  When I type the location of the Pushpins on the universal search bar, that it flashes and no results. BUT if I do a ctrl + f and select tab "place / data", and then type the location of bug it appears. I'm willing to type in the universal search bar and get to my place of Pushpins.   I've never managed to get Windows Search to work in XP Service Pack 3, but the Search Wizard works fine.  I tried to index the C: drive.  I clicked on 'Rebuild' under Indexiing Options.  The c: drive shows in Indexing Options, excluding some unnecessary subdirectories.  It's all buzzing around for awhile and then says "0 indexed items" and "complete indexing.   I use Norton Internet Security.  What I am doing wrong?

• Pre restores the number of letters in the universal search

  When you enter numbers in the universal search, pressing the space bar converts them to the corresponding letter.  Is this a bug in the update.

  As soon as you press the SPACEBAR after the numbers, i.e. Enter "123 main st", it converts to the 'ert' and your search ends up being "ert main st.

  The integrated universal search will search the multimedia files stored on the BlackBerry Smartphone (device memory and micro SD card).  He is not looking for other types of files, but you can write an application that integrates with universal search that provides this feature.

  UiAction is used for this.  However, UiAction is not available in the current version 6.0 of BlackBerry Java SDK.  This will be fixed in a next version.

• Universal search of blackBerry Smartphones do not looking for contacts

  At my 9780 for about a month, with OS 6 v6.0.0.285.

  At first I could just type a name from the home screen and it sought contacts, dial and press Green call button.

  Now, he's searching everything except contacts-i must go in first contacts to call someone.

  Try this: go to Options. Type 'search' in the search bar. You should get the search options allowing you to choose what is sought when using universal search.

  I use Firefox 6.0.1 on Windows 7.

  I installed software player Free Desktop Clock 2.37 and then Firefox was hi-jacked, so I chose carefully the custom displays.

  I use several search engines and would like to be able to change the active engine without having to open the menu and click on the one I want. Is this possible? I guess that's what for the 'Keyword' field in the Manager. I have assigned keywords, but don't know how to use.

  The keywords you assign via 'Edit the keyword' in the search engines Manager work as quick searches via the address bar.
  
  They work the same as when you create a bookmark and give a keyword.

  I'm trying to integrate my application with unified search. So far I managed to save the app as a provider of external research hassle, but when I try to expose my data of unified search API I can not all results when searching for universal Home Screen search.

  Also, I ran the UnifiedSearchDemo sample that is provided with the JDK again and I noticed that the POI of this application data are also not visible when searching on homescreen (only on the search inside the app screen).

  So my question is, do I need to do any extra step so my data appears to the user to do the research

  from the home screen.

  There is another issue here as well.

  The application of universal search looking for another value to return to the getType method of the class that implements EntityBasedSearchable by mistake.

  As a work around you can OR the type with 1 l (1, not eleven long) as shown below.  Our development team is aware of this problem and a solution is planned for a future version of BlackBerry device software.
