  This happens with many different sites, but only occasionally. I reloaded Firefox, run Norton Utilities, Malwarebyes Anti-Malware program several times. Scam sites vary, false updates of Firefox, bidding sites, a lot of different. If I wait about 30 seconds, the arrow goes to a hand and I can click to get to where I want to go. I can simply close the scam site and hand returns to the site of origin.

  You have MyWordTool in your list of extensions. Malwarebytes should detect it.

  You can try to remove it from the Add-ons Manager (press Ctrl + Shift + A to open it), category of Extensions. If this is not possible, then try to uninstall from the control panel while Firefox is closed.

  You can try Malwarebytes Chameleon, which gets Malwarebytes Anti-Malware running on infected computers. Don't forget to check for definition updates after installation.

  I also note that you have two extensions of Norton disabled. You may want to reactivate if you have disabled them yourself, or looking for updates if they are disabled because they are incompatible with your version of Firefox.

  I think that my Mac Pro (early 2008) is infected by evil ware. (I deliberately used the Word 2 spelling to try to make a distinction between the entity unknown I think I and - maybe - we can download free software).  I'm not familiar with the various players 'bad', so I'll just refer to it as "my entity."  I think it's a virus that is sophisticated, because, among other things, I think it changes the use/application of Malwarebytes.  A brief description of why I say this.

  I had, before, downloaded and ran Malwarebytes.  I remember well, it's that Malwarebytes did not find any serious problem.  I also ran Sophos, and that he had found two threats, one of which dealt with Sophos.  Sorry, I don't remember their names.  But, as I'm sure you don't know that Sophos takes something like 8-12 hours to run, so I have not used even once, recently.  But, I have not called Malwarebytes on my file utilities.  When I clicked it, I got a window titled users. and that was Apple, comments and shared.  I decided to download Malwarebytes again (but without deleting the Malwarebytes I just described), thinking that the the Malwarebytes nine, well replace the bogus one.  Well, he didn't.  So I can't say that the download didn't happen, or happened, he was immediately converted to users.  So I have 'something' with the title "Malwarebytes Anti - Malware" which is actually the user.

• My guard shrink C drive space

  Hi guys, please help. I already had the help of previous posts about it. But it is STILL and I am at a loss.

  The problem: I keep losing space in my C drive! I want to erase space, I think I'm good, and then it's no good anyway, it's back to shrink. Two days ago my free space was 7 GB. A few hours earlier, she was reduced to 3.66 GB. NOW, it's to 2.29 GB!

  You will need to run mode without failure. Restart your computer and as soon as it starts rebooting, press in and hold the F8 key. Wait until you get to the B & W screen, when choose Mode safe mode with networking. Which leaves download then in Safe Mode and you should get past the obstruction.

  If you still cannot download, three scanners online for you talk:

  TrendMicro: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/us/ ; and,

  Malwarebytes Chameleon: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/chameleon/ .

  Between the Safe Mode and online scanners, you should be able to go beyond the obstruction. Post your results here and let me know how you fare.

  work on a computer running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, and according to the owner on the 16th malwarebytes began to break up the dialog box just says that the program had planted and windows must close, no information error or something. so I pulled the event logs and it shows MSVCR100.dll as the culprit, however. There are more than 30 different files with the same name. and most are in different program folders, malwarebytes is the version and MD5 info for anyone who is in my computer (I also use malwarebytes) I run a complete scan with TrendMicro housecall thinking it might be something hidden in there but he found nothing.  I tried to run the Chameleon of Malwarebytes, but when it launched the program it will fail the same way.  I have the event logs loaded on my skydrive http://1drv.ms/1lUZtLu I would appershate if someone could watch them over and see if I missed something.

  1. uninstalled and reinstalled the program
  2. full scan with TrendMicro Housecall (64-bit)
  3. system restore
  4. reinstalled the program
  5. taken from the installation of a known working installation directory

  My next recourse must have the operating system offline (using UBCD) and execution of an Analyzer of virus of rescue,.

  i have a new appointment with the customer on 19 for this.

  If anyone has any suggestions for this problem it would be great, I have not had this problem before.

  I have a few questions about this great little Mac Mini on my desk. Coming from a Windows background, I have a bit of inherent paranoia that needs a bit of smoothing.

  I have read about the security of the Mac, on the defences of sandbox, Gatekeeper, never install suspicious applications etc. But I guess it's always better to have a scanner installed as well. Mac simplifies the sort to choose as my old Windows, Emsisoft Anti-Malware and Superantispyware programs do not provide versions of Mac.

  Malwarebytes is one of my classmates that comes with the Mac version. And howdy to how fast it scans. O_o compared to Windows 7 minutes 30 seconds.

  Norton was even crap in Windows and Avast, I have more confidence. Avira for Mac looks nice and simple.

  So my questions are the following:

  (1) do I need anything else besides that Malwarebytes and Avira? (And common sense, I got load of Windows security vulnerabilities...)

  (2) as I understand it, Windows malicious software may enter the Mac, but they are completely powerless to do anything, just hang out? Under no circumstances can they interfere with my Mac? So as long as I scan with Malwarebytes, all bad guys he finds are for Mac and trash from potential Windows that the rest is harmless anyway?

  Messages in these forums just repeat what the Malwarebytes company says on its site.  It simply doesn't get it. Here's what they say:

  To uninstall Anti-Malware for Mac, launch the program and choose Uninstall Malwarebytes in the menu help (menu help are on the bar menu at the top of the screen).

  I run the program, and a box of 3 options will appear.  The last section is called help.  By clicking Help, anywhere on or near the help, only takes you to a guideline that tells you nothing about uninstalling.  The expression 'Uninstall Malwarebytes' is nowhere.

  In addition, aid is down, not from the top.

  I'm the one not getting it?  Can someone help me please?
