManagerTop = new HorizontalFieldManager();
            _fieldManagerMiddle = new VerticalFieldManager();
            _fieldManagerBottom = new HorizontalFieldManager();

                add(_horizontalFieldManager);
                add(_fieldManagerTop);
                add(new SeparatorField());
                add(_fieldManagerMiddle);
                add(new SeparatorField());
                add(_fieldManagerBottom);

    Basically, I'm trying to combine the thread above with the user interface tutorial.

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/user-interface/Ta-p/442781

    The question is when I run the code, I just get the background image, none of the other content is displayed in the foreground. I am this approach correctly?

    I'm not sure the solution you received one will work - it may well do, but the approach is different from what I do.  I based my image of background processing around comments in this article:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/MainScreen-explained/Ta-p/606644

    But if you look at what you said your screen, you will see why you don't see all your real fields.

    The first thing that you add to your screen is as follows:

    HorizontalFieldManager _horizontalFieldManager = HorizontalFieldManager(HorizontalFieldManager.USE_ALL_WIDTH | nouveau HorizontalFieldManager.USE_ALL_HEIGHT) {}

    You said this Manager to use the full height and width.  Then what place is left for any other Manager/field.

    You only add this option to provide abackground.  So actually, to do this, you must you add all your fields and managers in this HFM.  Otherwise that will expose after this one (which, as noted way they have no space to display in). I think you'll see something, if you replace this:

    Add (_horizontalFieldManager);
    Add (_fieldManagerTop);
    Add (new SeparatorField());
    Add (_fieldManagerMiddle);
    Add (new SeparatorField());
    Add (_fieldManagerBottom);

    with

    Add (_horizontalFieldManager);
    _horizontalFieldManager.Add (_fieldManagerTop);
    _horizontalFieldManager.Add (new SeparatorField());
    _horizontalFieldManager.Add (_fieldManagerMiddle);
    _horizontalFieldManager.Add (new SeparatorField());
    _horizontalFieldManager.Add (_fieldManagerBottom);

    But it probably won't be good, so you should follow the advice given in the previous Post or see the KB article.
